Ariel got to the rooftop and stood at the rails before screaming out...
She breath out when she was done and placed her hand on the rail resting her head on the arm.
"What's wrong?" Conrad asked and she looked to the right and saw Conrad standing up from the wood he was sitting on.
"Nothing" Ariel said and turned to go but he stopped her.
"I hate asking more than once. What's wrong?" Conrad asked and she sighed sitting down on the ground folding her legs.
"Nothing. My head is just aching" She said touching her injured forehead. The injury has gone though.
"Why should it be aching?"
"What kind of question is that?!"
"You can't answer it meaning you're lying and I hate lies so I pardon you for today" He said and she scoffed standing up.
"It's that Kimberly girl. I don't like her. I find her pretty weird and it feels like she knows me cos she keeps giving me some deadly glares" She said and he stepped closer making her step back.
"That's why you screamed?" He asked taking another step.
"Yes" She said stepping back again only for her back to hit the rails.
"You screamed because she's weird or because she said she likes me?" He asked with an arched brow stepping forward again and she leaned back. He placed a hand on the rails leaning closer to her their nose brushing.
"Answer" He said and she gulped.
"I'd fall" She said turning her face away from him.
"You won't as long as I'm here" He said and she blinked turning her face to him. Her lips brushed his nose and she bit her lips looking at his lips.
"I can't keep staying like this, I'd fall" She said looking straight into his blue eyes.
"Your mum is in danger" He said and her eyes widened.
"What?" She asked and he stood straight pulling her with him. His hands went to her waist while her hands were on his chest.
She blinked before stepping back from him.
"What do you mean my mother is in danger?" She asked and he gave her a stare.
"I'd call her" She said and brought out her phone dialling her mum's number.
The number rang for a while before the phone was answered.
~ "Hello mum"
~ "This isn't your mum this is Windy, your mum's PA"
~ "Where's my mum?"
~ "Miss Taylor was kidnapped on our way going for a meeting. We contacted the police and now they're searching for her."
~ "Have they gotten any news about her whereabouts?"
~ "No. I'm so scared, what if they hurt her?"
~ "My mum will be fine just have hope" Ariel said and blinked back her tears.
~ "Keep me updated if you find out anything about her whereabouts"
~ "Sure" Windy said and Ariel ended the call.
She pocketed her phone looking at Conrad.
"She was kidnapped" Ariel said.
"Who's your suspect?" He asked and she recalled Gabriel's words.
"I'd hurt your mother!"
"Gabriel!"
"What do you want to do?" He asked and she wiped her tears.
"I'd go back to the private mansion and accept his offer. I can't loose my mum because of this school"
"Okay. Let's go" He said and she smiled sadly wondering why he agreed. He should have thought of a plan so she wouldn't leave buh he didn't which made her smile drop.
Her phone rang and she took it out of her pocket staring at the unknown caller.
"Who's it?" He asked and she faced him.
"Unknown"
"Pick it up" He said and she did so.
~ "Hello Ariel" Gabriel said.
~ "Where is my mother?" Ariel asked calmly.
~ "She's in safe hands don't you worry. I won't kill her if you think that's what I'd do"
~ "Then why did you kidnap her?"
~ "To prove to you that I mean business. Come to a private warehouse in Crust's street. Come alone Ariel else I'd kill her" He said and Ariel gulped.
~ "Don't you show yourself here Ariel. Don't come Ariel, please. I'd get myself out of here just ignore him"
~ "Mummy" Ariel called tears welling up in her eyes.
~ "Shut her up" She heard Gabriel say and a punch flew to her jaw.
~ "Mummy!! What are you guys doing to her?!!" Ariel yelled and Gabriel smirked.
~ "Come this evening by 6pm. Come alone" He said and ended the call.
Ariel squatted to the ground closing her mouth.
"Ariel" Conrad said pulling her up.
"Your mum will be okay" He said and she shook her head.
"This is all my fault. I should have agreed to what he told me. I should have listened when he said he would hurt her. I should have listened Conrad. I should have listened" She said sniffing.
"If your mum heard this, she wouldn't be happy. You chose dignity over money and you're regretting?" He asked and she looked elsewhere sniffing.
"We are going to save your mum and when we do, your mum won't want you to leave. Instead, she would want you to keep fighting and prove to them that they can't make you leave the school. But if you leave, it means they won. Would you like that?" He asked and she wiped her tears looking at Conrad.
"What about you, do you want me to leave?" She asked taking her teary eyes to his eyes.
"No" he said and she blinked before looking down.
"Can I just urm...hug you?" She asked playing with her hair and he stepped forward making her look up. She stood on her toes wrapping her hands around his neck while his hands stayed on her back and waist.
"Thank you" She said and bit her lips when she remembered that he won't reply.
"My pleasure" He said and her eyes widened. She broke the hug and smiled before wiping her tears completely.
"You're right. But then he said I shouldn't come with anyone." She said and he smirked.
"I'm not anyone. I'm Conrad" He said and she chuckled.
"Let's go save your mum"

"Is this how desperate you want my daughter out of the school?" Taylor asked spitting out blood and Gabriel looked at her.
"Your daughter is a pain in my neck and I need her out of the country. If I can't accomplish that plan of mine, then I'd kill her in your presence" He said and Taylor chuckled.
"You and I know where she came from. She is the daughter of Haisely Chen and Johnny Chen. You know how Haisely was. Even at the point of death, she never let the enemy win. And you think Ariel will let you win?" Taylor asked with a mocking smile.
"Haisely rose that girl up to be brave, bold and smart. To bring her down, you must sweat uncontrollably and even at that, you won't win so rest" She said and Gabriel folded his fists tightly.
"Ohh did I forget? Johnny, a humble and quiet man. But let's not forget, he is very dangerous. She gat that side of him too, don't let her unleash it" Taylor said and laughed.
The door opened and they turned.
"I'm here" Ariel said with a dangerous smirk playing on her lips.
A sweat rolled down Gabriel's spine.
