“Miranda,” Ben acknowledged with a brief nod before heading toward Nolan’s office. “Is he available?”
She gave a quick nod, pressing the intercom button. “Nolan, Ben is here to see you.”
“Send him in,” Nolan’s voice crackled through the speaker.
Miranda gestured him forward, her eyes following as he vanished behind the heavy office door. Something was brewing. Ben had been making these visits far too frequently lately. The curiosity gnawed at her, but she forced herself to focus on her computer screen. She absolutely would not let her mind wander to this weekend’s plans.
Nolan settled back into his leather chair, his piercing gaze fixed on his security chief. “Any developments on our financial leak?”
Ben gave a slight shake of his head. “No new transactions yet, but the moment they make another move, we’ll have them. Everything’s set.”
Nolan’s jaw clenched visibly. “The thought of someone bleeding my accounts makes my skin crawl.”
