Chapter 11 - The Past of Bai Yue

Bai Yue floated on the rooftop of Wu Manor, staring at the rising moon that cast a beautiful glow upon the earth. A cold breeze brushed against her cheek, blowing her long hair backward.

The tranquil moonlight gave off an elegant luster, and it soothed her chaotic mind a bit. However, the thoughts inside her head wouldn't go away, tormenting her even now.

A few hours had already passed since that woman, Su Ling, mentioned that she had to dual cultivate with her own son. To her, this seemed like an impossible task. How could she do such a thing with Wu Yang?

But if she didn't, her beloved son might not be able to recover. It was a hard decision to make. Should she be a good mother and heal him, or should she not because of her own sense of morality?

"Is it really impossible?" Bai Yue asked herself. "Would it be wrong of me to agree to such a thing?"

The answer was no. She knew that very well. It was something she could easily do in order to help her son, and yet she hesitated. Was it fear?

"You are still tormenting yourself even now. How foolish." Bai Yue looked at the moon and whispered, "I'm still not over it, am I?"

Those words brought back many old memories. Those memories flashed past her mind at an incredible speed, filling her entire being with mixed emotions. And among them was something she had always been afraid to think about. It was a painful experience from a long time ago.

It happened when she was still young. That time, when she had just reached adulthood, her clan arranged a marriage for her—to marry someone of their own bloodline. However, her partner turned out to be her own ancestor, who was left with a century or so of life remaining.

That wasn't even the problem. She could care less about that. The problem was that the ancestor's appearance looked like a disgusting old man—withered skin, thin hair, crooked back, and many other unsightly features.

It disgusted her to the core and made her sick, yet her clan still forced her into marriage and forbade her from leaving that accursed home. Because that disgusting old man had high cultivation and bloodline, her clan wanted her to bear his child for future generations.

This made her curse the clan's obsession with bloodlines, their traditions of incest, and their ruthless way of dealing with issues.

For that reason, Bai Yue escaped from her marriage—fleeing from the clan's wrath by escaping to the mortal world. And during their chase, she was injured severely.

Luck was on her side, though. A kind-hearted, young cultivator who didn't know her identity treated her wounds and helped her recover. Later, she fell in love with him, and he also fell in love with her.

That person was Wu Haoran, Wu Yang's father. It was a coincidence that the two became husband and wife, but she was happy with it and chose to abandon the past and move on.

However, now, the situation had become almost identical to that time. She had to have... intimate relations... with a young man of her own blood, her beloved son.

"This is completely different from that time," Bai Yue thought to herself. "I love Wu Yang so much. He's my most beloved treasure, and he is not an old, ugly man... Instead, he is a handsome youth whose appearance could make any woman blush..."

Bai Yue paused, recalling how her son's raging dragon had stirred when she was bathing him. It was the first time she had ever seen his manhood up close since he reached adulthood. It was thick, long, and rock hard when aroused, just like a warrior's sword.

"How will my Yang'er make me feel once we... dual cultivate...?" Bai Yue questioned, feeling her cheeks heat up slightly, as she couldn't help but imagine herself being pushed down by him, with that giant pillar between his legs pounding her body with great vigor.

"Ahhhh!! I'm already losing myself! It seems that I'm not against doing such a thing with Yang'er anymore. But am I simply too eager because of my own desire? Maybe that's the reason why I'm hesitating? Because as his mother, I should be better than this... I should be..." Bai Yue bit her lip, conflicted over the decision before her.

However, there was no use overthinking things. The truth was, she couldn't deny that she desired Wu Yang.

This desire might have appeared out of nowhere. However, she felt like it had always been there—lurking beneath the surface.

"What about Haoran, though? If he finds out, there will be nothing but hatred and bitterness in his heart..." Bai Yue pondered, staring into space.

Thinking of her husband, a strange feeling swept past her heart.

She loved Wu Haoran very much. But was that love strong enough for her to deny her son's recovery? Was it enough to stop her from wanting to experience the joy of being with her son—something she wouldn't allow herself to think of before today?

There was no way of knowing. All she knew was that she could not be certain about anything right now.

Her heart and mind were both a mess at the moment. No matter how long she thought about things, the answer wouldn't come to her.

"Maybe I shouldn't tell him," Bai Yue whispered, her eyes glistening with tears. "If Haoran doesn't know, then he won't have to deal with this torment. He can live a happy life in ignorance of this. He wouldn't have to know how far I'm willing to go to save our beloved son. Or how much of a shameless woman I've become by desiring my own son."

With that thought in mind, Bai Yue closed her eyes. A single tear slipped down from the corner of her eye and fell to the floor below.

After a long silence, Bai Yue wiped her eyes and said, "Then... let's just do it. For my son... and maybe for myself too."
