Chapter 7 - chapter 7

"Now that we've introduced ourselves, how about I show you your room first?"

Yuna's voice was soft, her smile gentle. "I'll help you unpack your suitcase. After that, you should get changed you're soaked from the rain."

She paused for a moment, looking at Hana before continuing,"While you're changing, I'll go to my room and put on something dry and comfortable too. Then I'll come back, and we'll take our time going through the rest of the house your new home, from now on."

Yuna picked up Hana's suitcase and walked ahead. Hana followed silently, like a frightened cat creeping into unfamiliar territory.

As they walked, Hana noticed how surprisingly untidy Yuna's house was.

She must have trouble keeping up with the housework, Hana thought, moving carefully behind her."This is your room," Yuna said, opening the door.

Hana's eyes wandered around the space. A desk, a large wardrobe, plenty of room to move around, and a cozy looking bed that seemed unbelievably inviting. This is really my room? Is she serious? I can sleep here?

She could hardly believe it. After years spent in her father's tiny, cramped room, this one felt like a palace.

Yuna set the suitcase down in front of the wardrobe and knelt, already about to open it.

But a small, trembling voice stopped her.

"Please don't open my suitcase. I don't want you to see what's inside. I can unpack it myself. Could you please leave for a moment?"

Yuna frowned slightly but looked at Hana with warmth in her eyes."I see… you're embarrassed. You don't want me to open it." A faint smile curved her lips."You know what? I don't really care. If I want to open your suitcase, I will."

She tilted her head slightly, her tone calm yet firm.

"There's no need to feel ashamed. You already told me a little about your life at your father's estate. Let me guess if I open it, I'll just find old, worn-out clothes. Like what you're wearing right now. But you don't need to be embarrassed about that."

Her smile grew a little wider.

"I'll be buying you new clothes anyway. A lovely, cute woman like you should wear something beautiful. You might not realize it yet, but to me, you're like a princess."

Yuna calmly began unpacking the suitcase, placing Hana's clothes neatly into the wardrobe. Then she laid out a pair of sweatpants, underwear, a bra, a T-shirt, and a sweater on the bed.

Hana stood nearby, eyes downcast, hardly daring to look up at her. Yuna's presence felt intimidating not just because of her confidence, but because she was tall, around 183 cm, while Hana barely reached 153.Softly, Hana murmured,

"If you buy me clothes, I'll find a job… I don't have any money, so I can't repay you."

Yuna let out a quiet, amused laugh.

"Stop staring at the floor," she said with a teasing smile. "When people talk, they look each other in the face. Don't worry, sweetheart I don't bite."

"You say such funny things," she added lightly. "You don't need to work and I wouldn't let you, even if you wanted to. I'll take care of everything from now on."

"It's your right as my fiancée to accept gifts from me," she continued calmly. "If I want to give you something, I will."

Her expression grew more serious.

"And I want you to listen to me. You may not realize it, but you're sick."

"I'm not sick," Hana whispered. "I feel fine, physically…"

"Yes, you are, my dear," Yuna replied gently. "You're traumatized. You need time to rest and recover. But now you're safe. No one will ever hurt you again. I promise."

Hana flinched when Yuna raised her hand but instead of hitting her, Yuna softly stroked her shoulder. Tears welled up in Hana's eyes and rolled silently down her cheeks.

"Everything will be alright," Yuna whispered. "Get changed and lie down for a while. Try to relax. It's been a long, exhausting day."

She smiled tenderly. "I know this must all feel strange to you suddenly being engaged. But you don't have to worry. Even though I think you're beautiful, I won't touch you. Nothing will be forced. We each have our own room and our own bed."

Yuna stood, brushed a strand of hair from her face.

"I'll leave you to rest now, alright? Take your time. Later, I'll show you around the house. I'll be downstairs in the living room just call me if you need anything."

Slowly, she left the room and closed the door behind her.

Hana quickly changed and lay down on the soft bed. She couldn't stop thinking about Yuna.

She's so kind to me… does she really mean everything she said? I don't even know how I'm supposed to feel. I'm her fiancée now… but what does that actually mean for me?

She tried to calm her thoughts, closing her eyes as the memories of the day drifted through her mind. Her eyelids grew heavier and heavier, until she finally fell into a peaceful sleep.

Yuna's POV

Yuna retreated to her own room and slipped into a pair of comfy leggings that hugged her figure perfectly, along with a soft hoodie.

I hope she's able to rest. After everything that's happened, she must be completely drained.

I have to do my best for her now to take good care of my fiancée. I want to be the kind of partner she could fall in love with.

A faint smile touched her lips.

I'm so lucky to be engaged to such a beautiful woman. She's exactly my type both in looks and in personality. She's still traumatized, fragile, but I'll make sure she heals. It's my responsibility to make her happy.

"After some time"

She glanced at the clock. I should check on her soon. I don't want her to sleep too long or she won't rest properly tonight.

We should have dinner soon anyway. I'll order something nice and before that, I'll run her a hot bath to help her relax. Then we'll eat together, quietly. She'll probably get sleepy again, and I can send her off to bed.

Yuna stood beside Hana's bed, watching her peaceful face.

My fiancée… she looks so calm. So sweet.

Gently, she reached out and stroked Hana's cheek, trying to wake her softly.
