Chapter 13 - Revenge Wears A Pretty Face

Chapter 13: Revenge Wears a Pretty Face

Laughter like sunlight,

Hands held like promises,

Secrets shared in whispers,

Hearts beating as one.

They were perfect,

Unbreakable,

Until shadows found a way in.

The six of them were inseparable.

Johnson and Clara laughed until their stomachs ached, teasing each other over the smallest things. Nelson and Liona whispered dreams under the shade of a giant tree, sharing secrets no one else could understand. Peter and Sonia held hands during quiet walks, their fingers entwined as if the world existed only for them.

Life felt perfect. Bright, safe, unshakable. They believed nothing could ever come between them.

But perfect things often hide cracks beneath the surface.

Two months later, on a scorching afternoon, Jayson sat alone at a crowded café, his eyes dark with fury and a hunger that refused to be tamed. Pride had been stripped from him, and all that remained was a single, burning thought: revenge.

Then they appeared — three girls moving with dangerous confidence: Nina, Criselda, and Cresanta. Their heels clicked sharply on the pavement, each step a warning.

"Jayson?" Nina's voice was soft, almost sweet, but her eyes were sharp, calculating.

He frowned. "What do you want? Come to laugh at me like everyone else?"

Cresanta leaned forward, her smile icy. "No. We're here to help you destroy them."

"Destroy… who?" Jayson's jaw tightened.

"All of them," Criselda said. "Johnson, Nelson, Peter… and their perfect little girls. They think they're untouchable. We're going to show them how fragile they really are."

Chaos began to spin like a storm.

Johnson and Clara.

Nina faked messages, screenshots, and pictures claiming Johnson had loved her first — and maybe still did. Clara's heart cracked the moment she saw them.

"Johnson… how could you lie to me?" she whispered.

"I… I never—" he started, but the words sounded hollow. She turned away, her trust poisoned before he could explain.

Nelson and Liona.

Criselda stole Nelson's phone, changing the wallpaper to her own face. Then she casually told Liona, "You should check his phone… he still keeps me in his heart."

Liona laughed at first, thinking it was a joke. But when she looked… Criselda's face stared back. Doubt settled in her chest like a stone.

Peter and Sonia.

Cresanta sent Sonia a video, edited to show Peter kissing someone else. Sonia's hands shook as she watched.

"No… he wouldn't—"

But the screen told a different story.

Bit by bit, whispers replaced laughter, suspicion replaced trust. The six who had once been inseparable began to fracture. Every glance carried doubt. Every word hid suspicion.

From the shadows, Jayson watched. A slow, satisfied smile spread across his face.

"They thought I was finished," he murmured. "But this… this is only the beginning."

The seeds of betrayal were planted. The perfect six were about to fall.
