Percy and Annabeth were resting after running from the mechanical spider robots that were trying to kill them. Percy looked at the side and saw that Grover had fallen asleep.
"Hey, you alright" Percy asked Annabeth as he saw her getting pale with fear due to the spiders that had attacked them.
"Yeah,, I'm okay" Annabeth replied in a shaky breath "Its just, children of Athena are not good with spiders"
"Because of Arachne right" Percy replied as even he knew the story about that Greek incident.
They sat in silence for some time as they heard Grover snore in his sleep due to being tired.
"Hey Seaweed brain" Annabeth started.
"Yeah"
"You remember what Luke said about the Athena cabin choosing Zeus's side in the war" Annabeth asked.
"Yeah, I know. Don't worry, you can fight on your mother's sid-"
"I am going to fight on yours" Annabeth immediately interrupted what Percy was about to say.
Percy realised what Annbeth was trying to say.
"But-" he tried to stop her but was interrupted.
"Stop, at the end its my choice. I know for a fact that you are falsely accused of stealing and you are my friend. So, when the time comes, I will be on your side" Annabeth said as she blushed a little at the end.
Percy too felt the heat rise up from his face as he listened to what Annabeth said. So, he immediately tried to change the subject.
"Well, do you remember what Luke said about the clashes in the camp being stopped by Silva" Percy said which made Annabeth think about that matter.
"I did. I knew that he was strong, but I never knew that he was strong enough to stop the entire camp all on his own" Annabeth muttered as he thought about her friend. She had been in the camp for many years with Luke and the only other person who had been in that camp for that long was Silva.
"I remember seeing him when I was a child. That day I saw a guy with one eye looking at me angrily and my mom had pulled me away saying that I didn't see it correctly. And later that day Silva started living in my house for a few weeks." Percy reminisced.
"He must have killed that cyclops at the time. Maybe your mom knew about it and must have let him stay with you for some time after that" Annabeth inferred from the information and Percy nodded.
"There is another thing too. My stepfather, Gabe" Percy paused "He was not much of a good person, or more accurately he can be described as a human trash"
Annabeth chuckled at that as Percy continued.
"But after Silva came, he just stopped doing being any sort of jerk at all actually and to me it seemed like Gabe had become a puppet of some sort that just listens to what you say without complaining" Percy said.
"Percy how bad was Gabe actually?" Annabeth asked.
Percy paused as he thought about the perfect comparison.
"Trash bag made out of filth which only has even more smelly filth inside. He had no hygiene and had made sure to make the entire place smelly. Even later he did the same thing though he stopped being a jerk actually"
Annabeth's eyes softened as she realised what Percy's mom did and she explained everything to him.
"I..I didn't realise she did that much for me" Percy remembered Grover saying that his mom was really smart about covering him from monsters. But he didn't tell him how. Percy now realised how much his mother had sacrificed for him before Silva came and even if Silva reduced the difficulty by helping her manipulate the mist, it still must have been way too difficult for her to suffer for his sake.
"Come on, lets finish the quest and save her" Percy said as he saw Ares waiting at the distance for them.

"I am trying my best my lord, but he can't be stopped by any way. He's strong and not one of the artifact you send me has worked in any way" Luke said to Kronos who appeared in his dreams.
"Fool!!!, the artifact contains the blood collected from every worthwhile demigod in existence. If you still had not found the artifact recognising him, that means his origin might not be of a Greek god at all"
"What do you mean master?" Luke asked.
"His bloodline is without a doubt a powerful one, so his parent must be strong as well. And if any of the twelve Olympian blood does not resonate with him, that means he might be of another origin altogether" Kronos said as he knew about the roman side of the demigods of Greek.
"What should I do master?" Luke asked.
"Athena, use her, attract the attention of her roman side. I will send you information about it. As long as Athena recognises him as a demigod from the other side, her wrath would fall upon him from which he will not escape unscathed.
And at that moment, you can make him come to our side using the oaths. If he does, we can use him on the other side and if he does not, we can use Athena's hatred of the romans to wipe him out of existence itself"
Luke was not able to completely comprehend what Kronos said but he knew it will help him remove Silva entirely from his plans for the future.
'Whatever it takes to get my revenge. The Gods will pay for what they are doing to us' Luke thought as he decided to decisively kill off one of his friends for his aims.

Athena's brows furrowed as she felt the message appear in front of her. It was a dangerous time as the war between gods was about to begin soon. She knew any communication that appeared at this moment might be a trap by the enemy and must not even be entertained.
But the way the message spend was special as it used an old method known to her children. She knew all who knew about this method was dead, but she still decided to look at it.
As she read the message, her eyes widened in anger.
"Roman Spy!!" She seethed.

At the same time in the middle of the forests, the hunters were taking a bit of rest from their hunts.
Suddenly Artemis sprang up. Even though her brother was the god of Prophesies, she still had a bit of dominion over it. She sensed what Athena was about to do.
"I will be out for some time" Artemis told her hunters as she immediately vanished.
