The students were having a mixed experience in battle.The less powerful students were struggling whilst the stronger ones were holding their own.
Leah Astruge was a young dark elf with a powerful bloodline.Leah and her brother Elhial were now fighting for their lives in a battle that never should have been so difficult.
They were shocked when the first human had deactivated its invisibility.That should have been the biggest sign that something was wrong.Then the other humans appeared and showcased a wide range of abilities.
Leah and her brother had only taken this task to earn merit points as well as blood essence to refine their bloodlines in cultivation.They were currently battling a human calling herself Katarina.
At least they were certain she was a she.The name sounded feminine.The human was using hit and run tactics using her teleportation to hit the weak points in their formation.She was one of the stronger ones but they might have been able to gang up on her if she was alone.The problem was she wasn't alone.
Leah was continuously sending out small amounts of shadow duplicates of herself to ease the pressure on her classmates.These shadow duplicates would take fatal blows for her classmates whilst others would attack the humans.
The young lizardman named Drax was also trying to help by spitting acid at any humans who got too close.A young troll named Phox would use his regeneration and flesh manipulation abilities to engage any humans that got too close to the formation.
The problem was that the humans had a strong healer.The one that made his hands glow and healed all the injuries on his compatriots.He was the main reason that they would be unable to win a battle of attrition.
"You ought to give up.I may be able to grant you a quick death if you just stopped struggling." Katarina continued to taunt the students whose morale was slowly declining.
"Never and besides...aren't you getting ahead of yourselves...you haven't killed one of us yet."
Drax attempted to uplift their morale but Katarinas next words ruined it further.
"Hmmmm is that right...then perhaps...we should get more people involved...Raegan,Charlie,Seraphina,John its about time you helped out." At her words four more humans appeared from the forest.
The worst part was that two of these humans had a presence just as strong as Katarina and the human fighting Radway.
"Sorry we were just observing their capabilities and besides you had things under control." Raegan spoke up to which Katarina snorted.
"Well it's taking a bit too long to kill them so do help out with that so we can help Joshua or Arther."
"Rrrrraaaaaaggggghhhh"
This sound caught everyone's attention including the humans who were surprised by it.The sound had come from Joshua and Radways battle.

Joshua had activated the epic rank berserker rage skill.The second he activated it his body felt like it was fueled by hellfire and affected by all consuming rage.His eyes went bloodshot and a vicious snarl eclipsed his face.He had wanted to try his new skill but he didn't know it would make him feel like this.
He let go of his spear.He didn't even want to stab Radway...no...he wanted to pummel and rip him to shreds with his bare hands.Radway scoffed at Joshua's action and was about to make a comment about his foolishness when he felt a fist indenting itself into his scaly face.
Radway was sent flying back but was stopped by Joshua who had grabbed his arm and landed an unstoppable uppercut into his gut.Radway was sent flying into the air vomiting blood and in a daze.He simply couldn't believe what was happening.
Was this the so called epic rank berserker rage skill.Who knew it would make such a difference.At first Radway thought the ability had simply turned the human feral but this proved otherwise.
When Radway finally landed on the ground Joshua jumped onto his body and began stomping down.Spit was flying out of his mouth as he was making the sounds of a wild beast.His rage had completely consumed him.
Radway was about to beg for mercy when he felt pressure on his throat.He looked down to see that the human was biting his throat out.Radway wondered how his life wound up so wrong to wind up in a situation like this.
A tearing sound was audible to everyone as Joshua bit a large chunk out of Radways throat.Blood erupted from Radways ruined neck as his eyes went dull and he died due to blood loss.
