The atmosphere in Class 1-A's homeroom was a stark contrast to the previous day's exhaustion. A noticeable buzz of anticipation filled the air as the students, now rested and recovered, chattered excitedly about their internship offers. At the front of the room, Midnight stood with a stack of whiteboards, a playful glint in her eyes.

"Alright, settle down, you future superstars!" she called out, cracking her whip for emphasis, the sound sharp and final. "Before you can head out on your internships, you need something very important. A codename! You need hero names!"

The class erupted in a fresh wave of excitement, the nervous energy of the festival replaced by the creative thrill of forging their new identities.

"This is a very serious decision," she continued, her tone shifting, commanding their full attention. "The name you choose today could be the name you're known by for the rest of your lives! It will define your image and your brand as a pro. A name that sounds cool now might seem ridiculous in ten years. So, think carefully!"

She passed out the whiteboards and markers. For the next fifteen minutes, the room was filled with the sounds of intense scribbling, the squeak of markers, the frustrated sighs of erasure, and quiet, mumbled contemplation.

"Okay, time's up!" Midnight announced. "Let's see what you've come with! Who wants to present first?"

As if launched from a spring, Yuga Aoyama practically floated to the front, striking a dramatic pose that involved one hand on his hip and the other gesturing towards the heavens. He held up his board, on which was written in elegant, looping script: "I cannot stop twinkling."

"It means, 'I'll never stop sparkling'!" he declared with a flourish, a beam of light glinting off his belt buckle.

Midnight's smile twitched. "It would be better to take out the 'I' and shorten the 'cannot' to 'can't'…"

"You're right, mademoiselle!" he said, completely accepting the feedback as if it were a profound revelation. He returned to his seat, a new, slightly less grammatical hero name in mind.

One by one, the students presented. Mina Ashido confidently declared herself "Alien Queen," only for Midnight to gently veto it due to the potential horror movie connotations, suggesting she think of something more heroic. Tsuyu Asui, with a simple nod, presented the straightforward and fitting "Rainy Season Hero: Froppy," which earned a warm round of applause for its charm. Kirishima, with a manly tear glistening in his eye, slammed his board down proudly. "Sturdy Hero: Red Riot," he announced, a tribute to his idol, Crimson Riot, that resonated with his straightforward, passionate personality.

The presentations continued, a mix of the serious and the silly. Then, it was Rumi's turn. She walked to the front, her usual boundless energy tempered by a rare, serious expression. She stood before the class, her posture straight, her gaze unwavering. She turned her board to the class, revealing a name written in clean, strong letters.

"The Rabbit Hero: Mirko."

The name landed with a quiet impact. It was simple, strong, and memorable. There was a sense of history to it, a weight that the other, more flamboyant names lacked.

"Oh, that's a wonderful name, Usagiyama!" Midnight praised, her voice soft with approval. "It has a great ring to it. It's heroic and easy to remember."

Rumi smiled, a soft, genuine expression that transformed her face. "It was inspired my mother's name, Miriko" she said, her voice clear and proud, ringing with conviction. "She was the strongest person I ever knew. I want to be a hero who can live up to the name she gave me. Plus, I can't take on my dad's name."

A wave of respect washed over the classroom. No one made a sound. Akaza watched her, a look of immense pride on his face. He knew how much her family meant to her, and he knew Rumi had chosen the perfect name. This wasn't just a codename to her; it was a legacy she was choosing to carry on her own shoulders.

Finally, it was Akaza's turn. He walked to the front, the class falling completely silent in anticipation. The boy who had dominated the festival, who moved with an almost unnerving calm, was about to define himself. He turned his board around, revealing a single, powerful word written in bold, sharp, calligraphic strokes.

"Asura."

A collective, sharp intake of breath went through the students. The name felt… heavy. It was dark, ancient, and undeniably powerful. It didn't sound like a hero from a comic book; it sounded like a legend from a myth, and not necessarily a friendly one.

Midnight looked at the board, her playful demeanor gone, replaced by a thoughtful, almost cautionary frown. "Asura…" she repeated softly, testing the weight of the word on her tongue. "The demigods of myth, known for their endless battle and immense power. Beings of conflict. That's… quite an intense name, Akaza. It can be seen as intimidating, even villainous. Can you tell us why you chose it?"

Akaza met her gaze, his black eyes steady and unblinking. "My quirk is called Battle God. It thrives on conflict and grows stronger through battle. Asuras are beings who are defined by their fight." He paused, his gaze sweeping over his classmates. "It fits."

His explanation was short, direct, and left no room for argument. The name wasn't a boast; it was a statement of fact. It was an acknowledgment of the nature he had been given in this life, a nature he had no intention of denying.

Midnight stared at him for a long moment, seeing the absolute conviction in his eyes. Then, a slow, impressed smile spread across her face. "I see. It's a name that carries a lot of weight, and it will certainly be a challenge to make it heroic. But you've certainly shown you have the power to back it up. I approve. The Battle Hero: Asura."

With the hero names decided, Aizawa shuffled back into the room. "Now for the internships," he announced, the tone shifting back to business. "You have your lists. You have until the end of the day to submit your choice. Make it a wise one. This experience will be invaluable."

The classroom once again filled with chatter, this time more serious as students huddled together, comparing offers and asking for advice.

"I'm going with Gunhead!" Uraraka announced with determination. "His agency has a great reputation for combat training. I need to get stronger!"

"I have received an offer from the Manual agency in Hosu City," Iida said, his expression grim. "I believe I will accept it." The unsaid reason hung in the air: his brother, Ingenium, had been attacked by the Hero Killer, Stain, in that very city.

The discussions continued. Bakugo grumbled about his offer from Best Jeanist, while Kirishima was ecstatic to be heading to Fourth Kind's agency.

"Who'd you pick, Rumi?" Mina asked, leaning over her desk.

Rumi grinned, her competitive fire back in her eyes. "It was a no-brainer. I'm going with the current Number Two Hero. I got an offer from Endeavor's agency."

The casual announcement sent a shockwave through the nearby students. Interning with the notoriously harsh and demanding Flame Hero was a bold choice.

"Endeavor?!" Sero gasped. "Dude, I hear his sidekicks cry themselves to sleep."

"Good," Rumi shot back, her grin widening. "If it's not the toughest place to be, what's the point? I'm going to the top, and that means learning from the best."

Her logic was simple and unshakable. Her gaze drifted to Akaza, a silent challenge in her eyes.

"What about you, Akaza?" Kirishima asked, turning to him. "With over six thousand offers, you could probably intern with All Might himself if you wanted!"

Akaza shook his head. "All Might doesn't take on interns, and besides, I've already made my choice. I received a… specialized offer."

He didn't elaborate, but the finality in his tone stopped any further questions. He was going to intern with Nezu. The mission was already set. While his classmates would be learning patrols and police procedure, he would be learning how to hunt.
