After Wu Haoran left, Bai Yue decided to visit Wu Yang again. She thought it'd be best to have a proper conversation with him regarding the incident.
She hoped to clear up any lingering feelings and make sure that Wu Yang would refrain from ever thinking such thoughts again. She would also tell him about the rare pill that her husband would buy for him. Surely, that news would make him cheer up.
When she stepped out of her room and walked along the hallways, a man dressed in a blue robe and holding a fan approached her.
"Saozi, why do you seem to be in such a rush? Going to see Wu Yang?" He asked, giving her a warm smile. Although his eyes held a hint of desire when he looked upon her figure.

Bai Yue glanced at him with a complicated look. He was Wu Haoran's younger brother, Wu Jian. He had just come back from a trip today. So, she hadn't expected him to meet her here. Especially since she was still troubled by what had happened between them while Wu Haoran was away.
One might not know it from looking at his appearance, but he had a womanizer side to his character. He would chase after every pretty maiden he laid his eyes on. He even used his handsome face and charming demeanor to bed women from all sorts of backgrounds.
Of course, Bai Yue had not succumbed to his tricks. However, her relationship with him was complicated.
After all, Wu Jian had been trying to charm her for a long time. Even before Wu Haoran married her, he was always coming on to her, inviting her over for a meal or drinks, and trying to win her affection.
But she had fallen in love with her husband, which made things difficult for Wu Jian. Yet, some time ago while Wu Haoran was away on business, things had gotten a little complicated between them.
It was because Wu Jian broke into her room in the middle of the night and tried to force himself on her.
Though he didn't even get to touch her, as she easily overpowered him and threw him out of her room with a single kick.
The next day, Wu Jian came to her, apologized wholeheartedly, and begged her forgiveness. He told her he was drunk and that his behavior was completely out of line.
Since then, their relationship had become uncomfortable. Whenever they met, Bai Yue could not help but feel wary of him.
Nevertheless, she couldn't avoid him forever. They lived under the same roof, after all. So when he addressed her, she answered politely, her tone devoid of warmth. "Wu Jian, I didn't know you were back already. And yes, I am going to see Wu Yang. Do you have anything to say to me?"
"Saozi, why do you have to be so cold to me?" Wu Jian's expression fell as he scratched the back of his head with a sigh. "What I did that day was truly shameful. I have no excuses. I just hope that you will forgive me in time."
"That's enough!" Bai Yue stopped him. She did not wish to talk about that incident at all, nor did she want him to get too close. "Wu Jian, I already told you to never talk about that matter ever again. Don't you remember the promise? Otherwise... don't blame me for not showing you any mercy."
The expression on her beautiful face was filled with coldness. It made Wu Jian shiver and unconsciously take a step back. He was afraid of her, especially when she was like this. Because he knew just how scary she could be when angered.
"Of course. Of course, I remember." Wu Jian nodded, waving both hands in a gesture to calm her down. "It was just a slip of the tongue, Saozi. Please don't take it to heart. Anyway, you seem to be going to see Wu Yang. I won't keep you then."
He moved aside to let her pass, bowing respectfully, and left her without a look back.
"That man will never change," Bai Yue shook her head as she walked toward Wu Yang's room. "Always so flirtatious and greedy. If it weren't for his brother, he would've been dead a long time ago."
Though she spoke these words, they did not hold any murderous intent. She knew full well that except for his philandering ways, there was nothing wrong with Wu Jian.
He was a good man—one with a good heart and loyal to a fault. He never made any trouble for the clan, despite his womanizer tendencies. Even if there were those that didn't get along well with him, no one thought of him as a bad person.
However, his constant attempts to seduce her made her annoyed. She did not like the way he kept coming on to her even after marrying his older brother, Wu Haoran. He was basically trying to steal his brother's woman.
Bai Yue sighed. Then she shook her head to clear it. "Oh, well. There's no point wasting more thoughts over such a man. Now, time to talk to my son about earlier..."
Soon, she reached the door to Wu Yang's room, bringing his meal and medicinal drinks.
Like before, she didn't bother announcing herself before pushing open the door and entering his room.
"Yang'er, I have brought your meal and medicine," Bai Yue called out to him, though her voice was softer than earlier. She didn't want to sound too harsh and upsetting to him.
Wu Yang was meditating with his eyes closed. Practicing the Dragon-Phoenix Convergence cultivation method as taught by his master. Su Ling had made sure to imprint the method into his memory so he wouldn't need to keep consulting her about it. He only needed to get more experience with actual practice.
He hadn't even noticed Bai Yue entering, engrossed in cultivating, so when he heard her voice, he was surprised.
Opening his eyes, Wu Yang turned his attention to his mother carrying his meal. She was still wearing a white, high-slit qipao. Her fair white legs were peeking through the opening and giving him a pleasant view.
"Mom? Why did you come here again?" Wu Yang asked in confusion. "I thought you would be sending someone else."
