Alex's POV
Okay, fine. I was lying to Raven. But it wasn't a huge lie. Just a little white one. A lie of omission if you will. Technically, I never said I wasn't interested in kissing her for reasons beyond the "strategic experiment" I told her. But trust me, I had to keep things vague for my own sanity. If I told her everything—like, really everything—she would've seen right through me, and things would have gotten way more awkward than they already were.
I told her it was an experiment, and hey, that wasn't technically a lie, right? I just didn't tell her the entire story of my little experiment. Because, well, I had my own reasons, and they were complicated—too complicated for me to just throw out there, especially when Raven was so... Raven about everything. I mean, I had to protect myself too, didn't I?
