Evelin's POV
"You're seriously handing over the drone patent to Grey?"
Selina's shock was obvious when she learned what Grey wanted for the divorce.
"Just because I'm giving him the patent doesn't mean he'll know how to use it," I replied. "My work isn't that simple to manage."
This seemed to reassure Selina that I had something up my sleeve. "What about you? What's Grey offering in return for the divorce?"
"I requested five hundred thousand dollars," I said. That's what I'd demanded before walking out.
"What? Just five hundred thousand?" Selina's voice shot up. "You're the reason Grey got his company public. In any divorce, you should get half of everything he owns."
I shook my head. "His company's bleeding cash right now. Everything he has is locked up in the business, and his properties are leveraged to the banks. Sure, he's got stock, but it's frozen for several years."
