Yuna stared at her smartphone,
puzzled. Why's my darling calling me now? I just left the house…
Without hesitation, she answered the call. The first thing she heard was Hana's nervous voice.
"Hey, Yuna… sorry for calling. Did you drive far already? Could you maybe come back? I forgot to give you your breakfast box.
Yuna smiled softly. "It's fine, you don't have to apologize. Don't worry, I'll come back I've barely driven fifty meters. I'm still on schedule anyway. See you in a sec, cutie. And thanks for the lunch box I'd never pass that up."
Two minutes later, Yuna was back home, grabbed her lunch box, and finally set off for work again. When she arrived, she went straight to her office and took a moment to organize her thoughts and figure out what needed to be done today.
Hana's POV
Hana got to work right away, starting with the cleaning. She had a clear plan in her head on how to go about it so that everything would end up spotless and tidy.
Okay, first I'll put all the books lying around the living room back on the shelves. Then I'll carefully clear everything off the tables, shelves, and dressers, she thought, glancing around the room to get a sense of what needed doing.
Then she grabbed a damp cloth and began wiping off the dust.
"Wow, this place really doesn't get cleaned often," she murmured, wiping fine dust from the furniture."All done," Hana sighed in relief.
Why am I so nervous? My hands are shaking a little… She gave her head a small shake. Whatever. Next, I'll vacuum, and then I'll mop. Let's do this.
Yuna's POV
With a cheerful smile, Yuna opened the lunch box Hana had made.I love her… my fiancée's an angel, she thought, admiring the contents: three sandwiches, some sliced veggies carrots, tomatoes, and a few cucumber slices.
After finishing her delicious meal, Yuna went back to work, planning to wrap things up by 3:45 PM.She sorted papers by date, read a few emails on her computer, and replied to them diligently.
What are these idiots even writing? This is total nonsense! The nerve of some people… unbelievable, Yuna thought irritably, frowning as she clicked through her inbox.
Time flew by. She was deep in her workflow, and when she finally checked the clock, it was already 3:48.
Wow, time really flew today, she mused with a faint smile. She put on her jacket, grabbed her bag, made sure she hadn't forgotten anything, said goodbye to her coworkers, and headed for the parking lot.
At the Supermarket
I hope I bought everything my cutie wrote on the shopping list…Yuna glanced nervously at her shopping cart and read through the list a few times. Finally, she let out a small sigh of relief.
Okay, I'm pretty sure I got everything. If not, I'll grab the rest tomorrow. I'll be going into the city anyway… maybe I'll buy my princess something cute while I'm there.
A gentle smile spread across Yuna's face. I'd love to take her shopping with me, but the way she dresses right now? No way I'm letting her go out like that. As my fiancée, she needs to look proper.
She shook her head slightly. Besides, she needs to rest for now. Taking her into the city this soon wouldn't be smart it'd only overwhelm her.
She slipped the list back into her bag.
Hana heard Yuna's car pulling into the driveway, and a small smile crept across her lips. She's home!
She quickly left the living room and went to the front door.
When Yuna stepped inside, she paused for a second in surprise. Hana stood there in the entryway, greeting her with a shy smile.
"Welcome home, Yuna. How was work?" she asked, her voice a little nervous.
Yuna smiled back. "Pretty good. I got a lot done today. And look I even went shopping. Hopefully, I got everything that was on the list."
Hana stepped forward carefully, almost like a timid rabbit approaching a predator.
"Can I take the groceries for you?"
"Nope! I'm not letting you carry these bags. Hands off, cutie. I've got my pride, you know I'm your pack mule. I'll carry the heavy stuff for you, not the other way around."
Hana flinched a little, taking a step back. "I'm sorry… I didn't mean to ask something stupid."Ugh, I'm so dumb. Of course she wouldn't let me carry them… I just wanted to be nice. But did she have to sound so snappy about it? Hana thought, a little hurt.
Yuna sighed softly and shook her head.
"Oh, mouse… don't get all nervous again. I can tell right away your posture, the way you act. You're an open book when you're anxious."
"O-okay… I'll try not to be so nervous, Yuna," Hana said quietly, looking down at the floor.
1 Hour and 20 Minutes Later
Yuna sat on the couch in the living room, calmly reading a book while Hana cooked in the kitchen.I never thought a woman would do something like this for me one day…
She really put in the effort the living room's spotless, the kitchen and hallway too. She's an angel… the perfect wife for me. And she can cook on top of that.
Yuna smiled to herself, pleased.Maybe I should help her out a little… though I'd probably just get in the way. Or maybe… I'll just watch her quietly for a bit, hehe.
She tiptoed toward the kitchen and leaned against the doorway, watching Hana with a gentle smile."Hey, sweetheart. What're you making?"
She chuckled softly. "I know you told me to wait in the living room so you could focus, but… I thought maybe I could help a bit. Only if you want me to, of course."
