Miranda stood with her arms crossed defensively, her body language screaming tension while her face remained carefully composed. Clara shifted uncomfortably, her expression carrying the unmistakable weight of guilt.
The moment Clara caught sight of him, she straightened abruptly, opening her mouth to speak, but Nolan cut her off with a firm shake of his head. "Don't," he commanded.
