"AND WE'RE BACK, PEOPLE!" Present Mic's voice roared, bringing the stadium back to life. "AFTER A FIRST ROUND FILLED WITH SHOCKING VICTORIES AND HEART-STOPPING ACTION, IT'S TIME TO KICK OFF THE QUARTER-FINALS! ARE YOU READY?!"

The crowd responded with a deafening cheer.

"OUR FIRST MATCH OF THE SECOND ROUND IS A BATTLE BETWEEN TWO OF CLASS 1-A'S HEAVY HITTERS! IN THIS CORNER, THE MAN WHOSE MANLINESS IS AS UNBREAKABLE AS HIS SKIN, EIJIRO KIRISHIMA!"

Kirishima walked onto the stage, a wide, toothy grin on his face as he slammed his fists together.

"AND IN THE OTHER CORNER, THE UNDISPUTED KING OF THE FIRST YEAR STAGE! HE'S FAST, HE'S POWERFUL, AND HE HASN'T EVEN BROKEN A SWEAT YET! GIVE IT UP FOR AKAZAAAAA!"

Akaza walked calmly onto the stage, his expression neutral. He gave Kirishima a respectful nod.

"Let's have a good fight, man!" Kirishima yelled, his body already starting to harden.

"You too," Akaza replied.

"LET THE FIRST QUARTER-FINAL MATCH… BEGIN!"

Kirishima didn't waste a second. He charged forward, his entire body hardened to its maximum limit, his fist cocked back for a powerful right hook. "RED RIOT UNBREAKABLE!"

"AND KIRISHIMA CHARGES IN! HE'S GOING FOR A HEAD-ON ASSAULT! A BOLD MOVE AGAINST AN OPPONENT LIKE AKAZA!"

"It's his only move," Aizawa said flatly. "He's banking on his defense being strong enough to withstand a counter and land a solid hit. A simple but valid strategy."

Kirishima closed the distance, his punch aimed straight for Akaza's head. But just as the hardened fist was about to connect, Akaza vanished.

Shock Pulse: Soru.

He reappeared behind Kirishima in an instant. The red-haired hero's eyes went wide with shock, his momentum carrying him forward into empty air. Before he could turn, he felt a hand grip the back of his collar and another seize the waistband of his pants.

"WHOA! HE'S GONE! AKAZA IS TOO FAST! KIRISHIMA CAN'T EVEN TRACK HIM!"

With a grunt of effort that seemed almost casual, Akaza lifted the surprisingly heavy Kirishima off the ground. Kirishima struggled, his hardened limbs flailing, but he couldn't break the grip. Akaza took two steps and simply dropped him outside the white line of the ring.

"Kirishima is out of bounds! The winner is Akaza!" Midnight declared.

The stadium was silent for a beat, then erupted.

"ASTOUNDING! AKAZA DIDN'T EVEN THROW A PUNCH! HE WON WITH PURE, UNADULTERATED SPEED AND STRENGTH! HE IS ON A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT LEVEL!"

Akaza helped a stunned Kirishima to his feet. "You're strong," Akaza said. "If you'd hit me, it would've hurt."

Kirishima just stared, then a grin broke out on his face. "Damn, man! I'll get you next time!"

Akaza returned to the Class 1-A viewing area to a round of applause. Rumi immediately smacked him on the arm.

"Show off," she said, though she was grinning. "You could've at least pretended to struggle."

"Where's the fun in that?" he retorted, taking a seat beside her. He leaned in and whispered, "Besides, I have to save my energy for the finals against a certain rabbit."

Rumi's ears twitched, and she elbowed him in the ribs, a faint blush on her cheeks.

"ALRIGHT, FOLKS, LET'S KEEP THE HYPE TRAIN ROLLING! OUR NEXT MATCH IS ONE FOR THE AGES! IT'S THE SON OF THE NUMBER TWO HERO, THE ICY PRINCE OF U.A., SHOTO TODOROKI! VERSUS THE KID WITH A HEART OF GOLD, IZUKU MIDORIYA!"

The atmosphere in the stadium shifted. This was the match everyone had been waiting for.

"BEGIN!"

Todoroki started immediately, sending a massive wave of ice surging towards Midoriya. It was the same opening move he'd used all day. Midoriya, anticipating it, flicked his finger. Delaware Smash! The compressed air shattered the glacier into a thousand pieces.

But Todoroki was ready. The moment his ice broke, he unleashed a blast of fire from his left hand, not at Midoriya, but at the cloud of ice shards. The intense heat instantly flash-vaporized the ice, creating a thick, blinding cloud of steam that enveloped the entire stage.

"A BRILLIANT COMBINATION! TODOROKI IS USING HIS FIRE AND ICE TO CREATE A SMOKESCREEN! MIDORIYA IS COMPLETELY BLINDED!"

Midoriya, unable to see, fired off two more Smashes into the fog, but they hit nothing. Through the steam, another ice wave shot out, and he was forced to break another finger to destroy it. He was wasting his limited power.

The battle continued in this vein, a brutal war of attrition. Midoriya kept breaking his fingers to counter the relentless ice attacks, while Todoroki refused to use his flames for a direct assault. The green-haired boy's hand was a mangled, purple mess.

Finally, seeing Midoriya brace himself for another attack, battered but refusing to fall, Todoroki felt a surge of frustration. This was a hollow victory, a battle fought on terms still dictated by his father's shadow. Akaza's words from the waiting room echoed in his mind: 'That power isn't his... It's yours, Todoroki. You decide what to do with it.'

The thought struck Todoroki like a physical blow. A memory of his mother, crying, telling him he could be the hero he wanted to be, flashed through his mind. And then, something snapped.

A massive explosion of orange flame erupted from his left side, melting the remaining ice on the field and sending a wave of heat through the stadium. For the first time, Shoto Todoroki was smiling.

"INCREDIBLE! TODOROKI HAS UNLEASHED HIS FLAMES FULLY! WE ARE WITNESSING A PIVOTAL MOMENT, PEOPLE!"

In the stands, Endeavor, who had been watching with a stoic scowl, suddenly roared with triumphant laughter. "SHOTO! YES! FINALLY! YOU HAVE FINALLY ACCEPTED YOUR PURPOSE! NOW, GO! SURPASS ME AND FULFILL MY AMBITION!" His voice boomed, a declaration of victory that sent nearby spectators scrambling away.

Both boys on the field prepared for one final, cataclysmic attack. A vortex of fire and a pillar of ice gathered around Todoroki. Midoriya poured all the remaining power of One For All into his shattered arm. They charged. The resulting explosion was immense, shaking the entire stadium to its foundations.

When the smoke cleared, Midoriya was slumped against the wall of the tunnel, unconscious, his arm broken beyond recognition. Todoroki stood on the stage, his shirt torn, but victorious. He looked down at his steaming left hand, then his frosty right. This is my power, he thought, a newfound clarity cutting through years of resentment. Mine.

Up in the viewing area, Rumi let out a low whistle. "Damn. That was intense."

Akaza didn't say anything. He just watched Todoroki with a small, almost unnoticeable smile. He had finally chosen to live for himself. Good.

"AFTER A BATTLE THAT LITERALLY SHOOK THE ARENA, TODOROKI ADVANCES! LET'S HOPE OUR NEXT FIGHTERS LEFT SOME OF THE STAGE INTACT!"

"UP NEXT, THE THORNY MAIDEN FROM CLASS 1-B, IBARA SHIOZAKI! VERSUS THE LIGHTNING-FAST KICKING QUEEN OF 1-A, RUMI USAGIYAMA!"

Rumi bounced on the balls of her feet, a feral grin on her face. Ibara stood serenely, her hands clasped as if in prayer.

"BEGIN!"

Ibara's vine-like hair shot out, covering the stage in a web of thorny tendrils, aiming to ensnare Rumi from all directions. But Rumi was already moving. With a burst of Soru, she became a white blur, easily weaving between the vines.

The fight became a dance. Ibara would send waves of vines, creating walls and whips, trying to trap her. Rumi would dodge, her movements impossibly fast, appearing in the gaps in Ibara's defense for a split second before vanishing again.

"USAGIYAMA IS TOO FAST! SHIOZAKI'S VINES CAN'T CATCH HER! IT'S A STALEMATE!"

"Shiozaki is trying to limit her opponent's space," Aizawa analyzed. "But Usagiyama doesn't need much space to move."

For a full minute, this continued. Then, Ibara made a slight error. Focusing too much on a frontal assault, she left a small, momentary opening to her right flank. It was all Rumi needed.

She used Soru one last time, appearing at Ibara's side. Before the vine-haired girl could react, Rumi's leg shot out in a powerful roundhouse kick that connected squarely with her torso, sending her flying out of the ring.

"Shiozaki is out of bounds! The winner is Rumi Usagiyama!"

The crowd cheers followed. The loudest came from the Usagiyama family and the orphanage squad.

"AND FOR OUR FINAL QUARTER-FINAL MATCH! IT'S THE MAN WITH A THOUSAND EYES AND ARMS, MEZO SHOJI! VERSUS THE HUMAN EXPLOSION, KATSUKI BAKUGO!"

Shoji started by creating a shield of webbed arms, a defensive posture. Bakugo just grinned.

"Hiding, are you?!" he roared, blasting forward.

The match was a one-sided assault. Bakugo unleashed a relentless barrage of explosions, forcing Shoji onto the back foot. Shoji's defense was impressive, blocking and absorbing many of the blasts, but he couldn't find an opening to counterattack. Bakugo's aerial mobility and the sheer force of his explosions were too much. Finally, with a massive Howitzer Impact, Bakugo blasted through Shoji's guard, sending him tumbling out of the ring.

"AND BAKUGO TAKES THE WIN! OUR SEMI-FINALISTS ARE DECIDED! GET READY FOR A CLASH OF TITANS, FOLKS!"
