In for a penny, in for a pound!
Jack sprang into action, leading the Adventurers to Black Bone's camp. Named after its creator, Black Bone Camp had housed over ten Gnomes, now all vanquished by the Adventurers.
**[Mental Power -150]**
**[Divine Stone activated successfully!]**
**[You have successfully occupied "Black Bone Camp", obtaining "Chaos Treasure Chest (Gray)" ×1!]**
With three strongholds under Miracle City—Red Claw Village, Red Rock Camp, and Black Bone Camp—Jack wasted no time opening the treasure chest.
**[You opened the "Chaos Treasure Chest", soul crystal +400, "Blueprint: Incinerator" +1!]**
Another blueprint!
The **Blueprint: Incinerator**, a Tier 1 special building, requires 300 soul crystals, 100 Mental Power, and 100 Material Essence to construct. While it doesn't increase territory capacity, it offers a crucial function: incinerating corpses.
This feature is vital for the Underground City, significantly speeding up efforts to conquer Gloomy City by countering the Dark Kind's revival ability. Within ten hours of death, corpses can be incinerated to destroy souls and recover resources.
The Adventurers also captured twenty-five Gnome laborers, integrating them into Jack's territory to reach forty citizens. Though a small number, they help share the workload.
Next, the battlefield was cleared.
Seventy-six Gnome corpses were incinerated, yielding:
**[You incinerated a Dark Kind corpse, soul crystal +1!]**
**[You incinerated a Dark Kind corpse, soul crystal +1!]**
**[...]**
**[You incinerated a Dark Kind corpse, soul crystal +5!]**
The total yield of 124 soul crystals was modest but valuable for future income.
Equipment recovery netted 433 portions of Tier 1 Material Essence, easing the inventory shortage after the core upgrade.
With today's tasks mostly complete, Jack prepared to open the gates the next day, as Miracle City's capacity rose to 420. He spent 100 soul crystals to add 20 Secret Realm Crystals, totaling 60, to accommodate more Adventurers.
On the trading market, zombie soul essence sold steadily. After price adjustments, 50 essences fetched 894 soul crystals, boosting the territory's finances significantly.
Jack pondered his resources: 70 one-star ordinary Zombies, 9 two-star Zombies, and 1 three-star Zombie. Contemplating more sales, he was contacted by the Lord who sold him the Adventurer's Inn blueprint.
Lord 0340: "Friend, I have another blueprint. Interested?"
Another blueprint? Jack's interest piqued.
"What blueprint? Send it over!"
The **Blueprint: Secret Realm Shop**, a Tier 1 building, requires 300 soul crystals, 100 Mental Power, and 100 Material Essence. It's akin to a territory shop, a common building.
After negotiation, Jack acquired the blueprint for 60 ordinary zombie soul essences and immediately built it at the Secret Realm Lobby entrance.
Current resource reserves: Mental Power 1559, soul crystals 902, Materials 484.
Post-transaction, only 10 ordinary zombie soul essences remained, insufficient for urgent troop formation. This needed rectification.
Opening the gates was crucial to farming soul essence with Adventurers. The transaction wasn't a loss; the Secret Realm Shop offers two functions:
1. Increases population by 20.
2. Exchanges Mental Power for Secret Realm outputs.
Each shop binds to one Secret Realm. Non-Soul Essence outputs farmed by Adventurers unlock in the shop. Items can be exchanged for Mental Power, with daily exchange capped at 100 MP.
So far, the Tidal Secret Realm outputs are daily necessities and snacks—drinks, cigarettes, instant noodles, chocolate. Jack speculated that higher-quality items like guns or vehicles had low drop rates or exceeded gray quality.
Secret Realm drops correlate with Adventurer tiers. Tier 1 Adventurers can't drop Tier 2 items, but Soul Essence drops, though rare, are possible. Adventurers often try their luck for high-tier Soul Essence, turning fortunes around.
The Secret Realm Shop's practicality is evident, having unlocked over twenty goods types—food, drinks, and essentials. Investing 100 MP daily exchanges for 1000 supplies, usable for personal improvement or trading for contribution points or soul crystals.

The next day, Miracle City opened its gates to 440 Adventurers. Nancilia noticed the immediate influx. Conversations with Adventurers revealed daily queues exceeding a thousand!
Incredible!
Miracle City's popularity rivaled territories with second cities, despite its recent establishment and clearing of one small Adventurer town.
Recognizing Miracle City's potential, Nancilia resolved to contribute to its prosperity as a "network administrator."
Today's Adventurers included many new faces, some unusual, like an elderly, white-haired man—White Crane Hermit, the former top Adventurer of Black Stone Town, now gazing skyward.
"This old man finally squeezed in..." he lamented.
Entering a new Underground City proved challenging for the Old Master, surrounded by mostly young Adventurers. His presence quickly drew attention, and he was soon recognized.
"Isn't that the Old Dean?!"
"The Dean of the Adventurer Academy is here!"
"Hello, Elder Crane, do you remember me? I was your student!"
"Wow, a big shot! He's been Black Stone Town's top Adventurer for decades!"
A great deity's arrival caused a stir, with everyone eager to converse.
Nearby, Mandy, White Little Deer, Luna Snow, and others emerged from the inn, discussing their tactics for the day.
"Still playing?"
"I'm here to catch you!" announced Pig King, reporting to them.
Their expressions changed drastically.
"We're in trouble!" groaned Mandy. "The Dean's here to catch us!"
White Little Deer fretted, "We've skipped school for days. If we're caught, we're in for it!"
All eyes turned to Luna Snow, the Old Dean's granddaughter and former student. Not only had she led the charge to Miracle City, but she also terminated her contract with Tianyun City, a move the Old Dean opposed.
Now the Old Master was here in Miracle City—trouble indeed!..
