Chapter 27 - I Will Bury You Within the Statue of the God!

The video began to play.

Tenshukaku loomed under a somber, cloudy sky.

A crowd had gathered, craning their necks to watch the spectacle.

The Tenryou Commission's Shogunate army was conducting the Hundredth Vision Hunt Ceremony.

Thoma knelt in the execution square, his hands bound behind his back.

High above him floated the Raiden Shogun—expression cold, eyes locked upon the Statue of the Omnipresent God.

Without emotion, she turned gracefully in midair.

With a single motion of her hand, thunder roared, and Thoma's Pyro Vision was violently wrenched from his body.

Swish—!!

Suddenly, from the crowd below, Lumine's figure flashed with lightning as she leapt skyward.

She caught the falling Pyro Vision midair and landed on one knee—graceful, resolute.

[Kamisato Ayaka: What's happening? Thoma's Vision—why is it being taken away?!]

[Kamisato Ayato: Thoma, did you do something? (classic Albedo face)]

[Thoma: Master Ayato, I didn't do anything, I swear! (panicked.jpg)]

[Amber: Why is the Traveler interfering?]

[Lisa: No wonder she was being hunted by the Shogun in that previous video… (resting her cheek in her hand)]

The video continued.

Paimon quickly untied Thoma, while Lumine rose to her feet—meeting the Raiden Shogun's gaze across the stormy air.

The Shogun narrowed her beautiful eyes, her lips parting slightly as her voice rang cold and divine:

"You can wield the elements without a Vision… you are an exception."

She descended from the heavens, each step rippling across waves of thunder.

"And an exception… is the enemy of eternity."

She extended both hands, and lightning surged across the execution grounds.

Behind her, a halo of countless eyes—the Wheels of a Hundred Desires—lit up in blinding radiance.

Zzzzzzzzz—

Her eyes closed.

A brilliant bolt of light erupted from her chest.

There, the divine blade—Musou Isshin, the "Musou Isshin"—slowly materialized.

Clang!

The Shogun grasped the weapon, raising it high toward the heavens.

The skies trembled. The storm howled. Every bolt of thunder obeyed her call.

"I will bury you within the Statue of the God!"

With a horizontal slash, she unleashed a sea of violet lightning.

Reality itself cracked apart—space shattered into fragments—

and all was swallowed by darkness.

The video ended.

[Arataki Itto: Holy crap, what the hell was that?! That's… kinda terrifying!]

[Lisa: You can feel her pressure even through the screen… such intensity. (twists her body slightly)]

[Xingqiu: She can even sever space itself… so that's the true Musou no Hitotachi!]

[Amber: What happened to the Traveler afterward? (worried)]

[Lumine: Don't worry, I'm blessed by good fortune! I'll be fine… probably! (hands on hips proudly)]

[Klee: But why do people call it the "Milky-Scented Slash"?]

[Kaeya: Because she draws the sword from her chest—so it carries… a certain aroma.]

[Klee: Ohh! I see! (new and suspicious knowledge acquired.jpg)]

[Jean: Kaeya! Stop teaching Klee weird things again! @Kaeya]

[The Mishearing Maniac: As Kaeya said, since she draws the sword from her chest, in parallel worlds this move is known as the "Milky-Scented Slash." So, little flower girl of Inazuma—do you, uh, understand? @Sayu]

[Sayu: Y-you're so mean! I'm not playing anymore! I'm going to sleep! Waaaah! (tanuki tears.jpg)]

[Kujou Sara: Outrageous! I absolutely refuse to accept this! "Milky-Scented Slash"? That's blasphemy against the Shogun herself! (slams table in fury)]

[Albedo: The slash Kazuha blocked earlier, and this video—both seem to depict visions of the future, don't they? @The Mishearing Maniac]

[The Mishearing Maniac: You could say that—they're… possibilities of what might come to pass. ╮(─▽─)╭]

The future had been exposed—

but the plotline had already changed.

Neither of those scenes would ever truly occur now.

Meanwhile, the public stream had exploded into chaos.

[Dongsheng: Holy crap! That sword's huge! And so bright!]

[Uesugi: Yeah! I kinda wanna get slashed by the Shogun myself!]

[A-Sheng: No wonder Kazuha's friend wanted to witness her Musou no Hitotachi!]

[Six-Fingered Joseph: Shogun-sama, please! Build me into your statue too!]

[Chang Jiuyé: That slash was insane—it literally cut the stream to black!]

[Jie Cui Xing Shi: As expected from one of the Seven Archons!]

[Kujou Takayuki: That is the true Musou no Hitotachi! A mortal could never even approach such power!]

[AXu: Emperor Ye: "Come again?"]

[Mao Caigong:Musou no Hitotachi? More like Milky-Scented Slash!]

[Chang Hu: Yeah, exactly!]

[Da Wu: My lord speaks truth!]

At first, most viewers had been furious—feeling duped by yet another chaotic video.

But after witnessing the Shogun's sword-drawing scene… they understood.

Yes—this truly was the "Milky-Scented Slash."

The once-imposing Raiden Shogun now bore a new, meme-laden title across the internet:

"The Milky-Scented Slash Goddess."

Yet again, she had been memed into oblivion.

The Inazuma Shogunate's soldiers and countless followers of the Raiden Shogun were enraged beyond words.

Kujou Sara, trembling with fury, felt cold sweat running down her back despite the summer heat—her hands and feet icy.

From that day forward, she swore eternal enmity toward the The Mishearing Maniac.

Meanwhile, the system announced new rewards for the One Blade to Seal the Gods video.

[Ding! Congratulations to the Raiden Shogun for obtaining: Intertwined Fate ×3!]

Within the Plane of Euthymia, Raiden Ei gazed down at the three glowing fates in her palm, her lovely face frozen in disbelief.

In her vision appeared lines of golden text:

Intertwined Fate:

Collect ten to resurrect the fallen Raiden Makoto.

Note: One for reviving a mortal.

Three for reviving a divine familiar.

Ten for resurrecting a god of the Seven.

A second banner scrolled across the stream:

[Ding! Congratulations to Kaedehara Kazuha for obtaining: Intertwined Fate ×1; Gale Swordsmanship; Wind Spirit Fractal Blade; Ultimate Art — Wind's End: Skyfall!]
