The two of them arrived at the nursery, where the nanny was changing Odell's diaper.
Rhett stopped at the door and didn't go in.
Elise didn't notice his hesitation and walked over to look at Odell.

After the nanny finished changing the diaper, she picked up the baby from the crib and asked, "Miss Collins, would you like to hold him?"
Elise's eyes flickered with some displeasure at the title, but since Rhett was there, she didn't say anything. "I'll hold him," she said, reaching out to take the baby.
But as soon as she held Odell, the little guy who had been sleeping with his eyes closed suddenly opened them.
His big, round eyes stared right at her, and after a few seconds, he burst into tears, waving his little fists and arms like he was trying to push Elise away.
