Sirius arrives to where Thea is, and he sees the decimation, the aftermath of Thea's and the Usurper's fight.
Smoke rises from the ground, the heat becomes unbearable around the area, like walking in a sauna with maximum heat.
Sirius nevertheless walks in the area, he looks around with his sword in hand, making sure he's ready even if he is ambushed by the Usurper.
"Sirius..!"
A rough voice escapes from somewhere to his left, Sirius whips his head and sees Thea stumbling, scratches, dents, and burns apparent on her armor. Her hair a mess, her body trembling, most likely from overuse.
Her arms are linked around Luna and Anna's shoulder as they act as a crutch.
"Thea?! You okay?!"
Sirius shouts, quickly running towards her.
"Yeah! I'm okay..! Let's run away, quick! The Usurper is not dead yet!"
Thea shouts with a strained voice, urging Sirius to hurry as he nods. He was about to walk up to her and carry her on his back, but...
A loud piercing noise reverberates, a reminiscent of what Sirius heard.
His head snaps towards the source of the noise, instantly forming barriers upon barriers from his mana.
Three durable blue glassy walls form in front of him, and the light beam shatters through the third, the second, and the last wall as it shoots towards Sirius who covers his face and chest.
The beam, weakened from the three barriers that lessened its power blast towards Sirius, dust rise from the impact as Sirius slides back a few steps from the force.
But he stands, unwavered.
Sirius clears out the dust as he released the stored mana from [Supernova's Crown] earlier, allowing a small wave of energy burst to clear out the dust.
Sirius looks back to Thea and the others, nudging towards where he came from.
"Yuki and the others will soon come over, make up an escape plan and I'll follow after you all."
"Boss! Target its left elbow! It's one of its weak spot!"
Anna shouts as Sirius nods, his mind already conjuring up ideas on how to take care of the oversized bat.
Though, he's not sure whether or not would he be able to kill it. He's sure that he can hold his own against it.
Sirius dashes across the ruined terrain, the [Lightbringer] climbs onto a roof, looking down at Sirius before letting a screech and a light beam.
Sirius dodges to the side, narrowly dodging the light beam as he closes in to the oversized bat.
It takes the initiative, not wanting to let Sirius have the upper hand and make it into the defensive as it jumps and crashes down, its feet landing on where Sirius was.
Sirius dodges to the side, and as quick as Sirius dodged, the [Lightbringer] throws itself to Sirius, body slamming to the ground where Sirius is at.
Its body glows, and when it landed, Sirius had already rolled to the side.
But still, a shockwave booms, sending a heat wave around it as Sirius is thrown back a bit like a ragdoll. He quickly stabs his sword to the ground before holding tight onto it.
The heat burns him slightly, his body heating up already inside from the scorch wave.
Sirius pant in annoyance as he quickly form powerful chains around the bat's neck as it screech upon feeling the chains.
The chains lock around the neck, and Sirius wills the chains to tighten itself around the neck as it brought the beast down to the ground, slamming the neck and jaw.
Sirius could already feel his mana draining from having to power his chains and keep it from breaking.
So, Sirius dashes forward, aiming his sword to the Usurper's elbow, and Sirius' sword strikes true, latching onto the elbow. Unfortunately it doesn't cut quite deep enough to injure the muscles and nerves.
In return, Sirius simply summon blue swords that hovers behind him before those swords rain down onto the elbow like arrows from an army of archers.
Blood finally spurts like a fountain, black blood spraying all over Sirius' face as his face twists in disgust.
[Lightbringer] screech in pain, it snaps its head towards Sirius and it roars maddeningly at him.
Disgusting drools shoot towards him as Sirius' face crunch from the smell and the drool.
'Disgusting trash!'
Sirius was about to dash towards the bat but stopped himself, after all, that bat can release a powerful light beam from its mouth.
Sirius' mind flashed as he remembers the attack that he had been learning.
Bringing up his left hand, he flicks his index finger up while the rest closes.
Slowly, mana starts accumulating on top of his index finger.
A small visible dot starts to form, it grows bigger and bigger and bigger as Sirius supplies more mana from his Soul.
The [Lightbringer] notice the accumulating mana growing more dense, evident from the enlarging blue sphere.
At first, it was a miniscule energy, nothing to be scared of. But then… it grew.
The sphere that was merely a small dot now become the size of a basketball. It is paramount to be noted that the sphere was not all about the size, the inside isn't empty, no. It was filled with dense stellar energy.
Quickly, the [Lightbringer] grows agitated.
That ball of stellar energy was enough to make it feel threatened. It quickly opens it mouth wide and shoots out bullets of light beams.
Sirius' eyes widen as he quickly dodge while he force his mind to focus on supplying more mana to the deadly sphere.
As he did so, his dodges were bad, though he managed to dodge some, some of the bullets still ended up landing on his body.
Sirius winced, the blunt force of the bullets hits him like a car slamming against him.
Sirius laughed, looking at [Lightbringer] with a smirk on his face, raising his left hand above his head with a victorious smirk.
The sphere had grown big, the size of it a rough size of 37 inches in diameter, like an exercise ball.
Sirius slowly compress the sphere, staying still while letting the [Lightbringer] attack him. Blasting him with bullets of light beams.
He dodges the ones that aimed for his head vitals, though, some of the beams managed to scratch his cheeks, leaving a slight disgusting burn on his face.
But he paid it no mind.
He couldn't afford to lose focus, not when he's at this point.
He could feel his mana tank in his Soul drained of its mana, leaving only enough to try and maintain the chains.
'Having Cassian here would've made this easier…'
Sirius thought to himself before letting those thoughts slip away. There was no time for unnecessary thoughts.
All he needs to focus on is moving his body around slightly and make sure those light beams never hit his vitals or head that would knock the wind out of him, or kill him outright.
The sphere shakes violently, and the sphere that was the size of a huge exercise ball is now back to the size of a basketball.
'This should be enough!'
Then, Sirius starts to spin it.
Sirius watch as the chains creak, groaning and cracking. It was obvious that the chains are about to break.
[Lightbringer] couldn't even fly or flap its wings due to its elbows being cut, the muscles and nerves that allowed it to control the wings to fly slashed.
It rose weakly and slowly, groaning as it lets out a cry.
Sirius' ears bleed, his head ringing in pain as his mouth parted open in pain.
But, his focus doesn't waver, he could not have this sphere explode right in front of him or go off to early.
The chains make a sickening break, the sound of cracks echo through the battlefield as the [Lightbringer] doesn't waste any time and uncannily stands on its two foot.
It walks, attempting to run, its arms and wings hung low, [Lightbringer] couldn't bring those things up or move them even if it wants to.
[Lightbringer] open its mouth wide, mana surging through the atmosphere as Sirius could see the insides of the bat's mouth glowing white-yellow.
The atmosphere feels hot, Sirius could feel it from afar. That beam in its mouth will kill him if he lets it hit him.
But…
The compressed sphere spins fast, rotating so fast it generates a slight breeze that flutters Sirius' hair that reached his nape backwards.
A smile cracks his lips as he looks at [Lightbringer] tilting its head back a bit before throwing it to the front, blasting a light beam the shape of a spear towards Sirius. Sirius could feel
The blast cuts through the wind, and Sirius simply smiles before pointing the spinning compressed sphere at the path of the beam.
The compressed sphere takes off, blasting from his index finger with incredible speed as the force catapults his hand away.
The sphere blast through the light beam, the light beam appear to dissipate, blast through by the compressed sphere.
The raging spinning ball lands, hitting squarely on the bat's left ribs.
A hole found itself on the [Lightbringer]'s ribs.
Then—
BOOM
A powerful explosion echoes, thundering throughout the battlefield.
