Evelin's POV
I walked back into the house and spotted Grey lounging on the living room sofa. "Evelin, do you really want a divorce that badly?" he questioned.
"There's no point in dragging out our marriage," I replied.
"You're willing to throw away our marriage over petty issues? What do you think marriage is?" His tone carried clear irritation.
"Petty?" I stared at him with contempt. "What Dalia and Claire put me through is petty? Your relationship with Grace is petty?"
"Dalia and Claire crossed the line with how they treated you, but they're behind bars now. They've faced consequences. Isn't that sufficient?" Grey shot back.
The absurdity of it hit me. 'Does paying a price automatically mean the victim should feel satisfied?' I wondered.
"And Grace and I are nothing more than friends. I never touched her, so quit accusing me of having an affair," he snapped.
"You honestly believe only physical betrayal qualifies as cheating?" I fired back.
