A part of me almost melted when I felt the strange teeth touching and piercing my neck. There was no injury when I touched the area, but I could swear that I almost felt it go deeper.
Sitting there again before him, I was very scared. His personality was terrifying, and his actions made me tremble. Lately I was thinking that I was being punished by fate.
"I mean, since I got here, it's been only you living in such a large house. Don't you have a family?" I asked him.
I noticed his reaction when I first asked the question; he seemed immediately uncomfortable and unsettled. However, I wanted to talk about something else other than the pregnancy and the fear of birthing the child.
Instead of responding, he stood up slowly without saying a word to me and turned to walk away, but I unconsciously called out to him, and I instantly wished that I didn't.
