Chapter 18 - Master-Slave

"How do you do that?" Adriel asked Elena solemnly.

Elena stretched out her hand toward Adriel, who found hers with a squeeze. With that, Adriel could feel Elena's cold, trembling hand, which had a small smile drawn on her lips.

After a few seconds, the system presented itself to Adriel. "Do you want to convert the monster Elena, Phase: Initial. Category: A into your slave?" Adriel looked at the status window in surprise, then clicked yes.

Out of nowhere, he felt a connection with Elena, something magical and inexplicable, which embraced him with warmth.

Elena saw a status window, which also appeared to Adriel. "The monster Elena has become a companion spirit. The owner, Adriel, will be able to see her vital status at all times and control her almost completely." Adriel was stunned by the status window he saw.

He turned to look at Elena, only to search her mind and find that strange link, with which he made the woman take a step forward.

"Ah. Don't do that. It scares me," Elena said as she trembled.

"I don't like her, I don't want her. Still, there's something I'd love to do," Adriel thought as he saw his new ability to control her.

Adriel made her come closer, then reached out his hand and forced her to do so, then intertwined their fingers. He moved his hand to Elena's waist and used his control over her to put his hand on her shoulder.

Adriel looked around him; the flowers, trees, mushrooms, and moon were creating a perfect and beautiful scene.

They began to move to Adriel's rhythm, an erratic bullet. Elena was just trembling and being controlled by Adriel like a puppet, while he felt relaxed, aware, and free.

With a sudden movement, they separated, their right hands still together and intertwined, with the moons shining behind them.

Adriel looked around again, felt, forgot, saw, and heard everything around him as time slowed down in his mind. After a long time, he felt that he was living consciously, doing what he wanted.

Amara watched the scene in surprise. She felt jealous, but also a strange, indescribable feeling. The only thing she knew was that the emotion was good.

Adriel let go of Elena's hand, separating himself from her completely.

After finishing his dance, he felt more relaxed. His mind awoke from the dream he had lived for 16 years. Finally, he had found a place where he could leave his mark by doing what he loved most: discovering the unknown.

As he stood there calmly, he saw the werewolf's body, but instead of thinking about throwing it down the ravine, he thought about eating it.

"Do you think it would be good to eat?" Adriel asked sinisterly as he stared at the corpse.

"I've eaten wolf several times, but never a werewolf," Elena said as she shook her head from side to side out of boredom.

Without speaking or thinking, Adriel grabbed the werewolf and pulled him away from the others, then grabbed some wood and began rubbing it erratically until he created fire.

When the flame began to dance in the wind, Adriel grabbed his scythe and cut off some meat. He quickly put it over the fire, holding it with the tip of the scythe.

When the meat began to smell good and looked completely cooked, he grabbed the piece of meat and offered it to Elena, putting it close to her mouth.

The woman was reluctant for a moment, but with his control over her, Adriel opened her mouth, and she resignedly took a bite.

The taste was good, juicy, and cooked to perfection. "It tastes good. I doubt there's any poison," Elena said as she licked her lips, enjoying the delightful flavor.

Adriel looked at the moon near the east. 'I think it's the same principle as the sun.'

"We'll wait until dawn. If it doesn't affect you, we'll eat," Adriel said as he stomped on the branches to extinguish the fire.

Adriel left the meat with Elena and sat down.

Elena continued to devour the piece of meat, savoring it and eating it quickly. "I don't know about you, but I don't think this is poisonous," said the woman as she devoured the piece of meat.

Adriel looked away and lay down at the foot of a tree.

He closed his eyes, but in his imagination he saw Steven's horrified face, covered in blood and despair, so he stayed awake, watching the werewolf.

Elena approached the boy and sat down next to him. "We have to leave here, we still have time... I guess, but we could die if we stay here." The woman's tone became more serious than usual.

Adriel frowned slightly. "Why?" he asked, a little worried as he looked up at the sky.

"I'm Category C," Elena said as she followed the boy's gaze.
