Kane's POV
"Mystical being?" Rid cocked a brow, breaking the intense silence we had.
"This is a lot," I muttered. If it was a different circumstance, I wouldn't believe it, but judging from what I had seen these past days, my reality seemed to have taken a weird turn.
"If she is truly tied to this mystical being, what does it want? Why her and why wait ten years to bring her back?"
"So many questions, a lot of pressure," he replied.
"It would have been better if we handled this in a time when we weren't bothered by a psychopathic maniac merging packs under his name,"
"This maniac happens to be her brother," I said. I turned to the door and there was still no sign of her.
"Have you noticed something as well about her?"
"What?" I turned my focus from the door.
"Her scent, it's not there," he answered. "It's never there, no matter how hard I try to pick it out."
