đđđ ( Lands of the gods , matchmaker palace)
The palace was once again in disarray but instead of Shu hua usual anger towards Hong Jin the fisherman; the anger was towards the disciple that have followed her for years , Xuan hua.
Pak ! A heavy slap rang out followed by a thunderous kick.
Xuan hua flew down the stairs of her palace, her white robes strained with blood and her body trembling.
At the top of the stairs , a goddess was holding onto shifu as she struggled to pounce on her and tear her into shreds.
"You thought I wouldn't know?! You thought that if you made it look like it was an accident, I would ignore it ?! Why did you throw the heavenly thunder towards Hong Jin?! You know that Taohua would try to protect him!!!"
Xuan hua laughed bitterly before glaring at Shu hua , her eyes were filled with resentment.
" Taohua! it's always Taohua ! I have been beside you for 2000 years shifu ! I did everything you asked me to do and I never complained or disobeyed not even once ! I needed to do it because you were about to intervene , demon god told us to not intervene , Senior brother put the seal on himselfâŚ"
Shu hua eyes was starting to blur with tears , her fists were clenched and she shouted in frustration. Then like a mad woman, she tried to jump down the stairs.
"Then I'll kill that Hong Jin myself!!!"
" Stop trying to interfere with his fate!" Xuan hua voice was getting louder now , drawing the attention of other gods and disciples in the neighboring peaks "You are obsessed with Taohua ! Your heart demon was never care , it was obsession and it's your obsession that will ruin senior brother chance to redeem himself!"
A thick silence descended on the place as Shu hua stiffened, Xuan hua chest heaved as she took in large gulps of air.
All of a sudden, Shu hua let out a cry and jumped down the stairs , she grabbed Xuan hua by the neck and started to strangle her.
" She's going to kill the poor bird ! " The goddess cried in alarm and joined the hoard of gods trying to separate them " Shu hua , take a hold of yourself !"
By the time , they managed to separate them , Xuan hua have almost ran out of breath, her eyes watered and her face was blue , she looked very pitiful.
Shu hua shook her hand from the hold of the goddess and glared at Xuan hua.
" I don't want to see you near my palace again, I won't throw you down , you jump down yourself "
" You will regret it shifu "
Shu hua turned and started to limp back to her palace, her figure was desolate and weary.
Tears streamed down Xuan hua face and her heart felt a surge of anger. She wanted to hurt this goddess whose eyes never contained anyone else but her disciple ' Taohua ' , she wanted to hurt her till she cry !!!
" You will be all alone ! Taohua is never coming back !! Once I jumped down I will never come back!!! when I am gone , every other disciple will know how obsessed you are and leave you too !!!! You will regret everything shifu!!!!"
Shu hua paused briefly before resuming her limping like what she said did not bother her.
"Shifu!!!"
Xuan hua cried for a long time, before finally dragging her weary self to the gates of heaven, her junior brothers and sisters were waiting for her , sadness evident on their faces.
One of the junior disciple held her hand, tears glimmering in their eyes.
" Don't go Senior sister , shifu said those words out of anger , give her a few days to calm down..."
Xuan hua shook her head, her voice soft " I have to leave, if I don't leave shifu can't regret . I am tired of trying to make her see sense "
" Senior sister..."
" Shhh " She rubbed the little child cheeks , before opening the gates. Down there was a stream of clouds and thunder, if her body survives the fall so be it , if it doesn't , so be it.
At the very worst , she would just lose her immortality.
She could remember when she was first brought to the palace. At that time she was but a little sparrow who was lucky to eat a divine fruit and accumulate good karma.
For six days, she tried to break though heaven barriers only to land in a random garden . It was that garden her senior brother, Taohua, had found her and brought her to shifu.
Shifu had given her enough spiritual energy to form her mortal body. At that time, shifu was kind and gentle not like the crazy goddess she was now.
If Taohua didn't want to become a god , if he had not incurred heavens wrath upon himself for love , would her shifu still have been the same as the past? would have everything have been going happily?
She laughed bitterly, everything was all according to fate , there were probably some gods who were watching this and snickering happily.
" Shifu.... take care of yourself"
She closed her eyes and jumped down.
On the top of the palace, the Jade Queen watched. With her raised lips , raised brows and folded hands , it seemed like she was enjoying the show.
"Shu hua may have a heart demon and partial nature towards Taohua, but she's also a sentimental person. The bird have been with her for almost a millennial, she should have some feelings left , Did she dismiss her clingy disciple on purpose?"
"Well you have been planning on killing that bird for killing your pet wolf during their annual god battles, perhaps she suspects and decided to chase her away before you attack" Fuxin mumbled as he flew beside her , he looked tired "Guayin when are you going to bed? I feel sleepy "Â
Jade Queen rolled her eyes, Fuxin and his hedonism; All his life revolves around is wine , Ladies and sleep.
As if Fuxin can hear her inner thoughts, his slight smile turned to a frown.
Jade Queen "Tsk ,I haven't even started talking and you're already getting angry"
"What will it take from you to be polite for once in your life?"
"The day you die?" She shrugged despite the twitching vein on his forehead "I have to act like I care about you , be sweet and gentle like Dalia lao"
His voice was cold "Don't bring her into this!"
Her voice was colder "She's my sister and I can do whatever the fuck I want with her name"
There was a thick silence before Fuxin let out a soft sigh.
"Guayin , you make me want to strangle you sometimes "
"Glad to know that , Fuxin "
If nuwa had just minded her business, she would have probably killed her father and be the ruler of their region. Now she's just stuck as a piece of ornament that a womanizing god takes out when he likes.
"Just because I hang out with other goddesses doesn't make me a womanizer , Since we got married, apart from you , I swear I have never slept with anyone else"
"Tsk" She shrugged her shoulders " The children in the mortal realm say another thing though"
His voice was calm "They are not my children"
"Dont you have something to do?"
Fuxin lips twitched but he let out a resigned sigh.
"Guayin âŚ"
"What?"
"Are you going to be around this evening?"
"I will, why ?"
"I told the kitchen to make mortal food, What do you want them to make?"
"Shrimps" She swallowed and stood upright, he was starting to influence her with his hedonism "Braised chicken too "
"Do you want rice with it?"
"No bread , lots of bread"
"Okay" He turned to leave "don't stay out too long."
Jade Queen seeing him stomping away , shrugged her shoulders and continued watching the children crying at the front of the gate.
The thunder bolt although was due to malicious intent , will not harm Taohua, rather help him with breaking his seal. That means Taohua was about to break his conciousness , He would soon emerge.
She put her hand in front of her , then she squeezed her fingers together before opening it.
She wondered how this lifetime will end , after all this was the last life , Taohua have to complete his punishment. Will he refuse to do it , like he had always done in every life ?
She stretched lightly and turn to leave.
