Chapter 5 - 5: Drawing a New Manga

As they walked out of the shop, Lumine and Paimon looked back at the store behind them with big smiles.

They never would've guessed that a casual stroll through Mondstadt would lead them to such a miraculous place.

Not only were the manga wildly entertaining—they even gained real, tangible items from them.

Lumine had obtained the Wind-Wind Fruit power, granting her the ability to summon hurricanes and elementalize herself.

A massive boost to both offense and defense.

Paimon hadn't gained a combat ability, but she got a compact, high-tech video camera that she absolutely loved.

And now, she was already planning to begin filming the Traveler's Logbook.

"To gain such incredible powers from just reading manga… this really was a lucky encounter," Lumine murmured.

The one who ran that shop—he couldn't be just a regular guy.

Could he be the Wind Archon?

But… would Barbatos really slack off to the point of running a manga shop?

Lumine had her doubts.

Still, she decided not to dwell on it too much and followed Paimon toward Amber's location.

Their appointment time was almost up.

Inside the Manga Shop

After Lumine and Paimon left, Han Feng set down his teacup and opened the system interface.

[Host: Han Feng]

[Current Manga: One Piece – East Blue Arc, Cardcaptor Sakura]

[Task 1: Serve 2 customers → Draw a new manga (2/2 completed) → 1 draw available]

[Task 2: Serve 30 total customers → Receive a unique exclusive reward (2/30)]

"A special reward, huh? Can't help but look forward to that,"

Han Feng mused.

He had no idea what the exclusive reward would be.

But with a name like that, it had to be something good—otherwise it'd be false advertising.

He shook his head and said aloud,

"System, draw a new manga."

[Initiating draw...]

[Manga drawn: Digimon Adventure (Season 1)]

[Digimon Adventure: Follows eight children including Taichi Yagami and Yamato Ishida, who accidentally enter the Digital World. With their Digimon partners, they embark on a fantastical journey.]

"Another childhood classic,"

Han Feng said with a soft smile.

He knew this one like the back of his hand.

The Digital World featured creatures of various types and elements—and best of all, they could evolve into stronger forms.

This setup is bound to be popular.

"Is it already noon?"

Han Feng glanced at the time. It was lunchtime.

He went up to the second floor—the area where he lived.

The place was fully furnished with cooking utensils and essentials.

After casually whipping up a quick stir-fry and eating, he leaned back in his chair, sipping tea, waiting patiently for more customers to arrive.

Meanwhile...

Lumine and Paimon exited the alley and found themselves once again in the bustling streets of Mondstadt.

They both looked a little helpless as they scanned the crowded roads.

To make things easier earlier, they had agreed to meet Amber in the central plaza—one of the most prominent locations in the city.

On the game's map, getting there was no problem.

But the real Mondstadt was at least a hundred times larger than the in-game version.

And the manga shop was quite a distance from the plaza.

Not to mention the streets were packed.

If they went on foot, they'd likely be late.

"Lumine, there are too many people… running there won't be easy,"

Paimon said, visibly worried.

After all, Amber was their very first friend in Mondstadt—they really didn't want to show up late.

Lumine frowned slightly. She agreed—walking wasn't going to cut it.

"In that case, we only have one option."

The moment her words dropped, whirlwinds formed around her, and her body began to lighten.

"Oh! I totally forgot—you can fly now!"

Paimon smacked her forehead in realization.

She'd gotten so used to their old routine, she had completely forgotten about Lumine's new power from the Wind-Wind Fruit.

"Flying feels... pretty good,"

Lumine smiled as she floated up, looking at the crowd below.

"Let's go!"

Once they oriented themselves, the two quickly soared toward their destination.

"Whoa! Someone's flying through the sky!"

"In the City of Wind and Freedom, that's not that unusual, right?"

"But that girl isn't using Wind Gliders! She's actually flying, and she's heading for the plaza!"

"Hey, you're right! How the heck is she doing that?!"

The scene naturally caused a stir among the citizens of Mondstadt.

Using a Wind Glider was a common sight—but someone flying unaided through the air? That was a rare spectacle.

Flight was undoubtedly faster than running.

In no time, Lumine and Paimon arrived high above the city square.

"Look! There's Amber!"

In her signature red outfit, Amber was easy to spot. Paimon immediately pointed her out.

"Let's go."

They descended toward the plaza.

Amber noticed them at once.

"You two... just flew down from the sky?!"
