Chapter 3 - 3: Wind-Wind Fruit

One Piece – East Blue Arc followed the adventures of Luffy and his crewmates in their quest for the pirate king's treasure—One Piece.

The thrilling journey had Lumine completely hooked.

What struck her even more was the camaraderie: partners embarking on an adventure, pushing forward together without hesitation. It deeply resonated with her.

Though… one part made her chuckle awkwardly:

Luffy and his crew ended up with bounty posters.

Sure, that was normal for pirates. But Lumine reminded herself to be careful.

She was on a mission to find her brother—not to become a wanted criminal in every nation.

Beyond the plot, what really caught her attention were the Devil Fruits.

Each fruit granted its user a unique power—very similar to Teyvat's Visions.

"If only I could get one of those powers," Lumine murmured. Then she smiled to herself.

"Just being able to read such an amazing story already makes this trip worthwhile."

A short while later, Lumine looked up with a face full of grievance.

"Boss, why did it end so soon? Where's the part after Reverse Mountain?"

She had just finished reading the moment Luffy's crew escaped and was about to enter the Grand Line.

Just when the story was getting good—it ended.

That kind of cliffhanger made Lumine deeply frustrated.

She even felt the urge to punch something.

"One Piece currently only includes the East Blue Arc," Han Feng said with a slight smile. "You'll have to wait for the rest."

"…Fine. Then, what about my reward?"

Lumine sighed, choosing to focus on what mattered more.

She was disappointed the story ended early, but what really concerned her was the promised reward.

Just then, the system panel refreshed.

[Customer Lumine has finished reading One Piece – East Blue Arc]

[Reward: Wind-Wind Fruit Ability]

[Wind-Wind Fruit – Logia-type Devil Fruit. Grants the ability to summon hurricanes and transform the body into wind element.]

[Note: This ability has been optimized by the system. The user is not affected by the Devil Fruit's original seawater and Seastone weaknesses.]

"A Logia-type user, huh? Lumine's luck is pretty incredible," Han Feng chuckled.

Logia abilities allowed users to imbue their attacks with elemental power.

They came with wide-area AoE skills and even the ability to elementalize, making physical attacks useless.

Now that the water-based weaknesses had been removed, it was practically a perfect balance of offense and defense.

Buzz—

A radiant beam of light descended from the ceiling and enveloped Lumine.

"What's happening? Lumine, are you okay?!"

Paimon flitted over, clearly alarmed by the sudden event.

"Don't worry, I'm fine," Lumine said, calming her.

As the light bathed her, she began to feel a strange energy coursing through her body.

It wasn't uncomfortable—in fact, it felt almost natural, as if her whole being had become as light as the wind.

Moments later, the glow faded.

Lumine turned to Han Feng, her eyes sharp and filled with curiosity.

"This is the Wind-Wind Fruit's power. From now on, you can not only command wind—you are wind," Han Feng explained.

"The Wind-Wind Fruit…"

Lumine nodded thoughtfully.

She recalled a scene from the manga—back in Loguetown, when a mysterious figure saved Luffy. A sudden gust of wind had blown away the smoke.

That must've been this power.

Wait—

If this really was a Devil Fruit ability, then didn't that mean…

"Will I still have the seawater weakness?" Lumine asked quickly.

"No need to worry," Han Feng reassured her. "What you've obtained is the ability, not the actual Devil Fruit. There's no downside."

"Good."

Lumine let out a long breath of relief.

She'd paid particular attention to that part of the manga. Devil Fruit users couldn't swim, and touching seawater rendered them powerless.

That would be a nightmare—especially for her. What kind of girl could go without bathing?

"Let me try this wind power…"

She focused inward, and at her command, whirlwinds danced around her feet.

Her body felt weightless—almost like she was the wind.

And then—

She floated off the ground.

She was flying.

Without the need for a Wind Glider. Without having to rely on ambient wind currents.

And that was just the beginning.

For offense, she could now summon hurricanes powerful enough to level towns.

For defense, she could turn into wind and avoid most attacks entirely.

"This power is amazing!"

Lumine was awestruck. Feeling the ability with her own body, she no longer thought the manga's price was steep.

In fact, she was starting to think it was underpriced.

100,000 Mora for a chance at such overwhelming power?

Once word got out, this place would be packed.

"If the very first manga gave me a reward this good… what kind of rewards could future manga hold?"

She fell into deep thought.

If she could gain more of those… her chances of finding her brother would increase tremendously.
