Chapter 11 - Chapter 11:The shadow in the night

Aria's heart was still racing from the revelation about her brother when she saw the shadow lurking in the darkness. She grabbed Elijah's arm, her eyes locked onto the spot where she had seen the movement.

"What is it?" Elijah asked, his voice low and urgent.

Aria nodded towards the shadow. "I saw something," she whispered. "I think we're not alone."

Elijah's eyes scanned the darkness, his gaze piercing. "Stay close to me," he whispered, his voice barely audible.

Luna moved closer to Aria, her eyes wide with fear. Elijah took the lead, his senses on high alert as he guided them through the mine.

As they walked, Aria couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched. She kept looking over her shoulder, expecting to see the shadowy figure lurking behind them.

Suddenly, Elijah stopped, his head cocked to one side. "Do you hear that?" he whispered.

Aria listened, and soon she heard it too - the sound of footsteps, echoing off the walls of the mine. The footsteps were getting closer.

Elijah's eyes locked onto hers, and Aria saw a glimmer of fear. "We need to get out of here, now," he whispered.

Aria nodded, her heart racing with fear. They began to run, their footsteps echoing off the walls of the mine. But the sound of their pursuers was getting closer, and Aria knew they couldn't outrun them for much longer.

As they turned a corner, Aria saw a glimmer of light up ahead. It was the exit, and they were almost there. But just as they were about to emerge into the night air, a figure stepped out of the shadows, blocking their way.

Aria's heart skipped a beat as she saw the figure's face, twisted into a snarl. It was one of the rogue wolves, and it was clear that they weren't going to let them leave alive...

The wolf charged, its jaws open wide. Aria felt a surge of fear, but Elijah was there in an instant, his claws outstretched as he defended his sister.

The battle was intense, the two wolves clashing in a flurry of fur and claws. Aria watched in awe as Elijah fought off the rogue wolf, his movements swift and deadly.

But just as it seemed like Elijah had gained the upper hand, another wolf appeared, and another, until Aria and Luna were surrounded.

Aria's heart was racing as she realized that they were trapped. The wolves closed in, their eyes fixed on their prey. And Aria knew that their fate was all but her best friend and her brother were fighting for their lives.
