The time was 9:00 in the morning. The alarm on the table started ringing. Without even getting up from my sleep, I angrily said, "Hey, stop your noise," and turned off the alarm. Then I closed my eyes again and lay back down.
Just then, my sleep was disturbed by a phone call. My phone kept ringing nonstop. Unable to bear it any longer, still half-asleep, I picked up the phone and answered the call.
Then I heard vini speaking from the other side. She is my friend in the company — I could even call her my best friend. she started saying: like this
"Hey Hasini, have you completed the project file? Our new boss is coming today, right? He's our new CEO, and our hr told we need to be in the office on time starting today. So why haven't you arrived yet?"
I said, "What time is it? It's just 7:00, right?"
Then she asked, "What? It's 7:00? Did you drink last night or what?"
I asked her, "Don't you know I don't have a drinking habit? Then why are you suddenly asking me that?"
Then she said, "Well, if not that, then what is it?"
She said, "It's already 9:00 now and you still haven't woken up. At this rate, when will you even come to the office? Are you planning to arrive at noon? If you go late, you're done for today. Our new CEO is extremely strict about discipline. You think about it yourself."
And just like that, my sleep completely vanished after hearing her words. I said, "What? It's already 9:00? Oh no! I'm just getting started now. Please manage things for a while," I added anxiously, as I quickly got up and squeezed toothpaste onto my brush.
She replied, "Fine, but come fast," and cut the call.
