Gabriel stared at unconscious Ariel before groaning.
"When is she supposed to be awake?" He asked his PA.
"Right about now" The PA replied looking up from his wrist watch.
Ariel groaned and squinted her eyes slowly. She looked around the wide white mansion before sitting up while holding her head.
"Where am I?" She asked herself looking around till her gaze met with Gabriel who was sitting on a chair at the dining.
"The hell?"
"Welcome" He said and she stood up.
"What do you mean by welcome? What am I doing here?" She asked him and he chuckled standing up as he took slow strides towards her.
"Have a glass of water first my dear to calm your nerves" He said and she stared the the glass of water before picking it up.
"You want me to drink this?"
"Yes. That medicine will make your body weak so you need to drink water to cool yourself down and to boost your energy" He said and she nodded before throwing the glass at him but he dodged.
The glass hit the wall and it shattered into pieces.
"You really think I'd be so stupid to drink the water?" She said and he chuckled.
"I guess you're smart then" He said and she rolled her eyes.
"Why am I here?" She asked.
"I brought you here so we could make a deal on something" He said and she scoffed.
"I'm making no deals with you" She said and wanted to leave but his bodyguard stepped forward.
"My dearest, listen to the deal. It'd keep you excited don't you worry" He said.
"Get to the point" She said facing him.
"Well, I want you to leave the school on a condition that I'd pay for your permanent trip to any country you want and I'd pay for your educational fees till you're done with school" He said and she wanted to speak but he added.
"I'm going to give you a cheque of 50 million dollars, I'd give you a car, a house and everything else you want. I just need you to leave the school" He said and she stared at him for a while before bursting into an uncontrollable laughter.
"You think I'd agree?" She asked admist her laughter.
"I can't take your stupid money. Even if you promise me the entire world, I won't leave the school neither will I leave the country so kindly rest sir" She said and pushed the bodyguard out of her way before walking to the exit.
"If you don't agree, I will kill Taylor" He said and she stopped on her tracks.
"Isn't that your adopted mother? I will kill her if you disagree" He said and she turned slowly to him.
"You wouldn't dare" She said and he chuckled.
"I definitely will if you don't cooperate" He said and she frowned.
"Don't hurt my mum" She said and the door flew open.
She turned and her eyes widened a bit when she saw Conrad.
"Conrad?! What are you doing here?" Ariel asked.
"Let her go" He said and five guards held him down.
"Stay out of this young child" Gabriel said and faced Ariel.
"So? What's your decision?" Gabriel asked.
"I'm not doing what you said. The only way to take me out of the country and the school is to kill me but you can't. A warning though, don't you dare hurt my mum else, you'd know what a young girl like me can do to an old man like you" She said and turned.
A click of the gun made her halt.
"I guess I'd have to kill you tonight" He said and she bit her lips looking at Conrad.
The lights switched off and the screaming of the guards was heard. The lights came on and Conrad was seen on his knees.
"Conrad" Ariel called and he looked up at her.
He didn't notice when Gabriel got hold of Ariel and he tightened his fists.
"Let her go" Conrad said standing up.
"No I won't. Stay back else I'd hurt her" He said and Conrad smirked.
"Ignis Eximius, Manus Tenet"
(Exceptional fire, hand hold!)
Ariel unconsciously muttered and the gun caught on fire.
"The hell?!" He yelled and pushed Ariel to the ground throwing the gun away.
"How did that happen?" Ariel asked and looked at the gun which was burning profusely.
"Let's go Ariel" Conrad and she went to meet him. He held her hand and they left the mansion together. He turned and walked back into the mansion.
"What do you want?" Gabriel asked.
"There's one thing I don't play with and that's something that's mine. You see that girl over there, don't you dare touch her cos the next time you do, I won't take it easy with you" He said and Gabriel chuckled.
"What can a little kid do to me?" He asked.
"For your information, I'm not little and I'd prove to you never to underestimate someone like me" He said and left the mansion.
They saw Ashley and Logan just coming and Ariel smiled.
"Ashley" Ariel called and Ashley ran towards her giving her a tight hug.
"I was scared" Ashley muttered and Ariel broke the hug.
"Ariel!" Logan called and she looked at him. He walked over to them and pulled Ariel in for a hug. Her eyes widened a bit and she looked at Conrad who was already walking to the car.
She patted his back before breaking the hug.
"You're okay, he didn't hurt you right?" He asked and she nodded.
"That's good. Had it been he did, I would have ended him":Logan said.
"Let's go back to the car. It's getting late" Ashley said and Ariel nodded.
They turned to the cab and saw the cab man standing outside.
"What happened to your car?" Logan asked the cab driver.
"The guy with you guys threw me out of it and drove off" He explained and Logan kept shut staring into space.
"What's up with him?" Ashley asked.
"I have no idea" Ariel muttered.
"Let's get another cab so we can get back to school before the principal finds out we left" Logan said and they nodded.
They saw a cab coming and they hailed it. After telling the driver the location they were going to, they got in and it drove off immediately.
Gabriel walked out of his mansion and stared at the cab driving off.

They alighted from the cab and walked into the school.
"Good night. Thanks and tell Conrad I said thanks for helping me" Ariel said with a smile.
"I will" Logan said and entered his room.
Ariel and Ashley entered theirs as well and they locked it before settling down on the bed.
"I'm going to shower" Ariel said and stood going into the restroom.
She stared at herself in the mirror and ran her fingers through her hair. Her eyes glowed red and she moved backwards with a gasp hitting her back on some hair tools making it fall to the ground.
"Ariel?" Ashley called rushing to the door.
"Are you okay?" She asked.
"Urm yeah" Ariel said and walked slowly to the mirror. She stared at her eyes which were back to normal before sighing.
"What's wrong with me?" She asked herself before stripping herself. She went under the shower.
