Chapter 11 - CH 11

A man walked by looking about Jason's height and build, so after a moment of hesitation, he snuck up behind him and gave a little electrical shock. The man crumpled into Jason's waiting arms as he quietly lowered the man to the floor and moved him out of the hallway and into a store room.

Jason changed, frowning as he tested his moments in the uniform not liking how tight it felt around his body. He considered knocking someone else out to get a larger size, but then looked down at the unconscious mortal in nothing but his underwear. He shook his head 'this will have to do'.

He looked at his purple camp Jupiter t-shirt and jeans. He knew he couldn't leave them here for someone to find. Sighing, he put a powerful enough current of electricity into the clothes to turn them to ash. He had many other outfits at home, but seeing his clothes as a pile of ash on the floor filled Jason with a sense of dread. Shaking his head to rid himself of the feeling, Jason picked up the guy's weapons and carefully stepped back out into the hallway. Now all he had to do was find where they were holding Percy and get both of them out of here.

'How large is this ship?' Jason thought after walking around for what felt like hours without finding any sign of Percy.

He then heard a voice say: "The kid is just sitting there; he doesn't look all that dangerous to me." Jason froze. 'They must be talking about Percy,' he thought as he followed the sound of the voice.

"Haven't you heard? He was able to hold his own against seven Avengers," another voice said.

"And I'm telling you there is no way that kid could do that," said the first voice. Jason came up to a door that was cracked open. Peeking inside, he saw two men sitting in front of many screens showing different parts of the ship. One screen caught his eye. There was Percy - he looked to be sitting in a glass prison - but Jason couldn't be sure since he couldn't see much else from his position by the door.

He pushed the door further open and quickly knocked out the two guards before they knew what hit them, shutting the door behind him. Jason pushed one of the unconscious guards out of the way, his chair rolling up against the wall. He stepped up to the control panel to get a better look at the screen. It was indeed Percy, complete with a bored expression on his face, his arms crossed over his chest, and sitting up against a glass wall, which seemed a little strange to Jason. On closer inspection it looked like the cell was suspended in the air with a good six-foot gap to the catwalk. He also noticed another screen that had Percy in it, but from a different angle. There was one door, four guards standing by it with automatic machine guns. Jason looked down at the control panel, wondering if he could get a map or find out where that room was.

Not trusting himself with all the buttons, he turned to one of the guards, an idea forming in his mind. He moved the guard's chair so they were facing each other and sent a small electric current through the man's body. He gasped, his eyes flying open.

"Wha-who are you?" he croaked in surprise. The man tried to draw his gun but was stopped when Jason grabbed it, emptied the clip, and tossed it onto the floor.

"That isn't important, I need you to tell me how to get to that cell." Jason demanded, pointing to the screen that had Percy's cell on it.

"You aren't getting any information out of me, you're just a kid." Jason rolled his eyes, realizing this was the one that didn't believe Percy was dangerous… well, that would be his mistake. Jason gazed hardened as he used his best wolf stare on the guard who actually gulped.

"Do you want to try that again?" Jason asked, making his voice darker and more threatening.

"Umm yeah if you go down two levels you will reach a hallway that will lead you to the detention cell." The guard spoke as quickly as possible in order to make the terrifying kid go away.

"I hope for your sake that you are telling the truth," Jason hissed. The man nodded frantically. In truth, Jason had no intention of hurting anyone if he could help it, but the guy didn't know that. Deciding that the guard was telling the truth, Jason knocked him out again and the man slumped back in the chair.

He slipped back out into the hallway, closing the door behind him, and made his way down to where he hoped the cell would be.

With the Avengers

"This kid is good, I mean he managed to stonewall Natasha and Fury," Tony chuckled. He was starting to like the kid. There weren't many people that could annoy Fury like that.

"Tony, this isn't funny, we need the information," Rhodey sighed, even though he found it kind of funny too. The kid didn't give up anything in the two-and-a-half hour interrogation, just snarky comments and useless bits of information The whole time, the kid remained calm and didn't seem to be affected by Fury's or Nat's glares.

"Why don't we try a truth serum?" Scott suggested. Bucky frowned, not liking that idea as memories of Hydra flashed in his mind.

"No, that isn't a good idea. Since Mr. Jacksons has an interesting DNA structure, I don't know the effects the serum would have on him," Banner stated, barely looking up from his tablet.

"We used drugs to knock him out. You didn't seem all that concerned then," Clint pointed out.

"Sedatives are different from truth serum, and even with the sedative you saw that it took twice the normal dosage used to knock out a grown man before the kid went down, and that was with the help of Natasha hitting him on the head with the butt of her gun. Even with all of that, the drug didn't last very long," Bruce said, shaking his head disapprovingly.

"There is something else-" Fury began to say.

"You are not going to torture a teen," Steve cutting him off, in a tone didn't leave room for any argument as he glared at the director.

"Torture is unreliable anyway, more times than not, the subject just tells you anything you want to hear to stop the pain, and I have a feeling that the kid is no stranger to pain," Natasha said. Everyone was momentarily silent as they remembered all the scarring on the teen's body.

"Umm, guys..." Scott started to say.

"We need to think of something. Dr. Banner, do you think that, if given time to study the kid's DNA, you could make a truth serum?" Fury asked.

"Guys..."

"I'm not sure. I have never found anyone with this kind of DNA structure," Banner sighed running his hand through his hair.

"GUYS!" Scott shouted standing up and getting everyone's attention.
