The rest of them moved after Yuki sat on the swing for a minute or so, with Luna pushing the swing for him. Admittedly, she swung too much with questionable force and made Yuki a bit terrified of his life.
Not that he's ever gonna tell her that.
Walking towards the base that Adam had marked, they reach the place without any hindrance or problem with the help of Luna's Rune.
The place that they have made their base is near the [Rock Bull]'s nest.
Not only is it closer to the border of the city, it seems to be the second strongest with the [Light Bats] being the last one.
Also, the [Rock Bull] seem to be less sensitive to the mana and have a weak perception. While the [Light Bats] appear to be the most perceptive ones out of the three.
After all, Luna could feel how much did it drain her mana attracting their presence to their body, keeping her and the others "invisible" to the outside world.
The eight of them explores the base, looking around and resting up. The base is a simple building that has a second floor, while on the floor it seemed like it was a place for displaying clothes and such.
Perhaps it was an outlet.
Sirius meanwhile looks outside, taking in the sight of the towering buildings. A sharp flash of sting sears his head, his vision glitching as a flash of a city burning with Calamities killing humans left and right.
That short vision left him as quick as it had come, leaving his heart and head aching.
He lets out a shaky sigh, looking back to the ravaged city.
The only good thing that came with the Apocalypse was the power for him to protect his family when those Calamities dared to try to kill his family.
Otherwise, he would curse this whole world and whatever brought the damned Calamities to Earth.
His eyes continue to gaze around, until they landed on something that shook him.
Adam also seemed to notice it too, his sensitivity over mana and presence heightened over the usages of his Rune.
Adam quickly walks up to Sirius and also notice his grim look.
"What's out there, Sirius?"
"... We need to run."
Their short respite had to end, because after all...
A swarm of [Rock Bulls] forms a wall in front of their territory with their bodies. Each of them huffing and looking to the front.
The earth groans, loud steps reverberates through the street.
Cracks could be heard, a dense presence, a powerful aura press down on the earth.
The aura ignites a fire in each of the [Rock Bulls] as they let out a roar.
Behind them, small armies of what looks like trolls the size of a human child could be seen, growling and ready for bloodshed.
On each of their hands, a club made of rock is held, the tip blunt, but the sides jagged, spiky, acting as both a sharp force and blunt force if it ever connects.
Though, what unnerved Sirius and Adam the most was the humongous legs that stand behind those armies.
Sirius and Adam looks at them, before their gaze finally settles over the towering creature.
Carved rocks cover its body, no, embedded itself upon its body.
The titanic body moves easily despite the heavy rocks that covered its body and the joints, as if there are no restrictions on its body.
Four horns protrude from its head, two for each sides.
Its muzzle protrudes, while sharp fangs that Sirius is sure would be able to penetrate anything points up to the sky and down to the ground.
It lets out a loud roar, the titanic minotaur brimming with strength and vitality, ready to destroy anything in its path.
The street underneath its legs transforms to rocks, the buildings surrounding it too, penetrated into the brown coloured rocks.
As if being sculpted by a sculptor, the once tall buildings turn into spikes that protrude to the heavens, as if aiming to tear the kingdom sky apart.
But luckily, those rock transforming area doesn't reach Sirius' base, only focusing around the minotaur itself, to the front, and behind it, most likely its base.
It takes on a defensive stance, as an axe shaped by the rocks underneath comes to life right next to its hand, before it stays there, waiting.
Sirius and Adam looks back to the others, who are ready and in action, they seem to have heard that ear-splitting roar too.
"A minotaur Usurper with armies of [Rock Bulls] and trolls. They seem to be on the defensive, waiting for something."
Sirius explains, before shaking his head.
"But we shouldn't be here to watch anyway, let's go."
Everybody nods as they sneakily walk out of the base with the help of Luna's Rune.
Loud pant hoots echo from the other side, the [Furious Apes] crawl and swing all over the buildings, appearing one by one as they slowly fills up the street.
Even though unarmed, their fists and legs crushes anything it grips on, turning their bodies into weapons.
Their eyes are a plethora of madness, eager to satiate their lust for blood and battle.
But then, a loud crash echoes, followed with another and another, before a black blur flies up to the sky as though it is a mortar.
The sun shines behind its back, shadowing its figure before it lands with a loud crash onto the street.
A loud boom reverberates, clouds of dust rises from the crater it made just by landing.
A gust of powerful wind cuts the dust in half, before splitting it apart and push them aside. The wave itself was powerful enough to shatter any windows still standing as the figure slowly reveals itself through the thick dust.
Black furs flowing, breezing through the wind.
The vague shape of a club is on its back, tied to chains that slings around its body.
It wore an armor made of skulls, a chesplate of skulls cover its chest for protection, a half-helmet that protects its skull, and skull armor for each of its limbs.
Saliva drips down from its lips, red eyes gleaming as the powerful gorilla fully reveals itself.
It stands tall, a giant, a titan.
A mutation of a gorilla.
It then lets out a loud roar.
The roar echoes, bones quiver, hearts thump, fire igniting in the apes' hearts as they let out a cacophony of hoots.
The roar was powerful, as a wave of wind explodes from the owner of the roar.
Windows shatter, walls cracking, ground tearing and exploding from the force of the wind as it collides with the [Rock Bulls] and the rocky territory.
Some of the [Rock Bulls] gets thrown back, their rock armors shattering as they get flung back.
But they survived, albeit their rock armors now weak.
The minotaur lets out a huff, teeth gnashing as it lets out a wild roar, head shaking, drool flying.
The gorilla punch its own chest a few times, as though it is playing a drum.
A drum signaling the start of a war.
The gorilla grabs hold its club, pointing at the minotaur and its army.
Surprisingly, a second later, [Light Bats] shrieks as they suddenly emerge from behind the packs the apes and the gorilla, flying towards the bulls and trolls.
The gorilla also starts to run, crawling on its legs and arms as it lets out roars.
The minotaur and its armies moved, rocks forming with each of its step.
Wind picks up from the gorilla's side, enhancing the speed of the apes and the bats as it does to itself too.
With a roar, the gorilla jumps, flying up to the sky as it holds the club with the both of its hands.
The minotaur leans to the right, its waist turning slightly to the right, ready to swing upward to deal a powerful blow.
It takes a step with its left leg and whips its body, bringing the humongous powerful axe towards the gorilla as it roars and bring down its club.
BOOM
