Thea crouches down on a rooftop, looking down at the masses of bats.
Their numbers have dwindled, due to the war that didn't even bring any profits for them.
One of the reasons why was the two girls and one boy standing on the rooftop, now aiming to end their lives.
They had scouted their routine for the past hour, though they will confirm it tomorrow if their routine is the same as the one today.
Thea lets out a sigh before looking at Luna who is staring at the bats as if they will escape if she lets them off her sight.
"Calm down Luna, no need to stare that hard. Plus there's Adam watching them in detail."
Thea lets out a smile, looking at Adam who is watching over the bats while taking mental notes.
Luna tilts her head towards Thea before nodding as Thea smiles before taking a step and patting her head.
"When we get back, I'll be busy training again... maybe go for a group hunt. I'll also ask for dad's permission to go for an Abyss expedition."
Thea says as she rest her arms on the railings of the rooftop, looking down at the desolate city.
"How about you? What do you want to do later?"
"... I..."
Luna looks at the city too, following Thea's line of sight.
While Thea smiles upon hearing her hesitation.
"Mm... do you want to try playing music?"
"Hm?"
Luna looks at Thea with surprise, but she simply smiles before continuing.
"I heard that Yuki can play an instrument, I want to try learning it too in my free time, wanna ask him together?"
"Huh..? Um... sure I guess."
Though she sounded hesitant, Thea could already see a smile forming on Luna's face as she agrees with the idea.
"Luna..."
Thea turns to Luna as she tilts her head upon hearing Thea's words.
"What is i- hmh?!-"
Luna yelps in surprise, feeling Thea's palms squeezing her cheeks as they puffed. Luna looks like a hamster with nuts in her mouth.
"You're so cute you know that? I really want to adopt you and make you my sister you know that? Why do you reject me? Big sis is feeling all sad now remembering that."
Luna looks at Thea with wide eyes and sweat running down her forehead.
"U-Um... no... it's just..."
Luna lets out a sigh before smiling at Luna.
"I mean... I feel... awkward? No... I mean... I'm happy that you want to go so far for me. But... I... I don't feel like it's okay for me to be your adopted sister... I just... feel like I don't deserve it."
Thea blinks for a few times, before nodding.
"So you just want to be friends with me instead?"
Luna nods while letting Thea puff her cheeks.
"Mm... okay~"
Letting go, Thea then looks at the group of bats that separated itself from the crowds, flying somewhere else.
Thea looks at Adam before asking.
"Adam, do you think we should kill them all in a single day or separate them into groups each day until the final group?"
Adam looks at Thea, his head already thinking of what to do as he nods.
"I think we should separate them into groups and slowly kill them all instead of going for a one full sweep."
Thea nods before looking back to the hotel where they resided.
"Let's go back for now, we got all we need I think."
The two of them nods upon hearing Thea's words as they journey back.
The journey back to the hotel didn't take too long, aside from keeping Luna's Rune active and avoiding any sign of lifeforms, it was an easy journey with no hiccups.
Upon arriving the base, they see Anna sitting on top of Chad's back as he do a set push up for who knows how long.
"Ah, ladyboss! Sup!"
Anna salutes upon seeing Thea's appearance with the two as Chad follows.
"Sup... leader!"
Chad lets out a groan as he pushes himself up one last time before lowering down to the floor as he lets out a groan, laying down, satisfied.
"Good work muscleboy."
Anna slaps Chad's bicep as he simply groan into the floor, face down against the floor.
"How was the scout Thea?"
Yuki asks, approaching the three of them as Thea shrugs before looking at Luna.
"How was it Luna? Can you tell him? I need to find Sol, I miss her already."
Yuki looks at Thea with a sigh, his hand covering his face as he looks at her with a face that says "really?".
Thea simply grins, before looking around.
"Where is she anyway? Sirius is missing too."
"Oh, they're out for a walk or something. Heard that they won't take too long..."
Anna ruffles the back of her head as she looks around mindlessly.
Thea looks at Adam, and he understood instantly.
If Sirius is the human beacon, Adam is the human radar.
Using his Rune, Adam quickly locates Sol and Sirius' location.
"Oh, they're close."
Thea raises her brows before asking.
"Where?"
"They're still here... somewhere down I guess?"
Thea's eyes widens.
'Is she... by the pool?'
Sol had found her that night, when Thea was training by herself.
As expected of her understanding little sister, she lets her continue training until she was exhausted.
She accompanied her for some time until she decided to go sleep, leaving Thea alone back on the pool.
'She must've invited Sirius over to the pool then... but why? Couldn't she just talk or something back on the rooftop? Why is she taking him somewhere alone?'
Her mind raced, but upon noticing her own thoughts, Thea stops herself.
'... What am I thinking.'
Thea lets out a sigh before turning around to the others.
"Hey, wanna meet up with Sol and Sirius? I think I know where they are."
Thea ask the others, and they look at each other before looking back to Thea.
"But uh... ladyboss, aren't they off talking something or maybe doing something private to them? Shouldn't we just leave them?"
"Ah. Um..."
Thea stops herself, realizing what she was doing.
'... What am I doing..?'
She shakes her head before coughing.
"I mean first of all... we don't know if they might be in danger or something... second of all, the place where they had gone off to is somewhere fun. I mean, they're leaving us out of the fun you know? It's a pool area with an outdoor view, sounds cool right? I had been there before and Sol found me."
Adam looks at Thea suspiciously as he listens to her explanation before sighing.
'Not my problem.'
He thought to himself as he watch the others slowly nod, it seems that they want to go down.
"Sure I guess, a pool? Sounds fun."
Anna grins before walking up to Thea and past her as she goes down the emergency stairs.
"You all better catch up! Last person to go down the pool will be drowned in the pool!"
"What?!"
Chad shouts, surprised.
He drags his body, but his body feels heavy as he grunts.
Yuki looks at him pitifully before chuckling like a madman.
Luna looks at Yuki with surprise as Chad growls.
"F..."
Luna, Yuki, and Thea start walking down the stairs, leaving Adam and Chad alone as Adam looks at Chad with a smirk.
Wordless, Adam grabs Chad and place his hand around his own shoulder as he stands up.
"Sh*t... you're heavy."
Chad simply chuckles as he soon mutters.
"Thanks Adam. Doing leg exercises got my legs weak... You know what Anna did to make it worse for me? Remember that injury from back then that hurt my ribs that Sol still can't heal up?"
"That... don't tell me she punched you there?"
"Well, she's not that much of a bastard, poked me there though."
"Ouch."
"Then she ordered Yuki to sit on top of my back while I plank, and Anna too."
"Why does she hate you?"
"I don't know."
Adam chuckles as Chad laughs too as they walk down the stairs.
