Kael stood in the center of the main room, watching his team transform empty space into something operational. Ava wired servers. Marcus reinforced security. Emma and Daniel organized weapons storage. Kira trained new recruits.
Three weeks since the trial. Three weeks building something new.
"Power's up," Ava called. Screens flickered to life. Maps. Data feeds. Intelligence networks. "We're officially online. Independent servers. Encrypted communications. Unhackable. Probably."
"Probably isn't reassuring," Marcus said.
"Nothing's guaranteed. But we're as secure as current technology allows." Ava pulled up their first operational display. "I've been monitoring chatter. Dark web. Underground networks. Resurrection magic is trending."
"Trending?" Kael moved closer. "Explain."
