"Here is the archery grounds where you can practice archery if you want" Annabeth was showing Percy around the camp after he had woken up from last night's ordeal.
"Who's that?" Percy asked while pointing to someone.
Annabeth looked and found who he was asking about.
"That's Silva, he has been in the camp since he came here when he was five years old. Currently he's the strongest in the camp. he has been in camp for almost a decade" Annabeth replied but Percy only listened to some of it as he was preoccupied by the name alone.
"Silva" he muttered as he remembered the name but can't remember from where.
"Come on, lets go" Annabeth said as she began pushing Percy to the next place.
Silva watched Percy move through the camp from the corner of his eye and he also saw Clarisse coming from the other side planning her initiation ceremony on the newbie due to jealousy.
He can't believe that due to having peace for a few years, the demigods started to feel bad about not having monsters to kill. He remembers the time when demigods were feeling pity when one of their own faces a monster. Right now, they feel jealous of them.
They need to get their head out of their ass. Silva thought as he began giving advice to the Apollo kids practicing archery.
At night during Campfire.
Silva sat down next to Percy while handing him a cup of hot chocolate. Percy was startled as he didn't realise Silva was nearby. But he quickly calmed down and accepted the cup.
"Umm, have we ever met before?" Percy finally asked the question that was on his mind since the morning since he saw Silva.
"We met when you were a kid, your mother let me stay at your place for a few weeks" Silva replied.
Percy's eyes widened as the realisation hit, but at the same time remembering his mother brought a wave of sadness as well.
"Don't worry, it will get better" Silva said trying to bring a bit of comfort to the boy as he knew the kid would be facing a lot of trouble this summer.
Capture the flag incident.
Silva knew there will be slight changes, and he can see he was right to thing so. Unlike the cannon when Percy was the only one who had faced a hellhound summoned by Luke, here Silva can detect a dozen of them within the entire forest.
Silva's place in the camp is a bit special, as he was not treated as another camper, but as a supervisor due to his experience and skills. So, when capture the flag goes on, Silva supervises the entire ordeal to make sure that the campers don't go too far and kill each other in the process.
And Silva had the record of having zero deaths ever since he began his supervision using the forest as a way to monitor the entire battlefield.
While analysing the locations, Silva was able to understand what was happening. The Hellhounds were aiming to attack groups of campers at the same time while just a single one of them was aiming at Percy. Right now Percy was in an all time high due to being inside water and was beating down the Aries campers and if he is sensing right, Annabeth is watching nearby.
So, they will be able to handle a single Hellhound. But Silva knew Luke's plan. He intended to make sure Silva and most of the other campers are focussed on the other hellhounds while he will be able to push Percy into revealing his true lineage which in turn will welcome Zeus's wrath and make Percy leave camp for the quests.
Plus, the hellhounds were numerous this time, so there will be casualties and the campers will believe that Percy's existence was the cause of all those deaths.
'That's a nice plan Luke; I might not be able to stop you from making Percy leave camp as he needs to do it if he wants to save his mother. But at the same time, you have another thing coming if you believe you will harm a single camper while I'm alive' Silva thought as he took out the silver bow. The branches of the tree nearby bend downwards while changing themselves to form arrows.
Another fact about the bow Silva manged to find. As long as you inject a bit of stamina into it, any arrow shot by it will have the properties similar to that of celestial bronze. Though it will get useless after hitting one target.
But in a world where monsters are deathly allergic to this metal, one strike is more than enough as long as you know how to use your weapon in the right manner.
And for hellhounds, their heads are fair game.
'All right, there is a total of twelve hellhounds aiming at all the campers. Some of them have been found by the campers, but the fight had not started yet. So, I need to take care of all of them within the next ten seconds.' Silva concentrated.
'Thankfully I only need five'
First second.
Silva channelled the powers he had in the forests to the fullest extent to look for the Hellhounds. And was able to accurately find out the locations as well as where their heads are going to be.
Second second
Silva had managed to convert the branches into arrows and pulled them out one by one.
Third second.
Twelve targets, four shots fired in the third second.
Fourth second.
The next four arrows fired.
Fifth second
Normally by now a normal archer would have felt the pain from their muscles due to using them at such intensity in a short amount of time. But for Silva who was absorbing energy from the forest, he was feeling just as energised as he was when he fired the first arrow. The last four arrows were also shot without any sort of breaks in between.
Silva put the bow down as all around the camp, the same thing happened. The campers who were bracing for a deathly battle with a dangerous foe saw a silver arrow ending the hellhound who were said to have sent hundreds of demigods to their death.
They all knew who shot that arrow. They all knew about the silver haired archer that protected all the campers every single time. And as the campers came together and compared the timing in which the monsters were killed, they all came to a realisation about the power hidden by their protector.
A/N- hope you like it.
