Chapter 86 - Chapter 86 Holy Light!!!

Courage!

While absorbing Tyr's power, Gale analyzed its structure.

He found Arcane power within it, and after removing the Arcane power, he saw a completely new energy. It glowed and bore some resemblance to the divine magic cast by the Priests.

Based on his world of warcraft experience, Gale easily determined this power to be—

Holy Light!!!

Gale suddenly realized, no wonder Tyr's power gave people courage; it was entirely the Holy Light at work.

As one of the six primal forces of world of warcraft, the power of Holy Light is the most formidable. It can forcibly alter the attributes of an object, including the will of living beings. Creatures that wield the power of Holy Light become fearless, and most of the time, this fearlessness is what is called courage.

Generally speaking, Holy Light is disseminated by the Naaru. The Eredar of Argus, for example, only learned Holy Light after encountering the Naaru. The warriors from countless worlds collected by X'era's Army of the Light also learned Holy Light after encountering the Naaru.

Only Azeroth is an exception. This world has no Naaru, so by rights, there should be no contact with Holy Light.

But the opposite is true; not only does the world of Azeroth have Holy Light, but multiple races use it. Humans, Elves, Tauren, and so on, even Murlocs can use Holy Light.

Now, Gale knew why humans used Holy Light.

Tyr's power was mixed with Holy Light, and with tens of thousands of years of accumulated influence, even a slime monster could learn how to use Holy Light.

Gale speculated that the Elves' use of Holy Light might be related to Elune.

Legend has it that the Naaru were created by Elune. This legend might be unreliable, but the divine magic used by Elune's Priests also contained Holy Light. However, Elune is after all the Moon Goddess, so she disguised it, blending Holy Light with Arcane and life forces.

This is why Gale had seen Maiev and her companions use divine magic many times without ever thinking of Holy Light. Elune's divine magic uses the power of moonlight and starlight, which are variations of Arcane magic and have nothing to do with Holy Light.

But in reality, Arcane variations of moonlight and starlight shouldn't include healing spells. Yet, moonlight can heal, and the Moonwells formed from it also possess healing abilities. This clearly involves Holy Light or life force. Considering the white color of moonlight, it doesn't match the yellow of Holy Light or the green of life.

What if Holy Light, life, and Arcane were mixed together?

Yellow + Green + Purple = ?

Gale extracted a wisp of Holy Light from Tyr's power, studied it for a while, and then absorbed it into his body. This wisp of Holy Light was too small, and Gale feared it would be difficult to collect if he used it.

When he was promoted to Archmage, many "acupuncture points" were abandoned due to limited space. This time, he could use one to store this wisp of Holy Light. Considering that Holy Light might be related to Aggramar, he found a relatively larger "acupuncture point" on his left hand and incorporated the Holy Light into it.

Upon entering the "acupuncture point," the Holy Light immediately connected with Aggramar's Shield. Although Gale didn't understand the principle, he was certain that the titan runes on Aggramar's Shield could also be activated using Holy Light.

Perhaps Aggramar was a Titan who used both Arcane and Holy Light.

The world of warcraft's cosmic six primal forces theory classifies the Titans into the Order faction, primarily using Arcane magic. However, the Titans' power is not limited to Arcane; Aeon, known as the Life-Binder, actually leans more towards the life faction. According to this, the six primal forces theory cannot explain itself.

The life faction, the demigods who use nature magic, are the subordinates of Freya, Aeon's representative. They are not only two levels below the Titans in rank but also fraught with contradictions in faction alignment.

Gale opened his eyes. He didn't understand the game's settings, but if it truly became a real world, trying to understand it through the six primal forces would lead to a very tragic demise.

Solidan respectfully asked, "Archmage Gale, what was that radiance that just emanated from you? I seem to have felt Tyr's power."

"This is Holy Light!"

Gale extended his hand, and the wisp of Holy Light appeared in his palm.

Solidan knelt on one knee, gazing reverently at the wisp of Holy Light, "Tyr, is this your radiance?"

The Holy Light trembled slightly, which stirred something within Gale. He released his hold on the Holy Light, and the wisp slowly floated up, drifting towards Solidan.

Solidan stared blankly as the Holy Light approached, a mix of surprise and inquiry on his face.

The Holy Light touched Solidan's forehead and slowly merged into his body.

"Boom—"

A pillar of Holy Light shot into the sky, and Solidan involuntarily stood up. In that instant, he seemed to transform into a golden giant. Holy Light filled his entire body, and Gale felt that Solidan's power now far surpassed his own.

This made Gale a little jealous. He had worked hard for nearly ten years to become an Archmage. This guy, however, surpassed him in an instant. Was this the talent of a Titan construct? Or was Tyr "haunting" them, still wanting to protect these deformed Vrykul even after his death?

Solidan closed his eyes, feeling the abundant power within him. That immense power also attracted the other Vrykul, who looked at Solidan in astonishment, discussing it animatedly.

Some Vrykul directly asked Solidan what had happened.

But Solidan seemed not to hear them. He stood there for three days and three nights. Just as all the Vrykul were growing anxious, Solidan opened his eyes.

He looked at the surrounding Vrykul, "This Holy Light is Tyr's power. Tyr has always been protecting us."

The Vrykul exclaimed, "Tyr?"

"Great Tyr!"

"Our Guardian!"

Many Vrykul couldn't believe that Tyr was still protecting them after his death. But seeing the Holy Light on Solidan, which was indeed the power they felt when they worshipped Tyr, they couldn't help but believe.

Solidan stopped their arguments, "Quiet!"

All the Vrykul looked at Solidan.

"The reason I was able to receive Tyr's power is entirely due to this Elf's help. You must remember that Gale is our eternal friend."

The Vrykul pounded their chests and bowed to Gale.

Gale returned the bow, "This is all Tyr's will."

Solidan said, "That's right! This is indeed Tyr's will. I have received Tyr's directive: beneath his tomb, a demon is suppressed. Tyr granted me power to purify that demon. Therefore, I have decided to obey Tyr's will."

The Vrykul looked at each other; they felt as if Solidan was saying goodbye.

Indeed, Solidan said, "I am not entirely confident, so you must prepare to leave this place and live outside. If I fail, you must live on well."

"Solidan!!!"

Everyone spoke up, trying to stop him.

Solidan waved his hand, "Have you forgotten? Tyr chose to sacrifice himself for us, and now—"

"It is also my choice!"
