Sally's POV
Another morning, another empty bed. The sheets beside me are cold, untouched by the warmth of the men who should be here. Four mates, and yet I wake up to silence more often than not.
Sure, they have their duties. Patrols don't run themselves, and staying ahead of Warren requires early mornings. But deep down, I suspect this distance is intentional. They think they're being considerate, giving me room to breathe.
The irony burns. I do need space sometimes, but what I crave even more is their presence. Initially, the thought of managing four relationships terrified me. How could anyone possibly keep up with that kind of intensity? Now I'm starting to think the opposite problem might destroy me first.
They're pulling away, and I don't know how to stop it.
