"He had a serious head injury, but we performed surgery. Mr. Viktor is out of danger now; however, it'll take some time before he wakes up," the doctor said.
"So when will he wake up? Don't you have any idea? You're a doctor, right?" I asked anxiously.
Even though the doctor didn't have an exact answer, I sighed in relief knowing Viktor was out of danger. He explained that Viktor's recovery would depend entirely on his will, if he wanted to wake, he would.
Me and my kids went to Viktor's room next. A bandage was wrapped around his head, and his hands were also covered in gauze. He looked pale but peaceful as he slept.
I gently took Viktor's hand and sat beside him. My kids sat on the bed, their little faces full of worry as they watched Viktor silently.
"Nico, Nilo… don't worry," I said softly. "Viktor is fine. He's just resting. He'll wake up soon, completely fine. So be brave and wait for him, okay?"
