Chapter 12 - Chapter 12:The Alpha's plea

Just when it seemed like all was lost, a loud growl echoed through the mine, followed by the sound of paws pounding the ground. The wolves parted, revealing Asher standing in the entrance, his eyes blazing with fury.

"Let them go," he growled, his voice low and menacing.

The rogue wolves snarled, but they didn't attack. Instead, they backed away, revealing their alpha standing behind them. The alpha's eyes locked onto Asher, and for a moment, Aria saw a glimmer of respect.

"You've made your point, Asher," the alpha said, his voice dripping with malice. "But this isn't over. The pack will rise again, and next time, you won't be so lucky."

With that, the rogue wolves turned and fled, disappearing into the darkness. Asher approached Aria and Luna, his eyes scanning them for injuries.

"Are you okay?" he asked, his voice softening as he saw the fear in their eyes.

Aria nodded, still trying to process the sudden turn of events. "Yeah, we're fine," she said, her voice shaking slightly.

Asher's eyes locked onto Elijah, who was standing behind her. "And you are?" he asked, his tone neutral.

Elijah stepped forward, his eyes locked onto Asher's. "I'm Elijah," he said. "Aria's brother."

Asher's eyes widened in surprise, and for a moment, Aria saw a glimmer of curiosity. "I didn't know you had a brother," he said, his voice softening.

Aria shrugged. "I didn't know either until recently," she said. "But we need to get out of here. We can't stay in the mine forever."

Asher nodded, his eyes scanning the darkness. "I'll take you to the pack's den," he said. "You'll be safe there."

Aria hesitated, unsure of what to do. But Asher's words were reassuring, and she knew they couldn't stay in the mine forever.

As they made their way out of the mine, Aria couldn't help but feel a sense of trepidation. What lay ahead? And what did the future hold for her and her brother?

As they emerged into the night air, Aria saw the pack waiting for them, their eyes fixed on her and Elijah. Alpha Ryker stepped forward, his eyes locked onto Elijah.

"Welcome, Elijah," he said, his voice firm. "We've been waiting for you."

Elijah's eyes narrowed, his gaze flicking to Asher and then back to the alpha. "Waiting for me?" he repeated. "What do you mean?"

The alpha's expression was serious. "You're the last living heir of the ancient bloodline," he said. "And we need you to lead us against the rogue pack. Will you stand with us, Elijah?"

Aria's heart skipped a beat as Elijah hesitated, his eyes locked onto hers. What would he say? And what would happen next?
