Everyone entered the break area and noticed some changes. The first thing they noticed was some sofas and cushions forming a circle at the center of the room.
The second thing they noticed was a new room.
The third thing was two arcade machines.
The fourth thing was a prize corner.
The last change was some portraits on the left and right walls.
"Whoa!" Kirishima said.
"What the heck is all this?!" Kaminari asked.
"I made some additions to the building. Your welcome by the way." Trixter said.
"How?! You were with us the whole time!" Mina asked.
"Look, don't question it. Some mysteries are best left unsolved." Trixter said. "Now allow me to explain the new additions. Please turn your attention to the wall on your right."
Everyone looked at the right wall.
The first thing everyone noticed was that the wall had labels on the left and right side of it. They focused on the left side of the wall. It was labeled 'Heroes and Allies.' Underneath the label was a portrait of Stark. Next to his portrait was a portrait of Pepper.
Stark's portrait was labeled 'Tony Stark; Advanced Armor Hero: Iron Man' with the quote "I am Iron Man."
Pepper's portrait was labeled 'Pepper Potts; World's Best Assistant' with the the quote "You're all I have too, you know."
"So this is a tribute to the heroes of the MCU?" Endeavor asked.
"Heroes AND allies." Nezu corrected.
"Yep. From now on, any new heroes shall be added to this wall along with their allies." Trixter explained.
"A very respectful decision." Iida said.
"But what's with these other portraits?" Jiro asked.
Everyone turned to the right side of the wall. It was labeled 'Multiversal Counterparts.' Underneath the label was two more portraits, side by side. The first portrait was of Mei. The other portrait was of La Brava.
Mei's portrait was labeled 'Mei Hatsume; Genius Inventor' with the quote "Failure is the mother of invention."
La Brava's portrait was labeled 'La Brava; Beloved Partner' with the quote "I love you."
The portraits on the left and right side of the wall had an arrow between them.
It looks like this
(Stark's Portrait) (Pepper's Portrait) - (Mei's Portrait) (La Brava's Portrait)
"What does it mean 'multiversal counterparts?'" Jiro asked.
"Ah. Well, you see, I like comparing people from different worlds. So I thought it would be cool to compare people in your world to the people from the MCU." Trixter explained. "The multiversal counterparts are just your world's equivalent of said hero."
"So our world's version of Stark is Hatsume?" Melissa asked.
"Yep. They're both arrogant and reckless geniuses with a technological prowess." Trixter said. "I'd say Hatsume is the most similar person to Stark in your world."
"Well of course! Stark's a genius so of course we'd be alike." Mei said smugly. She was happy to know that the closest thing in their world to Stark was her. He was already her favorite hero, easily.
"So that means I'm our realities version of Pepper?" La Brava asked.
"Yes. Pepper is a wonderful assistant who cares very much for Stark and is always there for him when he needs her." Trixter said. "She is the perfect assistant one could ask for. You, La Brava, are always there to help and support Gentle. Your relationship with Gentle is a lot like Pepper and Stark's. You, too, are the perfect assistant one could ask for."
"That, you are." Gentle said.
La Brava smiled. She had felt rather similar to Pepper during the film so it makes sense that she'd be Pepper's counterpart. To her, Pepper was a great assistant for Stark. She was glad to know that she's the same for Gentle.
"Now then, please follow me to the left wall." Trixter said.
Everyone approached the left wall. It was the same as the right wall only this time instead of being labeled 'Heroes and Allies', it was labeled 'Villains and Allies.' Underneath the label was a portrait of Obadiah and a portrait of Raza.
Obadiah's portrait was labeled 'Obadiah Stane; Advanced Weapon Villain: Iron Monger' with the quote "You think that just because you have an idea, it belongs to you?"
Raza's portrait was labeled 'Raza; Ten Rings Leader' with the quote "Today, whoever holds the latest Stark weapons, rules these lands... And soon it will be my turn."
"You're also paying tribute to the villains?" Thirteen questioned.
"Hey, villains play an important role in the lives of heroes. Stark wouldn't have become a hero if it wasn't for Obadiah and Raza." Trixter said. "So, yes, they deserve to be included."
"I guess that makes since." Midnight said.
"But who is that?" Toga pointed towards the 'Multiversal Counterparts' area.
There was only one portrait there. Most of the cast had no idea who it was. But some did.
The portrait was labeled 'Kai Chisaki; Plague Doctor Villain: Overhaul' with the quote "This world is infected!"
Izuku looked at Eri and noticed her shaking. She looked scared of the person in the portrait.
"O... Overhaul..." Eri said shakily.
"Who?" Kota asked.
"Kai Chisaki." Nighteye said. "Otherwise known as Overhaul. He is the acting leader of the yakuza group known as the Shie Hassaikai."
"Yakuza huh?" Midnight asked.
"Yep. Thank you, Nighteye." Trixter said. "To be honest, I don't know of anyone in your world who is quite like Obadiah and Raza. Overhaul was the closest I could get. Much like Raza; Overhaul wants to use your world's most powerful weapon to control society."
"And what weapon is that?" Aizawa asked.
"Eri." Trixter answered, leaving everyone shocked.
They all turned to Eri who was still staring at the portrait of overhaul with fear in her eyes.
"How is this brat a dangerous weapon?" Shigiraki asked.
"You all remember Eri's quirk, right?" Trixter asked.
"Yeah. It's Rewind." Izuku said.
"Well, by using Eri's blood, Overhaul is trying to create bullets that can permanently erase a persons Quirk." Trixter explained.
"WHAT!" The cast gasped.
"That's terrible." Tsu said.
"Yeah! Who'd want to be quirkless." Mina said.
"You said he's using Eri's blood to make those bullets. Does that mean..." All Might began.
"Yes... Overhaul tortures Eri constantly in order to get her blood." Trixter said.
"That's why she has all those bandages..." Midnight realized.
"It gets worse sadly... Overhaul's quirk is called Overhaul. It allows him to disassemble and reassemble anything he touches. That includes people." Trixter explained.
Everyone widened there eyes.
"You mean..." Inko said.
"He tears her apart, killing her, and then puts her back together." Shoji said.
"What a monster." Kirishima said.
"Eri..." Izuku called out to her.
She jumped a bit before turning to him.
"It'll be okay, alright? He won't hurt you anymore." Izuku said with a smile.
"But... what about when we leave?" Eri asked.
"I won't send you back there Eri." Trixter said. "You'll be with the Pro Heroes. You'll be safe."
"He'll just kill them and take me back." Eri said. She didn't believe the heroes would stand a chance against Overhaul. The only person as strong as him was Iron Man. No one could beat Mr. Stark. (Oh, Infinity War is gonna hurt!)
"I'll deal with the villain easily. He won't be a problem." Endeavor said, attempting to ease the girl's worries.
Eri clearly wasn't moved by this.
The Pro Heroes felt terrible, All Might especially. He's supposed to be the Symbol of Peace, making a world where everyone can smile and live happily. And here was little girl, without a shred of hope in her eyes. He felt like a failure. When they leave this place, he would make sure to deal with Overhaul and bring light back into Eri's life.
"Hmph. Some heroes." Shigiraki said. "You act like you save people but you're never there when they need you the most. You only help if there's a crowd to please." Shigiraki actually felt bad for Eri. She was alone, waiting for help that never came. Just like him. Would Sensei have a place for her?
"Well, I think we should move on." Trixter said. "The reason Overhaul is similar to Obadiah is because he intends to make not only Quirk-erasing bullets, but also a cure for the bullets."
"Why would he do that?" Mineta asked.
"And how does that make him like Obadiah?" Todoroki asked.
"Because he plans on selling the Quirk-erasing bullets to villains, that will use them to render heroes powerless. Then he'll sell the cure to the heroes, who will have to buy from him if they want their Quirks back. Giving him a monopoly." Trixter explained.
"Selling to both sides of the war." Tokoyami said. "That sounds like Obadiah." Dark Shadow said.
"Anyway, that's all I have to say about this. New additions will be made to the hero and villain walls as we watch more films." Trixter said. "Now, please follow me."
Everyone followed Trixter to the new room. It was labeled 'Workshop.'
"Workshop?" Ojiro questioned.
"Huh! Does that mean what I think it means?!" Mei asked.
"Yep. This room was mainly implemented for Power Loader, Melissa, and Hatsume." Trixter said. "You three can feel free to work on stuff in here while you wait for the next film to begin."
"Thank you." Melissa said.
"All right! Time to make an arc reactor!" Mei said as she began approaching the door.
"Not so fast." Trixter stopped her. "You can go in there once I've finished talking with all of you."
Mei deflated. "What?! But I want to get to work!" She complained.
"You'll have time for that later. Now please follow me everyone." Trixter said.
Everyone approached the two arcade machines. The first arcade machine had an image of Iron Man and the name 'Iron Man Flight Simulator' labeled on it. There was a VR headset and some controllers.
"What's this?" Dabi asked.
"It's a little game dedicated to Iron Man." Trixter said. "It's what it sounds like. It's meant to give you an idea of what it's like to fly around in the Iron Man armor."
"That's pretty cool." Toga said.
"I'm gonna add a new game for every hero we see in the films." Trixter said.
"And what about this one?" Spinner gestured towards the second arcade machine.
It had the Marvel logo and the name 'MCU Legends' labeled on it.
"That is a different kind of game." Trixter said as they pressed the start button on the arcade machine.
A character roster appeared. There were only two characters; Iron Man and Iron Monger.
"Is this some sort of fighting game?" Bakugo asked.
"Yes! That's exactly what it is!" Trixter said.
"But there's only two characters." Sero pointed out.
"It isn't much now but I'll be adding new heroes and villains as we watch more of the films." Trixter said.
"Ugh. DLC characters?" Shigiraki rolled his eyes.
"Don't worry. It's free DLC." Trixter said. "Anyway, let's move on."
Trixter led everyone to the prize corner. There was some merchandise for both Iron Man and Iron Monger.
"As you can see, we now have some prizes for the Iron Man film." Trixter said.
The audience looked at the items available. The kids were the only ones who were interested.
Izuku had stars in his eyes. He loved Iron Man. The fact that he could now get Iron Man merch was awesome!
"Oh dear." Inko smiled nervously as she saw the look in Izuku's eyes. She was glad to see that he had cheered up after what happened with All Might.
Trixter began listing the items available. "We've got action figures of the Iron Man Mark I, II, and III. Action figures of Iron Monger. We got posters, cardboard cutouts, and statues (amiibo sized)."
"Man, all this stuff looks awesome!" Sato said.
"And last, but certainly not least, is trading cards!" Trixter said as he held up some cards. They were of various characters from Iron Man.
The cards vanished from Trixter's hands and a pack of cards reappeared.
"There aren't a lot of cards right now but I'll be adding a new card pack for each film." Trixter said. "I'll also update certain cards if necessary. For now, we only have the 'Iron Man Vol. 1' card pack. Eventually you'll have enough cards to battle each other. Or you could just collect the cards and that's it."
"Cool! So it's like a card game!" Sero said.
"Correct! A lot like Yu-Gi-Oh to be precise." Trixter said.
"Yu-Gi-Oh?" Tsu asked.
"It's a pretty popular anime from my world. There's a trading card game based on it. It's really fun." Trixter explained. "In fact, that 'MCU Legends' game I made for you is based on another game from my world called Dragon Ball FighterZ. It's game that's also based on a really popular anime."
"Hmm. How interesting." Nighteye said.
"Now, as you can see, there are price tags on these prizes. When you play the games I've left for you, you'll earn coins. Then you spend your coins here at the prize corner." Trixter explained. "And that's all the new additions."
"Does that mean I can go to the workshop now!" Mei asked.
"Not quite yet." Trixter said.
"What! What now!" Mei groaned.
"Now, we're going to have a little discussion. An MHA vs. MCU discussion!" Trixter said, leaving everyone confused.
"What?" Dabi asked.
"This idea was given to me by a reviewer by the name of MrMasterplan. Thank you very much for the suggestion." Trixter said.
Everyone just stared at them with a confused look on their faces.
"Basically, after every film, we'll have a little discussion about the MCU heroes and villains." Trixter explained. "We'll discuss how you'd all fair against them and what could happen if the events of the films played out in your world."
"That sounds like it could be interesting." Nezu smiled.
"But I wanna go into the workshop!" Mei complained.
"Once the discussion is over, you guys can do whatever." Trixter said. "Now come sit with me."
"Very well then." Kurogiri said.
MHA vs. MCU Discussion
Everyone followed Trixter to the center of the room and took a seat.
"So, we'll begin with a simple question. If you had to fight Iron Monger, what would you do?" Trixter asked.
"I wouldn't be able to do anything against him." Jiro said.
"I don't think that many of us would be able to beat him." Tsu said.
"Please. I'd blow that bastard to smithereens in an instant!" Bakugo boasted.
"I don't know man, even Iron Man's Unibeam didn't pierce Iron Monger's armor. Are you sure your explosions are that strong?" Kirishima asked.
"Of course they are Shitty Hair!" Bakugo yelled.
"His suit couldn't handle extremely low temperatures. Shoto could easily defeat him." Endeavor smirked.
Todoroki just glared at him.
"He probably can't handle extremely high temperatures either." Melissa pointed out. "Endeavor could probably beat him with his flames. Maybe."
"But there's also Iron Monger's weapons to consider. Most people don't have a quirk that could protect them from guns." Kurogiri pointed out.
"Todoroki, Thirteen, and... All Might are probably the best suited to dealing with Iron Monger." Izuku said. "Shigiraki and Compress would have a chance if they manage to get close. A few of you could also use Iron Monger's exposed wiring to your advantage. Asui, Iida, Ojiro, and Sero would be able to use their agility to get behind Iron Monger and rip out the wires. Hagakure, Midnight, and Power Loader could sneak up on Iron Monger. Tokoyami and Koda could use their quirks to destroy the wires from a distance. Twice could maybe make copies as a distraction. Kirishima, Ashido, and Kurogiri might also have a chance but that depends on the strength and control of their quirks."
Everyone just stared at Izuku.
"Wait a second. You remember everyone's quirks?" Mina asked.
"Um, yeah. I also wrote them all down in my notebook." Izuku answered.
"Why'd you do that?" Uraraka asked.
"U-um... I just like learning about quirks." Izuku answered. It wasn't the whole truth but he didn't want to say anymore than that.
"Well your observational skills are quite impressive. I agree with everything you said." Nighteye said.
"Yes. That was very good Midoriya. But try to give everyone else a chance to say something next time, okay?" Trixter said.
"Y-yeah, sorry." Izuku apologized.
"It's not a problem. Well, let's move on." Trixter said. "How would you all deal with Iron Man?"
"That would be a much more difficult task." Aizawa said.
"Unlike Iron Monger, Iron Man doesn't have any obvious weaknesses to exploit." Power Loader said.
"Exactly! Tony Stark's a genius! I doubt anyone could compete with his armor." Mei said.
"Not quite." Shoji said. "All Might could still beat him."
"Yeah. Not much is known about Uncle Might's quirk, but it gives him enhanced strength, speed, and durability." Melissa said. "He could just overpower Iron Man."
"Say, why do you call him 'Uncle Might'?" Ojiro asked.
"Her father is David Shield; a good friend of mine." All Might said.
"I've been close to Uncle Might all my life. He's always been a part of the family." Melissa explained.
"I was wondering if your father was David Shield." Momo said.
"Who's David Shield?" Kaminari asked.
"He's a famous support gear scientist. He designed all of All Might's hero costumes." Power Loader said.
"I think we're getting off topic. Is All Might the only person here you think could beat Iron Man?" Trixter asked.
"Shigiraki and Compress would also have a slight chance but they likely wouldn't be able to get close enough to use there Quirks." Aizawa said.
"All right then." Trixter said. "Now, if the events of Iron Man occurred in your world, what would happen?"
"It's hard to say. There's a lot to consider." Momo said.
"Well, I'll give you a starting point." Trixter said. "In this scenario, we'll say Stark Industries does exist and that Stark and Obadiah are still Quirkless. Given how much your world revolves around heroes, Stark Industries would have a focus on developing support gear for heroes rather than weapon's for the military. The Ten Rings are also still involved but they will be a part of the League of Villains."
"League of Villains?" Endeavor questioned.
"The League of Villains is a small villain group in your world. Kurogiri and Shigiraki are the only current members. By having the Ten Rings be a part of the League, it gives a reason for Stark to end up in Japan." Trixter explained.
Shigiraki just glared at them. He didn't want the heroes knowing all this.
"Why does he have to be in Japan?" Toga asked.
"Because the most important stuff in your world occurs in Japan. It's just a fact." Trixter said.
"Well, in this scenario, Stark Industries would be secretly selling support gear to villains." Spinner said. "And Obadiah would be secretly working with the League of Villains."
"This goes back to what we said about taking down a corrupt organization. Heroes wouldn't be able to do anything because they wouldn't have evidence against Obadiah and Stark Industries." Dabi said.
"Stark would still become Iron Man and would probably act as a vigilante to take down the League of Villains." Iida said. "Which means he would have made his debut in Japan."
"After dealing with the League of Villains, he would return to America to deal with Obadiah." Momo said.
"I imagine that the battle with Iron Monger would have been far easier with so many heroes around to help." Gentle said.
"Do you think Stark would still reveal himself to the world, even if he's a vigilante?" Kirishima asked.
"I doubt he'd care. He has enough wealth and influence to avoid being arrested." Compress said.
"I imagine with Iron Monger and the League of Villains taken care of, Stark would then go to a hero school and get a Hero License." Nezu said.
"We'll say he went to UA. It's the best hero school in the world after all." Trixter said.
"Iron Man would likely become one of the most popular heroes in the world. Being the CEO of a multi-billion dollar company, a former vigilante, and the world's first Quirkless hero would certainly garner some attention." Nighteye said.
"Not to mention the versatility of his suit. Iron Man would be capable of dealing with all sorts of situations and villains, allowing him to climb the rankings even more." Power Loader added.
"Hmm. So overall, Stark would become one of the greatest heroes of your reality. He certainly is remarkable." Trixter smiled. "Well, I'd say that's enough."
"Does that mean I can go to the workshop now?!" Mei asked.
"Yep. You all do whatever you want. I'll go get the next film ready. See ya." Trixter waved as they vanished.
Everyone went off to pass the time in their own ways.
Most of the students hung out near the arcade area. Some of them were trying out the 'Iron Man Flight Simulator' while others were battling each other in the 'MCU Legends' game.
"Ha! I win again!" Bakugo shouted.
"Aw man... You're way to good at this." Kaminari said.
"Hey, can I have a turn?" Kirishima asked.
"Sure. I'll kill you just like everyone else who thinks they stand a chance against me." Bakugo smirked.
"Whatever you say man." Kirishima smiled as he selected his character.
"Hey! I'm Iron Man!"
"Alright, alright. I'll be Iron Monger."
The map selection screen came up. The only map available was the front of the arc reactor building were Iron Man and Iron Monger fought.
"Huh? Is this the only map?" Kirishima asked.
"Yeah. That Tricky Bastard will probably add more maps later." Bakugo said.
"Alright. Well get ready to get destroyed." Kirishima smiled.
"Bring it on Rocky!" Bakugo yelled.
The villains were hanging out in there own corner of the room.
"Kurogiri? You still can't use your Quirk?" Shigiraki asked.
"No, Tomura. I've attempted to do so on several occasions." Kurogiri answered. "It seems we really will have to play by Trixter's rules."
"Tch. This is ridiculous! Are they seriously just going to make us watch a bunch of movies?!"
"I find it rather interesting. We are getting to see a different reality. Perhaps we could learn something from this experience. Trixter did say that's why they brought us here."
"How are we supposed to learn anything from this?!"
"Be patient Tomura. At the very least you should look at this as an opportunity. The League has been in need of allies and Trixter has put us in the company of fellow villains. Perhaps we can recruit them to our side."
"Pfft. Yeah right. A crazy girl, a guy who can't make up his mind, someone who isn't respectful enough to give their real name, and some guy who thinks he's good enough to be called a hero killer."
"They still could be useful to your cause Tomura. It's something worth considering while we're here."
The heroes and Inko were talking about there situation.
"So what do you all think?" Nighteye asked.
"The film was pretty good." Mic said.
"Not the film idiot. He's talking about our current situation." Endeavor said.
"Well, I don't think there's much for us to talk about." Nezu said. "Trixter already explained the situation to us when we got here."
"But can we trust them?" Aizawa said. "How do we know there isn't more going on?"
"I agree. Are we really just here to witness another reality and that's it? They'll just let us go once we're done?" Midnight said.
"That does seem strange." Inko said.
"Whether or not we can trust them isn't the only issue. There are a lot of mysteries that need to be solved." Power Loader said.
"Yes. Like why we were chosen specifically." Recovery Girl said. "There isn't a single thing that everyone here has in common. Some of us are heroes. Some are villains. Some are students. It's strange."
"Well, Trixter sounded sincere when he said he would leave Eri in our care once we leave. Maybe they aren't bad." All Might said.
"Maybe. We'll just have to keep our guard up. So far, they haven't done anything bad. Aside from kidnapping us." Thirteen said.
Izuku wanted to win some tokens so he could get some Iron Man merch from the prize corner. But before that, there was something else he had to do. He approached the workshop and entered the room.
Once inside, he spotted Mei and Melissa working on some stuff.
"Huh? Green-haired boy!" Mei smiled when she spotted him. "You're just in time."
"Oh. Hey Midoriya." Melissa waved.
"U-um. H-hi." Izuku smiled nervously.
"Did you bring those notes?!" Mei said as she got very close to his face.
"Y-y-yeah! I got them right here!" Izuku said as he handed her the notebook while blushing.
"Ah, excellent!" Mei said as she rushed back over to her desk.
"Um... I was wondering something." Izuku said getting Melissa's attention.
"Hmm? What is it?" She asked.
"Well... I'm not very good with support stuff but... I was wondering if maybe you could make a suit kinda like Iron Man's." Izuku said.
Melissa frowned. She knew what this was about.
"Is that about you wanting to be a hero?" She asked.
"U-um... Well... I know All Might said it wasn't possible... But Stark did it so I just thought that maybe I could... Be like him." Izuku explained.
"Of course you can!" Mei said. "I'm gonna begin working on making my very own Iron Man suit and you can test it for me!"
"R-really!" Izuku smiled.
"Ye-"
"No..." Melissa interrupted.
"Huh?! What do you mean no?!" Mei asked.
Melissa sighed. "Look, Midoriya, I know you want to be a hero really badly. I get it. But it simply isn't possible to be like Stark. He has many things that most people don't. He has access to money and resources that aren't available to most. But that isn't even the biggest problem."
"Huh?" Izuku asked.
"The technology necessary to replicate Stark's suit simply doesn't exist in our world. It might be possible to build a suit with enough time but we'd have no way of powering it. None of us have any idea how to make an arc reactor and nothing in our world would function as a suitable power source. Without that it simply isn't possible to make an Iron Man suit. I'm sorry..." Melissa explained.
Izuku frowned. It felt like all the hope in him had vanished. He was right back where he started. Hopelessly dreaming for an impossible outcome.
"Who cares if we don't have the technology! We'll just have to make it ourselves. A real genius doesn't let anything hold them back!" Mei said.
"It isn't that simple Hatsume." Melissa said.
Melissa understood how hard this was for Izuku. She had also been devastated when she found out she was Quirkless. She spent a long time wallowing in self-pity because of it. Things didn't get better for her until she finally accepted that she couldn't be a hero the normal way and looked for a new way to help people. Izuku needs to accept it to. Feeding him false hope will only prolong his misery.
"It's okay..." Izuku said. "Thank you for letting me know." He turned around to leave.
"Midoriya... There are other ways to be a hero. I found my way. You just need to find your's, okay?" Melissa said.
"Yeah... I know." Izuku said as he exited the workshop.
Izuku left the workshop and leaned against the door.
"Another person I could never hope to be like..." He whispered to himself. He didn't notice a certain someone standing next to him.
"Hi, Izu-kun." The person said, startling him.
"Ah! Toga?!" Izuku said.
"Himiko." She corrected.
"R-right. H-Himiko."
"You know, Izu-kun, you're pretty weird."
'I'm weird?!' Izuku thought. "What do you mean?" He asked.
"I just don't understand why you're trying to be a hero, even though you can't." Toga said.
Izuku frowned and looked down at his feet.
"I don't mean it like it's a bad thing. Being Quirkless is a part of who you are. You should be happy with yourself, not try to be something you're not." Toga said.
"I want to be more." Izuku said.
"Huh?"
"I've always wanted to be a hero. Since I was a kid, it's all I've ever dreamed of. I know it isn't possible but..." Izuku clutched his chest, tears forming in his eyes. "I just can't stand knowing that I'll never be able to save someone and give them hope. That I'll never be able to tell them that everything will be okay. Why was I born like this? Why won't I have the chance that so many others have?"
Toga didn't know what to think. She always believed that the world should be a place where people have the freedom to be themselves. And yet, here was this boy who didn't like who he was. He wants to be different. He was the exact opposite of her. She wishes she didn't have to be different to fit in.
"There's nothing wrong with it." Toga said. "Don't be ashamed of who you are."
Izuku just looked at her before walking away.
Toga would've liked to continue chatting but realized that he needed some space. She would settle for watching him from a distance.
Izuku walked over to the prize corner. While he couldn't be like Iron Man, he still liked the hero and wanted to check out some of the merchandise available in hopes that it could cheer him up a little. He noticed Eri was standing there staring at something.
"Hey, Eri." Izuku said.
Eri quickly turned to him. "H-hi..."
"What are you looking at?"
Eri pointed at the Iron Man action figures.
"Did you want one?" Izuku asked.
Eri nodded.
"Alright. Let's get some tokens." Izuku said as he and Eri walked towards the arcade area.
Izuku and Eri approached the Iron Man Flight Simulator game. There was someone about to begin playing it.
"Oh. Did you want to try?" Uraraka asked.
"U-um y-yeah." Izuku answered nervously. "B-but we can wait."
"No, it's fine. Go ahead."
"Um... Okay." Izuku looked at the game for a moment. "You want to play it Eri?"
"Um... I don't know how." Eri said.
"Don't worry. I'll help you." Izuku said.
"O-okay." Eri said.
Izuku picked Eri up and sat her down in the game's chair. He handed her the controllers and put the headset on her head.
"Alright. You ready?" Izuku asked.
Eri nodded and he started the game.
The game began with a tutorial voiced by JARVIS. Izuku helped her through the tutorial.
"Okay, so it looks like you just have to fly through some rings. Seems simple enough." Izuku said.
While he helped Eri, he heard a conversation going on behind him.
"Huh! How the hell'd you win, Rocky?!" Bakugo yelled.
"Told you I'd crush you." Kirishima smirked.
"Whatever! You just got lucky! Rematch, right now! I'll kick your ass this time!"
"All right, but can I be Iron Man now?"
"NO!"
Kirishima sighed. "You aren't really a people person, are you?"
Kirishima and Bakugo were about to Start their next match when...
"So what'd you guys think of Iron Man?" Mina asked.
"He was a really interesting hero." Toru said.
"Yeah! The way he beat Iron Monger and the Ten Rings was awesome!" Sato said.
"He started off pretty unlikable but after awhile he really became a noble hero." Uraraka said.
"Isn't it kinda crazy that he's a Quirkless hero?" Sero said.
"Yeah. Guess All Might was wrong." Kaminari said.
"He wasn't wrong." Bakugo said. "It doesn't matter if Stark's Quirkless. It's like Deku said. With that suit, Stark might as well have multiple Quirks."
"Not to mention that Stark is rich. Most people simply don't have what he has." Tsu said.
"Yeah. I guess you're right." Jiro said.
Izuku tried to ignore the conversation behind him. Once Eri finished playing the game, he helped her take off the headset.
Eri blinked a bit and shook her head a little. Playing a VR game had been a pretty weird experience. Although she loved being able to fly like Iron Man for a bit.
"You okay?" Izuku asked.
Eri nodded. "It was fun."
Izuku frowned. Eri says it was fun and yet she still hasn't cracked a smile at all.
Some tokens came out of the machine.
Izuku picked up the tokens. "Alright. Let's go back to the prize corner."
Izuku and Eri approached the prize corner.
"So which one did you want?" Izuku asked.
"That one." Eri pointed at the Iron Man Mark III action figure.
"Okay... Now how does this work?" Izuku wondered how to pay for the toy.
Suddenly, Trixter appeared. "Hello Midoriya."
"AH!" Izuku jumped. "T-Trixter? I thought you were preparing the next film."
"I am."
"What?"
"Don't worry about it. So you want to buy this action figure for little old Eri?"
"Um, yeah." Izuku said as he handed Trixter his tokens.
"Thank you. Here you go Eri." Trixter handed the toy to Eri.
"Thank you." Eri said as he began to mess with the toy.
Trixter smiled. "Well I gotta get going. And Midoriya."
Izuku looked at Trixter.
"Don't give up." Trixter said as they vanished.
Izuku stood there for a moment before turning to Eri, who was playing with her new toy. "So. Do you like it?"
"Mmhm." Eri nodded. "Iron Man is really cool."
Izuku smiled. "Yeah. Yeah, he is."
"Okay everyone!" Trixter suddenly appeared. "The next film is ready. Please gather your snacks, get your drinks, use the restroom if you need to, and enter the theater."
"What?! But I haven't killed Rocky yet!" Bakugo yelled.
"We can finish this later man. Let's go." Kirishima said.
Everyone prepared to enter the theater, curious of what they would be shown this time.
