The Purple worm toxin is a very deadly poison that only high level alchemists/physicians can cure. It is a parasitic-type poison that corrodes internal organs over time and weakens spiritual veins. Direct detoxification methods are dangerous due to the toxin's dormant nature. If forced, it will flare up and spread to the heart which will lead to death.
Although Qingzhou was a big city, it was still far behind other cities. With only a few high level physicians and alchemists in Qingzhou city, it was also very expensive to get in contact with them and their treatments were just as expensive, Zhu Ping couldn't afford it.
Bai Jing could see despair in his father's eyes, and his own chest tightened: "Don't worry, Father. Now that I know what it is, I have a way to treat it. Get me a paper and ink, I'll write down the prescription." Bai Jing said
"Wait a moment." Zhu Ping said before leaving the room.
He didn't doubt Bai Jing's made-up nonsense. In this world where people pursue cultivation and immortality, many have achieved enlightenment and great success. If Xiao Bai could become an alchemist or a physician, his future would be limitless.
With this thought, Zhu Ping prepared the paper and ink. He placed them on the small wooden table by the bed. Bai Jing then began to write the prescription. He wrote clearly in detail with easy to understand steps. All the required herbs weren't rare and were easy to obtain, except for the soul grass root, which was a bit expensive. Holding the paper, Zhu Ping had an illusion that his problem, which had persisted for years, would be solved within a week or two..
Zhu Ping thanked Bai Jing for the prescription and repeatedly warned him not to tell his enlightenment to anyone, especially not the Bai family unless he had absolute trust in them. Bai Jing nodded his head and made a compromise. Following this, Zhu Ping tidied the room and bundled Bai Jing's clothes. He didn't doubt what Bai Han said about the Ye family driving Ye Cheng out.
Everyone in Qingzhou city knew of Ye Cheng, the illegitimate child, and how he wasn't welcome within the Ye family. His very existence was a constant reminder of a transgression to his father and step mother.
Zhu Ping forced a small smile: "My son… you've truly grown up. If this ability is real, it's a blessing from the heavens. You can rely on it in the future, especially after you marry."
Bai Jing blinked, caught off guard by that last line: "Marry?" He still wasn't used to this term.
Zhu Ping chuckled softly, shaking his head. "You'll understand when the time comes. Just don't end up like me. While you're both still young, you and your husband should cherish and support one another. You two are both victims, so try to understand and be tolerant of each other." Zhu Ping thought for a moment and added with a smile: "men are driven by desires, so try to satisfy your husband as best as you can. Otherwise, that's how they end up bringing more people into the backyard…"
"Dad!..." Bai Jing blushed and covered his head with the pillow refusing to listen.
It was early winter and the weather was a little cold. Most of the clothes that Zhu Ping packed were simple winter clothes and big blankets/comforters for the cold. Zhu Ping put the clothes in a low storage bag and handed it to Bai Jing.
As winter approaches, the weather is starting to get chilly. Zhu Ping packed a selection of simple winter clothes and substantial blankets that were suitable for the weather. These items were then carefully placed into a low storage bag and handed to Bai Jing.
"Thanks." Bai Jing said, expressing his gratitude.

Later that evening, a refined carriage came out of the Bai family mansion heading to the other part of the city. A magnificent, three-horned, level-five golden horse pulled it, drawing envious gazes and admiration from passersby. Inside, Lord Bai, Zhu Ping, and Bai Jing sat in a tense silence. Bai Jing took the opportunity to size up his so-called father. Lord Bai, in his early forties, had long brown hair, narrow eyes, and a sharp nose. He possessed an aura that made people not dare look him in the eyes.
Bai Jing stared so intensely that Lord Bai felt it and looked at him: "What are you staring at?" Lord Bai's deep and cold voice sounded in the carriage.
Bai Jing was cut right handedly and froze in place. He was a little embarrassed and had to come up with an excuse. "I want to engrave your image in my memory."
Lord Bai was a little surprised as he didn't expect that answer. He sizes Bai Jing up for a moment and chuckles, the child who had never dared to look up at him suddenly wants to engrave his image? "Interesting, very interesting. You should be able to adapt to circumstances easily."
A few minutes later, the carriage arrived at the Ye family mansion. The servants saw the Bai family crest on it and opened the gate without hesitation. Lord Bai nodded his head in satisfaction, the Ye family was giving him face. As he got off the carriage, a servant came and bowed: "Lord Bai, Our lord has been awaiting your arrival. This way please." The servant signaled with his hand and led the way.
Meanwhile, Bai Jing and Zhu Ping were left in the carriage with the driver. Unlike the Bai resident that was full of elegance, the Ye resident was a little relaxing and refreshing. Soon, the servant led Lord Bai to the pavilion where Lord Ye was sitting. The servant bowed and retreated to the side.
"Welcome to my humble resident, Lord Bai." Lord Ye greeted, extending his hand. The two noblemen shook hands, their expressions hinting at a deeper understanding.
"Lord Ye, you are too kind. Today is indeed a most joyous occasion," Lord Bai replied with a smile.
Lord Ye then spoke: "As children grow older, they tend to leave home and follow their own paths." His gaze held a profound meaning, one that Lord Bai instantly recognized.
Lord Bai understood the implications behind his words and chuckled. The two sat down and a servant came forward and served tea before retreating.
Lord Bai chuckled as he grasped the unspoken implications of Lord Ye's words. They both sat down, and a servant came forward, serving fragrant tea before respectfully withdrawing, leaving the two lords to their private conversation.

A lady sat in the pavilion, two servants were standing next to her. One.of them had a tray containing fruits on it, while the other one was playing a calming instrument. The lady was dressed in a stylish green robe. Her face was expressionless but her body language tells otherwise. Her posture was relaxed and her hands were neatly folded under her chin. From time to time, she'll put some fruit into her mouth and stare into the distance.
"Mother, Lord Bai is here to see father." A teenage boy came in and reported. "Is your presence required?" He asked while he bowed down to his mother.
"No need, your father will handle it. Lord Bai came because of the marriage and we can finally get rid of that bastard." She said coldly
"Mother is right, I won't have to worry." Ye Yang smiled as he took a glance at his mother's reaction.
"The bastard has already lost his chance to enter Limitless Academy. Your father will give the last token to you tonight." Lady Ye said
"Mother has worked hard. Yang won't disappoint you." Ye Yang's eyes lit up and he kissed the back of his mother's hand.
"Just be on your best behavior for now." Lady Ye gently pulled out from her son's hold. She pat his head gently
Ye Yang nodded and bare Falwell.
...
In this grand mansion, there was surprisingly a simple room. A young boy sat crossed legged on the bed meditating. Given how elegant the Ye mansion is, no one would expect a room as poor as this.
A servant was keening at the foot of the wooden bed: "Young master, Lord Bai came a while ago. I think it's about the marriage between the two families."
"Oh," Ye Cheng didn't open his eyes and face was still expressionless
"Young master, how can you still be so calm?" The servant was worried
Ye Cheng opened his eyes and looked at the servant lazily: "What would you rather me do? Nothing's gonna change anyway."
