Evelin's POV
'How did Allen end up here?' I thought, caught off guard by his sudden appearance.
Allen approached me moments later. "Evelin, Selina mentioned you were here, so I came to get you. Did you manage to return the clothes?"
"Yeah," I answered, realizing Selina must have given him my location.
"Then let's head out." Allen reached over, gently prying my hand away from Jimmy's collar. His eyes locked onto Jimmy's with unwavering intensity.
He declared, "If you've got the balls to come after me, to make me your little game, then bring it on, Mr. Hamilton."
I watched Jimmy's expression darken, his gaze burning as he stared at Allen's hand clasping mine—the same look of disgust he'd worn when he'd seen Allen embracing me outside the hospital.
"Nothing in this world is guaranteed," Allen continued. "You might think you're the predator, but you could easily find yourself as someone else's target."
He squeezed my hand and led me toward the exit.
