Chapter 32 - Chapter 31: Great Victory

The Tank Zombie was an intimidating force, but Black Bone, a seasoned combatant, quickly reacted by launching a bone spear.

Whoosh!

The spear struck the shoulder of the Tank Zombie, penetrating muscles that even bullets struggled to breach, going several inches deep. Jack, controlling the Tank Zombie, had tried to dodge, but could only manage to avoid vital areas.

Black Bone's power was at its peak, equivalent to a five-star monster in the Underground City, matching the Tank Zombie's level. While the outcome of their clash was uncertain, Jack was confident in stalling him.

Before Black Bone could throw another spear, Jack, like a fully powered war chariot, closed the gap, swinging a thick tree trunk with both hands towards Black Bone. Agilely, Black Bone rolled aside, locking onto the Tank Zombie's head for another spear throw. Jack blocked with the Tank Zombie's left arm, while the right arm swung the tree again, sending Black Bone flying ten meters away.

"Enemy leader is stalled!" shouted Black Stone Hammer King.

"Good, let's clear out the grunts!" Ethan Fields rallied.

As the Tank Zombie battled Black Bone with the tree, the Adventurers surged forward. The human faction, mainly Anti-riot Zombies, faced the well-equipped Goblin Warriors who held a numerical advantage.

At this crucial moment, a female Zombie with wild hair and pale, skeletal skin entered the fray.

"Sister Luna! We need you!" shouted Mandy.

A Goblin soldier lunged at Luna Snow with a short spear, only to be met by a shrill scream. Before he could react, his heart was gouged out. Luna crushed the still-beating heart with excitement in her eyes.

"This is the speed and power of a Witch? I've never encountered such an effective first-tier spirit. This power is incredibly satisfying!" Luna exclaimed.

"Sister Luna is amazing!" cheered Mandy.

"Go, go! Destroy these filthy Goblins threatening Miracle City!" urged White Little Deer.

"That's the plan!" Luna Snow unleashed the full power of the Witch Zombie, her speed outpacing the Goblin soldiers' reactions, her claws slicing through armor and weapons effortlessly.

Wherever she went, blood and limbs flew.

The other Adventurers were awestruck.

"She's unstoppable!"

"This is the power of a five-star monster?"

"Witches have high attack, high agility, and low defense, perfect for handling Goblins!"

Despite their numerical disadvantage, the Adventurers, with such a formidable DPS, quickly gained the upper hand.

In under five minutes, the Goblin soldiers were decimated, their bodies scattered across the battlefield. Luna Snow alone killed nearly twenty, earning her the MVP title among the Adventurers.

"That was exhilarating!"

"Luna Snow really stole the show!"

"I want to contract a Witch in the future!"

After dispatching the Goblin soldiers, the Adventurers turned to support Jack. The battle between the Tank Zombie and Black Bone was nearing its end. Both were five-star combatants, but under Jack's control, the Tank Zombie had a slight edge. With a physique able to withstand multiple assault rifle barrages, Black Bone's spear throws posed no fatal threat unless they hit the head, which Jack protected diligently.

When Luna Snow, two Hunters, and nearly twenty Anti-riot Zombies surrounded Black Bone, the battle's outcome was certain. Black Bone, out of spears and severely injured, faced the encircling Miracle City monsters with despair and disbelief.

"Impossible...," he muttered.

How could an Underground City, less than a month old, possess such scale and strength?

Realizing his fatal mistake in underestimating this human Lord, he considered Jack either a genius among Lords or backed by significant power, perhaps both, explaining his rapid development.

Luna Snow joined the fray, and two five-star combatants against one sealed Black Bone's fate. He barely held on before Luna's claws pierced his heart, ending him with lingering resentment and regret.

"Yeah! We won!"

"I feel like the Dark Kind aren't all that tough!"

"It's not that they're weak; it's that we're strong!"

The battle ended in total victory, with the enemy annihilated. Eighteen ordinary Zombies were lost, but defeating fifty Dark Kind soldiers, including a five-star combatant, was a triumph. The Adventurers were satisfied but also a bit concerned.

Luna Snow remarked, "This Dark Kind Goblin was just a leader under the Dark Lord. If he's as strong as a five-star, could the Dark Lord be second-tier?"

Ethan Fields agreed, "It's possible!"

Lonely Swordsman added solemnly, "The Dark Kind's hierarchy respects strength. If a subordinate is peak first-tier, it's likely the Dark Lord is second-tier."

Black Stone Hammer King was incredulous, "What? This is a first-tier area. That's rare!"

"Rare doesn't mean impossible!" Ethan replied.

The Chaos World operates under strict rules, with regions having specific tiers, akin to game map levels. Higher-tier units can enter higher regions freely, but entering lower regions has restrictions, typically allowing brief entry during special opportunities.

Higher-tier individuals suppressing their cultivation to match a region's tier is common. However, this risks losing advantages and safety, so it's avoided unless necessary.

As a first-tier area, Gloomy Valley rarely sees second-tier units. But this restriction doesn't apply to locally born higher-tier individuals.

This is why the Chaos Continent's regions are like puzzle pieces, with top-tier Dark Lords cultivating lower and middle-tier subordinates, ensuring powerful representatives at each rank.

If the Dark Goblins Lord is indeed second-tier, he's a formidable threat in Gloomy Valley, posing a serious challenge. Yet, Jack wasn't worried.

Having chosen this location for his city, he had confidence. Jack knew the Gloomy City Lord was second-tier but singular. The second stage of the Tidal Secret Realm already deployed elite two-star BOSS Flame Thrower Trackers, and the third stage featured elite four-star G3 Complete Forms. The territory was also readying second-tier facilities.

With Adventurers farming spirits, Miracle City would soon gain second-tier combat power!

"No need to worry, mere Goblins can't threaten Miracle City!" Jack assured.

His confidence inspired the Adventurers.

"That's right!"

"Miracle City still has over twenty days of protection!"

"With Jack's talent and ability, how could a mere Goblin Lord stop him?"

"In twenty days, Miracle City could grow to thousands. We can overwhelm this Dark Lord!"

"Let's work together!"

"Take down the Dark Kind!"

Jack was pleased to see the Adventurers' fighting spirit. External threats can unite forces and motivate Adventurers to contribute resources actively.

However, Jack was impatient to conquer Gloomy City and seize a new Lord's core to create his second Secret Realm.

His concern was when the Adventurers would farm second-tier spirits. Miracle City needed skilled experts to boost farming efficiency. But Black Stone Town was small, with few top-tier Adventurers.

In the short term, Jack could only wait patiently.
