I looked as the screen infront of me disappeared, I continued running, It's not time to wait now, checking behind me, I saw people getting crushed and suffocated under the thick layer of dust and the walls that fell down, wires and pipes were all going down together.
"H-help!"

The further I go, the more injured people I see. Blood staining onto the dusty furniture that had fallen. I have to take care of Chin-hae… I don't want the both of us ending up like that.

We stopped, breathing quickly, I looked behind me where I was standing. He sure is quick…
Thwack! Thwack!
The beast continued beating down the building, it was hard to breath under these conditions, I can't focus…
There must be a plot twist right? There's no way the only way to escape is to run. I looked around, trying to find a loophole.
We continued running, it wasn't the best solution at the moment but it's the only choice we had. After a while it got tiring, Chin-hae was running out of stamina, but, me, I was sweating like crazy and my legs felt numb. Damn it, if I knew this day would come, I would've went to the gym to exercise more…
"Gyungho-ssi, look over there."
What the hell is with this kid? He was pointing up at the sky. I kept on running, looking at where he was pointing, trying to figure out what he was looking at.
Suddenly, something caught my eye, where Chin-hae was pointing at had a weird crack, dust spewing out from the small void.
"Chin-hae…"
I looked over to confirm if I was seeing it correctly. He nodded to my surprise. Maybe if I can take that down…somehow.
「Skill activated: All-seeing-eye activated!」
A sudden outburst of energy ran through my body, my vision felt as if it got 10 times better. I looked over to Chin-hae.
"Chin-hae, I got a plan."
"What is it?"
It would be better if I could have him to help but I doubt it'll work…
"You can't get involved in this one, reach shelter as quickly as you can."
If the risks were high, I'd rather do it myself.
"Gyun—"
Before Chin-hae could answer me, I ran backwards where we first started, running through the collapsing mess, reaching as close as I can to the hole.
"Gyungho!"
He screamed, looking as my figure slowly disappears into the thick dust. All he could do now is continue running.
Chin-hae you genius… I climbed on to one of the pieces of the building, one after another, reaching as close as I can to the void. Finally, let's see how useful this skill really is…
I took a deep breath and jumped from the platform right as it was falling apart, looking at the hole. As I fell down, information filled my head, my mind reading the texts, comparing the images… Got it.
All I had to do now was to close up the gap. Is this really worth it? I looked down, the worried people running for their lives, screams from the ones who are still alive and cries from the ones that lost their families, the bloody mess of the poor souls who had fallen.
There's still a lot of injured people… If I can save them, I would do it. But what do I use to seal it up with…
Ah, I almost forgot.
As I was deep in my thoughts, I looked behind me to see the giant rabbit-like creature, seems like it saw me too. Surely it won't attack me, right?
Thwack!
"Urgh!"
The damned creature swung it's arm, breaking a building in half and dragging me down with the collapsing mess.
I fell back on to the ground. I thought I was surely dead falling from the height, or at least from that swing. Death skipped me this time but he gave me a warning, I looked at my arm that was bruising and filled with scratches, deep injuries from the fall.
I let out a groan, trying to hold myself back from screaming. That sure does hurts… looking up, there was a piece of a building coming my way.
"Shit… aargh!"
This pain… Why was I acting like such a hero? I'm not the main character now am I?
Whatever, I can deal with this later. There's a lot of lives that were waiting for me. I dragged myself to somewhere safer, ripping my shirt off and tying it around my wounded arm before standing up, limping closer the monster's area.
Thwack! Boom!
Things continued getting messier. I ran as quick as I can, hiding in different spots to not get caught. I can feel the monster growing angrier as the time passed. I checked the time, I only have 20 minutes left. I have to think of something. I tried my best and stayed focus.
As the deadline came closer, I can feel loud footsteps coming from the monster. Crap, it switched targets...
"Aah!"
Screams overlapping each other. I can't do this… It's making me nauseous. But it's not like I can stay here and do nothing either, who could ever predict the next person to leave this world?
Looking up, I can see the monster still looking for me, if I took one more hit, I'm more than sure that I'd be dead.
Then the idea hit me, harder than that swing the rabbit creature gave me for sure. What was it called again? I tried to keep myself calm and think of the name.
Maybe this one? I cleared my mind, focusing on the name.
「Opening the universal store. . .」
「Universal store opened!」
I scrolled through as quickly as I could, my time was running out, come on… Any useful looking item?
Thwack! Uwaaa!!
The creature was now targeting me. Aside from scrolling through all these useless items, I had to dodge all of the attacks.
This is so tiring...
After what seemed like a forever game of tag with the rabbit-like beast, I was able to distract it and found a hiding spot.
Now that I got more time, I read through the description of the items I left in the shopping cart. I sighed, not only was I poor before all of these events happened, but, even when the money currency changed and the world came to a new era, I didn't change. I was still the same ol' poor guy...
"Something cheap and useful please..."
Then it caught my eye.

I guess this will work for now… after purchasing, I took out the tear droplets. They were like clear crystals, so pretty…
I broke one of them open to reveal the inside, the useful parts, giving them one last glance, I used all the energy I had left, I threw them, aiming right at the dark void.
The tears started to expand inside the hole, filling up the dust and energy it was spewing. As the dust began to thin, the rabbit-like creature turned around, seems like it saw me or felt the dust thinning at leaast. It dropped everything it was destroying, running towards the hole. So this is it's weakness.
The creature let out a loud cry as it's body start to disisinergrate, it's arm still reaching for the void, trying to break the layer of tears I used.
I looked around before letting out a sigh of relief. It was all over. The rabbit was now nothing more than a mount of dust and the hole was completely gone.
I lied down on to the ground, exhausted and sick of this, how did any of this happen anyways?! I swear a second ago I was just talking to Chin-hae.
Somehow, all of this gives me an odd feeling of deja vu, it feels like I've heard about something like this before, somewhere.
"Amazing… never in my wildest dreams would I imagine of someone doing this."
I looked over, above me was a dokkaebi. I immediately sat up, did I do something wrong? This day couldn't get any worse could it?
"You closed up my coding system, cancelling the monster's data and interfered with the game. You're an interesting human."
It stopped for a second before continuing.
"You all were supposed to help each other surround the creature and end it's life or everyone had to manage getting to a safe zone."
Ah yes, teamwork was listed in the set of rules. Wait, why is it talking to me anyways?! I began to speak.
"It's none of your business how I play the game."
I stopped for a bit, laying back down. What was I thinking?! I'm acting so calm but knowing the possibility of my head explodes like a bomb was enough to frighten someone!
"If that's what you want, human."
The light around it flickered, the dokkaebi is now in the middle of the crowd. The cheeky bastard began to talk.
"Congratulations to you, actors! You've successfully finished the first game. I hope you'll have fun in the next games as well."
"As for now, don't go too far from here, I'll be preparing your next game. Hwahahahahaha!"
We looked up at the creature that's staring down at us. We all have to accept this new reality now. Ranking no longer matter, among humans at least, of course.
