LEON P.O.V
"If you're going to reject me, can I at least kiss my mate one last time?"
I didn't know how or why that came out the way it did. I just wanted to feel what it's like, the wonderful feeling of being able to kiss your mate.
He couldn't even allow me that, "If we do that, we both know we wont be able to stop ourselves. I know what you're feeling right now, trust me...but eventually the pain will fade, and we will be able to go back to our lives as usual. I suggest you go and mark another as your mate, that should help."
I couldn't take it any more, I knelt down in front of him and took his hands in mine begging, "PLEASE!!!...please, you can't do this to me and my wolf, you cant do this to us. You don't know how long we've been waiting for you to enter our lives...WE need you, please…"
Logan looked at me straight in the eyes for what felt like an eternity, he then sighed as he slowly took out his hands from mine and announced, "I Logan Gale heart, Alpha of the Gale heart pack reject Leon Thorn shade as my mate."
The loud sorrowful howl of my wolf sounded, as it gave way to the great pain we were feeling. It felt like thousands of knife like cuts being made all over my body.
I looked up to Logan who was bearing the same pain as me. I decided that if this was what he wanted, I would grant him his wish as my final task of being his mate.
Ignoring the pain, I stood up, eyes still red rimmed from the emotional torture he put me through.
I looked him in the eyes and said coldly, "I Leon Thorn shade, Alpha of the Thorn shade pack accept the rejection of Logan Gale heart as my mate."
With that I Looked at him one last time, before turning my back and leaving, never turning my back to see his expression.
I went back to my car, Jade was leaning beside the car. Once she saw me, the first thing she registered was how miserable I looked right now. She walked quickly toward me and gave me a tight hug. We didn't need to worry about onlookers because most of the other alphas had left, leaving only a few behind.
After a few minutes of hugging, she finally let me go. She looked at me with those pale green eyes and said, "As we are going back to the pack, you will tell me what on earth happened back there. We will find a way to get you out of whatever you are feeling, then I can get my shithead of a friend back." She said the last part with a small smile.
She lead us back to the car as we both sat down. I wanted to talk I really did, but then the weight of all that had happened today came back all at once, and as I opened my mouth to speak my vision turned black.
When I woke up, my eyes were still heavy from sleep. I tried blinking away the blur in my vision, then I realized that I was in the hospital. It took a few second before all the memories started pouring in. I sat there in silence for a long time, then I tried talking to Raven.
"Raven, Raven… come on, talk to me." but raven was just curled up in a corner unmoving. I tried calling him a few more times, I was about to give up before I heard Raven mutter,
"How...how could our mate reject us like that, we didn't even do anything wrong. We've been waiting for so long Leon, and this is what we get for being faithful."
We were still reeling in from the pain of the rejection, it should take a few weeks for the pain to subside. It will take even longer to heal the emotional scars.
Before we could continue our discussion, someone had entered the room. I turned my head and saw that it was Emily. She looked relieved to see me awake. She walked towards me and sat down on the chair beside my bed.
She looked at me with pity as she said, "I don't know what happened at the regional alpha meeting for you to be like this, but as your beta and most importantly your sister, I need to know the problem so that we can look for a solution."
I looked at her and told her about everything that happened at the meeting, and about what happened with Logan.
When I was done explaining, she had tears in her eyes as she went and hugged me. I wanted to cry, to be angry, to feel something but I couldn't.
After consoling me, she then looked very angry as she started cursing at Logan, "That prick better not show his face around you, if he does I will $%##$%£, then I'll%$&&'@@#…" (A/N: I couldn't think of any proper curses.)
I looked at her as she continued cursing Logan for about one hour relentlessly. When she finally calmed down, I pot on the best smile I could for her as we continued discussing matters related to the pack, it was a way to distract me from the pain.
JADE P.O.V
When I got Leon in the car and we both sat down, I turned my head to ask him about what happened. I found him sleeping on the chair.
I looked at him and I sighed, I then proceeded to shift him to a more comfortable position. After I was sure both me and Leon were comfortable, I leaned forward and told Marcus to drive us back to the pack quickly.
It was a long drive back to the pack. I was worried about Leon, he's usually so calm and collected. The fact that he was behaving like this, meant something was really wrong.
After the two hour drive, we finally arrived at the pack. I turned towards Leon and tapped him to wake him up, when he didn't react I tried tapping harder. When he didn't even react to that, I knew something was wrong.
"Oh shit...Marcus hurry and drive to the hospital, QUICK!!" Marcus gave a yes ma'am and drove to the hospital.
When we got there, I asked Marcus to carry Leon into the hospital. We managed to get a doctor to see him quickly. After waiting for some time, the nurse came and told me to go home and rest before we came back. I agreed and went back home.
As I came back, I rushed to see my mate. When I saw her I flew into her arms, and powdered Emily's face with kisses. After doing that, she calmed down and explained to Emily what happened.
"WHAT!!! and you didn't tell ME!!!!" I smiled sheepishly as she gave me a death glare.
I gave her puppy eyes, "Alright...I'm sorry, how about I go freshen up and we can visit him together."
She looked at me and calmed down, we then went to freshen up together and went to meet Leon.
FIVE HOURS LATER
We both came back to the pack house, Leon didn't come with us because the doctor said he should stay for a few more days.
We were both silent as we came back, Emily filled me in on what happened to Leon. I can't believe that asshole if an Alpha did that to my best friend.
I should have gone with him when that prick asked him to go with him alone.
LOGAN P.O.V
(RIGHT AFTER LEON LEFT)
"WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS!!!" my wolf Levi growled.
"Listen Levi, it's for the best." I tried to reason with him why I did what I did but he wasn't listening.
"PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME WHY THE FUCK YOU WOULD REJECT OUR MATE!!!" He growled even louder.
I sighed as I tried to explain to him, "It's because we're both alphas Levi. It's not even as if he's an omega that can give birth to a successor. Besides, we already have Tina, who will be our Luna-"
"DON'T SAY THAT BITCHES NAME IN MY PRESENCE!!"
"Well you have to live with her for the rest of your life because she's going to be our Luna."
Levi hated Tina, when I was dating her he would either badmouth her or keep mute. He hated her to the point that if I wasn't keeping him in check, he would have mauled her to death already.
After giving him a peace of my mind, I walked back to the car wincing from the pain.
Tina was waiting for me in the car, when she saw me she ran out to hug me. I returned her hug and kissed her on the cheek. As we entered the car and drove back to the pack I heard Levi who was abnormally silent mutter,
"I hope you don't regret this..."
