Chapter 31 - Sister-in-Law Ganyu: Time to Trick Her Into the Teapot!

Bai Hao was at it again—mischievous as ever.

Unfortunately, this time, Keqing had personally administered justice.

But to the onlookers, the way those two bickered didn't quite look… normal.

"So, what exactly are you here for?"

Keqing crossed her arms, a faint blush still coloring her cheeks as she frowned in tsundere suspicion.

"Delivering takeout."

Bai Hao set down two paper bags and pulled out a cap identical to the one worn by the Part-Time Demon King, putting it on with a completely innocent expression.

Keqing blinked in surprise.

"Ah… oh, alright. Thanks."

Her eyes drifted toward the takeout on the table. The rich aroma of shrimp balls made her delicate nose twitch, and she couldn't help but swallow a little.

For all Bai Hao's shamelessness, his timing was impeccable. These shrimp balls really did come at the perfect moment.

Bai Hao opened a box, speared one with a bamboo skewer, and took a bite while speaking casually:

"So, could you maybe move your foot?"

He had deliberately not gone elemental this time—not because he was pretending to be weak, but simply because he wanted to feel what it was like to be stepped on by Master Keqing…

"Oh—oh, sorry!"

Keqing realized what she was doing and hastily pulled her foot back, mortified at her loss of composure.

Bai Hao was the type who didn't fear getting stomped barefoot.

But she—the newly appointed Yuheng of the Liyue Qixing—messing around like this with a guy like him? It was absolutely beneath her dignity!

To make matters worse, everyone around them was staring like they were watching a pair of flirtatious lovers.

Keqing's expression grew increasingly awkward.

And Bai Hao, being the devious rascal he was, made no effort to diffuse the situation. He just kept eating his shrimp balls, quietly watching her squirm—his heart dancing with laughter.

The atmosphere grew unbearably awkward.

After a few seconds, Keqing scratched her cat-like head and stammered, desperate to change the subject:

"Uh—right, let me introduce you. This is the secretary of Yuheng Pavilion—Miss Ganyu."

She pulled Ganyu forward as a conversational shield.

Bai Hao knew when to stop teasing. He nodded politely.

"Hello, Sister Ganyu. Would you like a shrimp ball?"

He waved one gently on the skewer.

In truth, from the moment he saw Keqing, his eyes had already drifted to the gentle, elegant beauty standing beside her.

Yes, he might be bantering with Keqing—but the one who'd truly captured his attention was Ganyu!

After all, this was the mentor of his beloved Shenhe's master.

By the laws of web-novel logic—that made her his sister-in-law!

"Hehe, thank you, but I'll just have some Qingxin instead."

Ganyu smiled softly, her beauty glowing under the moonlight of Yujing Terrace like a dream—graceful enough to shame fish and birds alike.

She was half-Qilin, half-human.

She drank only sweet dew and ate only blessed grain—never a trace of meat.

Still, she found something oddly familiar about Bai Hao.

There was a faint scent around him… strangely familiar. Was it just her imagination?

Her curiosity toward this young man deepened.

Of course, she didn't realize the truth—that Bai Hao had simply drunk a bottle of coconut milk before coming.

He'd been downing it daily lately, as though it were an energy drink.

Unfortunately, there was only one case left, and it was almost gone.

So now, he was plotting how to trick Ganyu into moving into Cheng's Serenitea Pot, where he could raise her with plenty of Qingxin until she was all round and milky white—

—and then, he'd have an endless supply of "coconut milk."

"Hey, why are you staring at her like that?"

Keqing jabbed him with her elbow, munching on a shrimp ball herself.

She'd noticed him zoning out for quite a while now.

"Oh, she's just… pretty," Bai Hao replied with a shrug, completely unbothered.

Unlike the flat 2D Ganyu he'd seen in the game, this Ganyu was a living, breathing celestial being.

A Qilin hybrid who'd cultivated for millennia—her immortal aura was richer than uranium-235!

Even Zhao Ling'er couldn't compare to this level of ethereal beauty.

He wasn't Zhongli, after all—a man made of stone. A little appreciation never hurt anyone, right?

"Tch. Men!"

Keqing shot him a disdainful glance and went back to her shrimp balls.

She couldn't deny it, though.

Ganyu was a few thousand years old—her grace, her poise, her beauty—were leagues beyond that of any tsundere young girl.

Many foreign dignitaries who came to Yujing Terrace had fallen for Ganyu, even confessing their love in public.

But she had always refused them.

Romance didn't interest her. What she truly loved was work.

To fulfill her contract with the Geo Archon, to see Liyue flourish—that was her greatest devotion.

Keqing had once tried to match Ganyu's work ethic, sleeping only four hours a night—but she'd lasted barely a month.

Ganyu, meanwhile, had done it for three thousand years.

If there were ever a "Liyue Model Worker" award, it'd be hers forever!

The three of them chatted for a while—getting to know each other better, discussing Bai Hao's background, Keqing and Ganyu's duties, and even the Teyvat Fan-Creation Livestream System.

But Ganyu didn't seem too happy.

Her cherry lips moved slightly as she whispered:

"That livestream even dares to parody the Seven Archons themselves… I'm worried I'll end up like Raiden Shogun—completely socially dead."

Bai Hao spread his hands.

"Worrying won't help, will it? If someone wants to make a fan edit, they will."

Keqing frowned.

"Aren't you worried you'll get fan-edited too?"

Bai Hao shook his head.

"Not really. There are hundreds of people in the VIP room alone."

"And with more Vision holders joining every day, it might take a year or two before it's even my turn."

"Besides, getting edited comes with rewards—so why would I be worried?"

Keqing nodded in agreement.

"That… does make sense."

After hearing Bai Hao's logic, both she and Ganyu felt a bit more at ease.

The only potential concern, they thought, was if Rex Lapis himself got fan-edited.

He was, after all, the very symbol of Liyue's spirit!

But the Geo Archon had no flaws—at worst, he'd end up dancing like Raiden Shogun. Hardly worth worrying about.

Of course, that was because neither of them had any idea how diabolical the world of fan edits could be.

And as for Bai Hao—the true mastermind—

While he was laughing and chatting with them, he'd already quietly slotted both of them into his fan-edit schedule.

Whether it was "Beef-Mixed Keqing" or "Chewy Goat Ganyu," both were premium material waiting to be mined for all their worth!

He glanced around Yujing Terrace—the grand plaza shining with lights, majestic and ornate.

If the hardworking Millelith soldiers knew that the hall they'd painstakingly decorated today…

…would become the funeral venue for the "Fallen Geo Archon" tomorrow,

one wondered what expressions they'd make.

And when the livestream later revealed that the Geo Archon had only faked his death, shocking all seven nations—

How would Old Man Zhongli react then?

A sly grin tugged at the corners of Bai Hao's mouth.

His Teyvat Fan-Creation Livestream System operated by harvesting emotional fluctuations to earn Primogems—

not unlike Sumeru's Akasha System.

And right now, he could already see it—

a flood of Primogems, rushing toward him in waves!

The next day, the long-awaited Rite of Descension finally began…
