Chapter 1 - 1: The Manga Shop in Mondstadt

Teyvat Continent.

In a secluded alley in Mondstadt, a small manga shop quietly opened its doors. A wooden sign hung above the entrance, reading "Worries Relieving Bookhouse."

The shop's interior was exquisitely decorated, featuring a modern aesthetic. The building had two levels: the upper floor was for living quarters, while the lower floor served as the shop front.

"Finally open for business. Now it's just a matter of waiting for customers."

After finishing all the preparations, Han Feng leaned back in his chair and leisurely brewed himself a cup of black tea.

Truth be told, he was a transmigrator.

Three days ago, after a late-night Genshin grind, he woke up to find himself in the world of Teyvat.

After confirming the reality of it, Han Feng calmed down surprisingly quickly.

After all, Teyvat was a world brimming with elemental power. The wilderness was teeming with danger—Hilichurls and members of the Abyss Order lurked everywhere. Even inside the cities, one wasn't entirely safe.

Just look at the Fatui presence in Mondstadt—hostile and overbearing.

It was then that Han Feng's golden finger appeared: the [God-Tier Manga Shop System] bound itself to him.

The manga shop he had just opened was a beginner's perk granted by the system.

Within the shop, Han Feng was an invincible existence. Each day, he could also randomly receive a reward from the manga currently in stock. Additionally, if he served a set number of customers, he'd get exclusive bonuses.

For the customers, spending 100,000 Mora would grant them a single manga-reading session. After reading, they were guaranteed to receive a reward from the manga—this could be an item, a skill, or even a creature.

Currently, the shelves only held two titles: One Piece – East Blue Arc and Cardcaptor Sakura.

If Han Feng wanted more manga, he had to purchase them from the system.

For every 10 customers served, he could draw one new manga title. The more customers he had, the more manga he'd unlock—and the more rewards he'd earn.

As a beginner perk, the first three manga draws required only two customers each.

However, possibly due to the shop's remote location, not a single customer had come through in the past two hours.

Han Feng could understand that. The location was indeed tucked away, but the real issue was the price.

Unlike Inazuma, where novels could be bought for a few thousand Mora, a single manga-reading session here cost a whopping 100,000 Mora!

What did that mean in real-world terms?

Roughly equivalent to several thousand RMB—a whole month's salary for most people.

Who in their right mind would spend that much just to read a manga?

Still, Han Feng wasn't too worried. He knew the true potential of the manga shop.

All he needed was that first customer. Once the word got out, the shop's reputation would spread like wildfire, and he'd never lack customers again.

Just then, footsteps echoed outside.

Han Feng looked up to see a blonde-haired girl with delicate features standing curiously at the door. Floating beside her was a small creature.

"Worries Relieving Bookhouse? There's actually a bookstore tucked away in a back alley like this?" Paimon blinked in confusion.

She and Lumine had just arrived in Mondstadt and were wandering around to take in the sights. By pure chance, they stumbled into this quiet alley.

They never expected to find a bookshop here of all places.

"What if there's something interesting inside? Let's take a look," Lumine suggested, her curiosity piqued.

The two stepped inside.

The store was quiet, with no other customers. A faint aroma of tea lingered in the air.

At first glance, Lumine saw a black-haired young man seated behind the counter. He had a calm demeanor and a faint, friendly smile on his face.

Behind him, the interior of the store came into full view.

From the outside, the shop didn't look very large, but the inside was surprisingly spacious and well-lit. Neatly arranged shelves lined the walls, with several sets of sofas and tables. Strange portraits of unknown characters hung on the walls.

Everything—from the walls and bookshelves to the tables and teacups—had a unique aesthetic. It was completely unlike anything in Mondstadt, which left both Lumine and Paimon in awe.

Even Paimon, who proudly claimed to be Teyvat's best guide, had never seen anything like it.

It was hard to imagine such a bookstore existed in a hidden corner of Mondstadt.

"Welcome to Worries Relieving Bookhouse, dear traveler from another world… and emergency food, Paimon. I'm Han Feng, the owner here."

Seeing these familiar faces, a hint of amusement flashed in Han Feng's dark eyes.

"Eh? You know us?" Paimon looked stunned, then quickly snapped back, stomping her foot in the air, flustered. "No, no! Paimon's not emergency food!"

"Boss, how do you know who we are?" Lumine asked curiously.

She didn't recall meeting this young man before. They had only just arrived in Mondstadt. Even that "emergency food" joke had only been said to Amber a short while ago.

So how did he know?

Could it be some special ability? Or maybe… was this young man a deity of Mondstadt?

Various theories flashed through Lumine's mind.

"Me? I'm just an ordinary manga shop owner," Han Feng said with a faint smile.
