I was staring at the broken artwork. At this point, my body was already basically shaking because I knew that whatever amount that sculpture would cost, I would not be able to afford it.
"Are you okay, ma'am?" the bodyguard said to me as he rushed over to my side.
"No, yes, I mean no. I only wanted to touch it, and it fell down. I did not intentionally push it, I swear." I tried to explain to him, but instead he held my hands and began to lead me back in the direction that we came.
A lot of things were running through my mind as I wondered how much I was going to spend paying for that. The most fearful part was how I was going to face him and listen to him blame me over again for not listening to his words about staying inside like he asked me to.
When we got back into the living room, I walked in and sat on the couch, my two hands wrapped around my body as I stared at the bodyguard, who stood some steps away speaking into the phone.
