Chapter — Back to Campus Chaos
Jay adjusted her oversized sunglasses as she and Keifer walked hand in hand through the university gates. Their fingers laced together, gold bands glinting in the sunlight. To the rest of the student body, it looked like a celebrity couple had just stepped out of a mansion and straight into class. Which, technically, wasn't far from the truth.
"Jay, I swear, they're staring," Keifer leaned down to murmur in her ear, smirk tugging at his lips.
"That's because you're six-foot-two and glowing like you just bought the entire business department," she shot back, rolling her eyes. "Or maybe because you refused to let go of my hand since we left the car."
"Can you blame me? Mrs. Watson looks too good today."
Jay blushed furiously. Mrs. Watson. He knew exactly what he was doing.
From behind them, Yuri's voice rang out. "Oh my god—look at them! Jayfer back in action, except shinier. Married shinier!"
Section E practically mobbed them as soon as they hit the main quad. Ella, Aries, Yuri, and the others circled around like reporters at a press conference.
"So it's true? You guys actually tied the knot?" Ella squealed, grabbing Jay's hand to inspect the ring.
"Jay really said 'I do' to the King of Assholes?" Aries teased, earning himself a death glare from Keifer.
Jay deadpanned. "Correction: I said 'I do' to the King of Assholes who also happens to be my husband, billionaire, and chauffeur this morning."
"Billionaire husband privileges," Yuri muttered, fake-swooning.
"Can we focus?" Angelo suddenly appeared, holding a stack of papers like the CEO he was. "I just left a meeting and now I come here to see my cousin flaunting his marriage on campus like it's a romcom."
Keifer smirked. "You jealous I beat you to it, cousin?"
Angelo narrowed his eyes. "Please. I run a company. I don't need to be distracted by PDA."
Jay raised a brow. "And yet… here you are. Distracted."
Section E roared with laughter. Angelo muttered something about "immature children" and stalked off.
Meanwhile, the stares and whispers around campus grew louder. Is that Jay Watson? Didn't she used to be quiet? Wait, didn't she marry Keifer Watson? They live in a mansion now?! No way they're still in uni like the rest of us…
Jay sighed, tugging on Keifer's arm. "This is going to be a long semester."
Keifer only grinned, tugging her closer so his lips brushed her ear. "Don't worry, love. I'll make it fun for you. Married perks don't stop at home."
Her eyes widened. "Keifer—"
Before she could scold him, he kissed her right there in the middle of campus. Students screamed, Section E cheered, and someone actually fainted.
Yuri yelled, "PUBLIC MENACE ALERT!" while Aries shielded his eyes dramatically. "My baby sister is corrupted beyond repair."
Jay shoved Keifer's chest, face burning, but he only laughed. "Relax, Mrs. Watson. They'll get used to it."
The truth was: they wouldn't. Not when Section E and married Jayfer were about to turn this university upside down.
