The heavy wooden door groened as she as it swung open,the chill of the outside air rushing in like a sudden breath of life.I paused holding my suitcase tightly,my heart pounding louder than the distant church bells_this was it no more,no prayer whispered behind these walls no more familiar faces whispering in soft habits.Ahead layed a world I had only imagined.vast and unknown.
Fear curled tight in my stomach but deep down I had this shimmer of hope.I took a shaky step forward,the sunlight bright on my face ready to say goodbye to the only place I've known as my home.
