Bruce immediately put his new watch on.
Betty then took out a pair of purple pants, and tossed them to him.
He held the pants in front of his waist to get an idea of how they'll look. He wasn't a fan of it. He looked at Betty with a confused expression, like he wasn't sure if she seriously thought he would walk around in those pants.
"What?" Betty questioned with a smile.
"No." Bruce shook his head as he tossed the pants back to Betty.
"They were the stretchiest pair they had." She justified.
"I'll take my chances." Bruce joked.
(1:04:19 - 1:04:36)
The audience chuckled at this scene.
"Yeah, I don't think purple really works." Mina said.
"What's wrong with purple?" Mineta asked, feeling a little hurt.
"A little fun fact for you all. There are many different realities where Hulk is known for wearing purple pants." Trixter informed.
"Really? He must not have a good fashion sense." Midnight said.
"Wait. There are other realities like this MCU one?" Iida asked.
"Yes and no." Trixter answered. "There are many realities across the multiverse. Some are completely different from each other while others are similar. The way I'd describe it is that there are primary realities and then there are variants of that reality. And those variants have their own variants and so on. The multiverse is full of multiverses. It's endless. The MCU is just one small part of the Marvel multiverse."
"How fascinating." Momo said.
"You all come from the reality known as MHA; My Hero Academia. Your world is the primary reality of your multiverse. Your multiverse is vast and filled with many unique stories. And it'll only continue to grow as time passes. The multiverse never stops growing." Trixter added.
The audience was amazed by that. To think there was so much out there that they didn't know about. They really were lucky to have been given the opportunity to see a reality completely different from their own. But it also meant that there was so much more out there that they would not get to see.
Author's Note: I just want to say that I love this fandom. There are so many creative ideas and concepts throughout the MHA multiverse that we've all created. I'm proud to be a part of this fandom. And I encourage all of you to share your ideas with this fandom and any other fandom. Make your mark on the multiverse so that it may continue to grow. :)
A news channel was shown, where a female reporter was covering the events that occurred at Culver University. Fire fighters, police, and paramedics were on the scene.
"Rumors continue to swirl about a violent clash between forces of the US military and an unknown adversary on the campus of Culver University earlier today." The reporter said.
(1:04:36 - 1:04:45)
"It's no surprise that the battle made the news." Mic said.
"Well, yeah. A giant green monster fought the military... and won." Sero said.
Ross was shown watching the channel, probably checking the aftermath of the battle.
"Sophomores Jack McGhee and Jim Wilson witnessed some of the battle." The reporter said before putting the two students on the mic.
"It was so big. It was like this huge, like, hulk!" Jim said.
"Yeah." Jack nodded in agreement.
(1:04:45 - 1:04:53)
"That must be where his name comes from." Izuku noted.
"So it was just what people called him on the news. Same as Stark." Ojiro said.
The reporter then showed the footage of the battle that Jack had managed to capture on his cell phone. She then mentioned that any search for Hulk was postponed due to the thunderstorms earlier.
Back at the motel, Betty was giving Bruce a haircut.
"Not to short back there, okay?" Bruce joked.
"I have done this before, you know." Betty chuckled before stopping to run her hands through Bruce's hair. "I don't understand how you've done this on your own for all this time." She said.
Bruce jokingly responded "With clippers, usually", making Betty chuckle again.
Betty rested her head on Bruce's shoulder and began kissing him on the cheek a little.
(1:04:53 - 1:06:05)
There wasn't much to say about this scene. But Mina, Toru, and La Brava loved every second of it. It was a very heartwarming moment between Betty and Banner.
Betty and Bruce later stood up, face-to-face, and the two began making out, no longer trying to contain their feelings for each other.
The two made their way onto the bed while continuing to make out. Banner's watch began beeping a little.
(1:06:05 - 1:06:24)
Now the scene, while still being pretty romantic, had become quite awkward.
Mineta, Kaminari, and Midnight loved the scene of course.
Kota and Eri couldn't see it. Kota huffed over the fact that the glasses he's wearing were once again preventing him from watching the film. Thankfully, he didn't bother trying to take the glasses off this time. He knew someone would stop him.
"Um... Should we be concerned about the beeping?" Sero asked.
"A bad time for the beast to come out." Tokoyami said. "That probably depends on who you ask." Dark Shadow said.
Bruce looked at his watch and saw that his heart rate was at 153. Ignoring this, he continued to make out with Betty.
Eventually, the beeping became too fast and Bruce quickly stopped, telling Betty that they can't do this.
"I can't get too excited." Bruce explained as his watch stopped beeping.
"Not even a little excited?" Betty asked.
Bruce simply sighed and laid his head down on Betty's chest.
"It's okay." Betty consoled.
(1:06:24 - 1:06:58)
"Hmm. That'd certainly be an interesting experience." Midnight said, wondering how things would've gone if Banner had transformed.
"Wait. That means he can't... You poor poor soul..." Mineta mourned, having realized the true tragedy of Banner's condition.
Meanwhile Izuku, while feeling very awkward about it, noted that Banner's Quirk makes it impossible for him to indulge in activities that would escalate his heart rate too much.
Ross was sitting in a dark room lit only by a few lamps. He was staring at a map while smoking a cigar.
Sparr entered the room. "Sir, it's Blonsky." She said.
(1:06:58 - 1:07:05)
This got the audience's attention. They were curious of Blonsky's condition.
Ross and Sparr where walking towards the medical room.
"Has anyone found out if he has next of kin or family?" Ross asked.
"Ask him yourself." Sparr said.
The two entered the medical room and saw Blonsky, completely healed.
"Sir?" Blonsky said casually.
(1:07:05 - 1:07:17)
"WHAT?!" The audience yelled.
"He's okay?!" Toru asked.
"He looks better than okay! He doesn't have a scratch on him!" Mei exclaimed.
"I thought you said he wouldn't recover." Endeavor said to Recovery Girl.
"He shouldn't have! Those injuries were so severe. I didn't think that Super Soldier Serum would allow him to recover at all, let alone this quickly." Recovery Girl explained.
"So the Serum has some regenerative properties as well." Aizawa concluded.
"Even so, for him to recover in just a day... I never could have predicted this." Recovery Girl said.
"Blonsky's Quirk gives him some powerful regeneration. Probably the most powerful aspect of his Quirk so far." Izuku noted.
Ross slowly approached Blonsky and placed a hand on their arm, checking for any scars from the previous battle. He didn't find any.
"Good to see you back on your feet, soldier." Ross said.
"Thank you, sir." Blonsky said.
"How do you feel?" Ross asked.
"Pissed off and ready for round three." Blonsky grinned.
(1:07:17 - 1:07:56)
Kota rolled his eyes. "Seriously? You're gonna fight Hulk again? When will you learn to just leave him alone?"
"Maybe next time he'll actually die." Toga hoped.
At this point, Eri felt the same as Ms. Toga. All her sympathy for Blonsky has gone out the window.
The heroes and students couldn't help but respect Blonsky. He nearly died and he was still willing to continue fighting. However...
"It's good that he's willing to keep fighting, but it's clear that this is turning into more of a grudge than a sense of duty." Aizawa said.
"I have to agree. Blonsky will play a vital role in Banner's capture. He needs to be focused on the objective, not settling the score." Nighteye said.
"How does Blonsky even expect to win at this point? His new Quirk wasn't enough and neither were those Stark Sonic Cannons. Banner took everything they had and still won." Kirishima said.
Most of the audience agreed with Kirishima.
"You're forgetting something." Kurogiri said.
"Huh? What are we forgetting?" Uraraka said.
"Just wait to find out." Nezu said.
Back at the motel, Bruce and Betty were preparing to leave.
Bruce took Betty's purse and poured all the items in it onto the bed. He then explained that they couldn't use any of the items because the government can track all of it.
Betty questioned if her lip gloss can be tracked. Bruce admitted that it couldn't and said she could take it with her. She then mentioned that she would need her glasses, to which he responded that she can take her glasses as well as her watch.
Bruce then conceded that they can actually use most of the items, just not the credit cards, ID, or phone.
(1:07:56 - 1:08:21)
"You can tell he's been doing this for a while." All Might said.
"He's aware of all the ways he can be tracked down. It's no surprise, given how he managed to remain hidden for 5 whole months." Aizawa said.
"And we'll take the cash, obviously." Bruce picked up the cash.
"How are we gonna get where we need to go on 40$ and no credit cards?" Betty asked.
Bruce looked down, not having an answer.
(1:08:21 - 1:08:30)
"Yeah, there isn't a lot you can do with that little money." Uraraka said.
"They'll have to make it work. I would suggest stealing some extra cash, but I doubt they would want to do that." Compress said.
"Well, we could sell this." Betty said as she held up the necklace she was wearing.
Bruce immediately rejected the idea. "No. No, that's the only thing you have left from her. No." He said.
"Well, we'll have to try and get it back." Betty said, clearly not taking no for an answer.
(1:08:30 - 1:08:42)
"The only thing she has left from her?" Mina questioned.
"It must be from her mother. They must have passed away at some point." Shoji said.
"And she's willing to sell that just to help Banner." La Brava smiled.
Meanwhile, Ross was in the middle of a conference, where the military was planning out their continued hunt for Bruce.
Sparr began to speak. "Federal is already monitoring phones, plastic, and Dr. Ross' web accounts, and local PD have been placed on alert. They'll pop up somewhere and when they do, it comes straight to us." She explained.
"They're not just gonna pop up." Ross stood. "He made it five years and got across borders without making any mistakes. He's not gonna use a damn credit card now." He stated.
(1:08:42 - 1:09:00)
"The hardest criminals to catch are always the smartest." Nighteye said.
"Which is why it's important for heroes to also remain smart. One cannot hope to win off of power alone." Nezu said.
"If he was trying to escape, he'd be long gone. He's not trying to escape this time. He's looking for help and that's how we're gonna get him." Ross said.
While Ross continued to speak, Bruce and Betty were shown at a gas station. Betty was distracting the cashier while Bruce used the computer to message Mr. Blue.
(1:09:00 - 1:09:05)
"That's a good point. He isn't just running now. He has a set objective and destination. Once the government finds out what that is, they'll be able to track him down." Iida said.
"In other words, since he's no longer trying to hide, he's more likely to slip up." Todoroki summarized.
"We know what they're after and we know he's been talking to somebody. You all have copies of the correspondence." Ross continued. "The aliases 'Mr. Green' and 'Mr. Blue' have been added to the SHIELD Operations Database."
(1:09:05 - 1:09:15)
"How'd they find out about Mr. Green and Mr. Blue?" Kaminari asked.
"Probably from when they got Banner's computer back at the bottling factory." Dabi answered.
"If he comes up for air, we'll be waiting. If he makes a peep, we'll hear him. And when he slips up, we'll be ready." Ross said.
While Ross gave his speech, Bruce sent his message and the data to Mr. Blue.
'Mr. Blue. Here's the data. It's time to meet.' - Mr. Green.
The screen zoomed into the computer and showed some imagery of what it would look like to see information traveling through SHIELD's database. The imagery showed all the data come together to form the SHIELD logo, showing that SHIELD is monitoring all of it.
The screen then zoomed into the logo, showing SHIELD's database searching for every mention of the name 'Mr. Blue'. It eventually stopped on the message Bruce had sent.
Using this message, SHIELD's database was able to trace the email address the message was sent to, discovering that the receiver was from Grayburn College. The database then searched for someone at Grayburn College in the department of cell biology. It found a match. Dr. Samuel Sterns.
(1:09:15 - 1:09:46)
"Looks like he finally made a mistake." Power Loader said.
"Is that really how it works? The government can just track everything you do on the internet?" Kaminari asked.
"Everyone knows that, Sparky." Bakugo said.
"It's necessary for governments to be able to track down criminals." Aizawa said.
Sparr was in a room with multiple soldiers and FBI agents. She was sitting in front of her computer, waiting for any lead on Bruce's location. Then the computer displayed that a match had been found.
She looked into it and a profiling of Sterns came up, revealing that he was in New York.
(1:09:46 - 1:10:00)
"So that's 'Mr. Blue'." Endeavor said.
"Dr. Samuel Sterns. Cell Biology. Figures he'd be some scientist." Izuku wrote down the identity of the man who had been trying to help Banner.
"And they know his location. Which means they know where Banner is going." Momo said.
"New York. That's not a good place to fight Banner." All Might said.
"If everything goes well, there won't be a fight at all." Nighteye said.
"Will it ever go well though?" All Might asked.
Bruce and Betty had bought an old truck from the gas station owner. Bruce made his way to the truck, preparing to leave, when Betty stopped him for a moment.
"Hey." Betty said as she held up a camera. "Smile." She said to Bruce.
Bruce gave a genuine smile. Once Betty took the picture, the two got in the truck, and left for New York.
(1:10:00 - 1:10:17)
The audience enjoyed this moment somewhat. It wasn't much, but one thing was very apparent. This was the happiest Banner had been since the start of this film. Simply having Betty around made his life better.
While on the road to New York, Betty felt a need to ask Bruce a question she's been pondering this whole time.
"What is it like? When it happens, what do you experience?" Betty asked.
(1:10:17 - 1:10:27)
Upon hearing this, Izuku readied his pen and notebook. Banner had one of the most fascinating Quirks Izuku's ever seen. It was a power obtained through science which makes it very different from every Quirk he's studied. He was eager to learn more about what it's like.
"Remember those experiments we volunteered for at Harvard? Those induced hallucinations?" Bruce asked. "It's a lot like that, just a thousand times amplified. It's like someone's poured a liter of acid into my brain."
(1:10:27 - 1:10:42)
"That sounds horrible." Kirishima said.
"And painful." Tsu added.
"Do you remember anything?" Betty asked.
"Just fragments. Images." Bruce answered. "There's too much noise. I can never derive anything out of it."
"But then it's still you inside it." Betty said.
"No. No, it's not." Bruce immediately responded.
(1:10:42 - 1:10:56)
"It isn't?" Midnight asked.
"I thought as much." Nezu said.
"So it's true." Izuku said.
"What is?" Ojiro asked.
"We were wrong about Banner's Quirk. We assumed that it puts his mind in a state of rage, but that isn't the case." Izuku began.
"Banner and Hulk are not the same person." Kurogiri finished.
"What?!" The audience shouted.
"Based on Banner's description, we can assume that when he transforms, his mind takes a back seat and Hulk is given control." Nezu explained.
"That is correct. Bruce Banner and the Hulk might share a body, but their minds' are pretty much separate." Trixter said.
The audience was shocked by this revelation.
"It seems his Quirk is more like mine than I realized." Tokoyami said.
"So Banner's Quirk is sentient." Izuku noted the new information. "It still is very unique compared to other sentient quirks."
Eri was a little confused. Was everyone saying that Mr. Hulk was actually two people?
"If they're two people, then Banner didn't really kill anyone. So he's innocent." La Brava said.
"I've heard that exact excuse before. Having a sentient Quirk changes nothing. The man is not innocent." Endeavor.
All Might disagreed. You can't punish someone for the actions of someone else. Especially not when that someone else is uncontrollable.
Author's Note: Isn't it kinda messed up that Tokoyami could get arrested simply because he accidentally used his Quirk at night around a bunch of civilians. I wonder if he ever suffered from the same social stigma as Shinso.
"I don't know. In the cave, I really felt like it knew me." Betty said.
(1:10:56 - 1:11:02)
"That is strange. If they're two different people, why is it so calm around Betty?" Mina asked.
"The way Banner described it sounds like his mind is still there, just not in control. Maybe he's able to influence Hulk subconsciously." Izuku suggested.
"That would also explain why Hulk always attempts to run whenever given the opportunity. It was Banner's desire to escape influencing his actions." Dabi said.
"Maybe your mind is in there, it's just overcharged and can't process what's happening." Betty continued, implying that there may be a way for Bruce to control it.
"I don't want to control it. I want to get rid of it." Bruce said, quickly shutting down Betty's idea.
Betty looked at Bruce for a moment before continuing to drive silently. She could tell this was a topic Bruce did not like discussing.
The two sat in silence as they continued their journey.
(1:11:02 - 1:11:20)
Toga frowned at this. She really didn't like how Bruce was so eager to get rid of his Quirk. He's acting like it isn't a part of who he is. Or like it's a part that he's ashamed of.
Meanwhile, Blonsky was in an operating room. Some syringes containing the Super Soldier Serum could be seen on a tray.
Ross entered the room. "Are you ready?" He asked.
"Let's even the playing field a little." Blonsky said as he approached the stretcher and a doctor closed the curtains to begin the procedure. It was time for Blonsky to get an upgrade.
(1:11:20 - 1:11:31)
The audience's eyes widened as they realized what was happening.
"Are they doing what I think they're doing?" Melissa asked.
"Yes. When Blonsky first received the Super Soldier Serum, he was only given a small dose. Now, they are going to give him a larger dose to enhance his Quirk." Nezu explained.
"But is that really a good idea?" Power Loader asked.
"Well there don't seem to be any side effects. I say we do it!" Mei said.
Despite this, the audience had mixed feelings. While there don't seem to be any side effects with a smaller dose, this was still a very experimental drug. Who knows what a larger dose could do. However, if it does work, Blonsky's chances of beating Banner will skyrocket.
Back with Bruce and Betty, the two were in the middle of some traffic. They where almost at New York, only having to cross a bridge to enter.
Bruce was asleep, but was quickly woken up by a memory of the gunship crash at Culver University.
Betty told Bruce to wake up, saying that something was going on.
Bruce looked around and noticed that traffic wasn't just slow. It had stopped completely. He exited the car to look ahead and saw that some police officers had set up a roadblock and were checking everyone who passed by.
(1:11:31 - 1:11:48)
"One of Ross' obstacles." Kurogiri said.
"It's always something." Toga sighed.
"We got to go. Walk toward the back. Just don't move to fast." Bruce told Betty.
(1:11:48 - 1:11:53)
"When searching for villains, it's always good to keep an eye out for anyone acting hastily." Aizawa said.
"But if the villain is smart, then they'll know to remain calm around the authorities." Mic said.
Both Bruce and Betty slowly walked away from the truck and onto the side part of the bridge.
They made their way to a shore, where they paid someone to give them a boat ride across the water and to New York.
(1:11:53 - 1:12:21)
"That's smart. Can't take the road, so take a boat instead." Kirishima said.
"Genius at work. Anyone could've thought of that." Twice said.
Now in New York, Bruce and Betty were looking at a map, trying to figure out the fastest route to Sterns.
"I think the subway's probably the quickest." Betty said.
"Me in a metal tube, deep underground, with hundreds of people in the most aggressive city in the world?" Bruce summed up how bad the idea was.
(1:12:21 - 1:12:33)
"Well, when you put it that way, it sounds like a bad idea." Aoyama said.
"That's because it's a terrible idea." Tsu said.
"Honestly, Banner being in such a heavily populated and chaotic city is a bad idea in and of itself." Power Loader said.
"Which is why his arrest is so necessary. He might not want to harm anyone, but if he ever accidentally transforms around civilians, all the casualties will be the governments fault for not taking action." Nighteye said.
The villains and Kota rolled their eyes while Eri simply huffed in annoyance. They couldn't stand the heroes.
"Right. Let's get a cab." Betty said while Bruce nodded in agreement.
The scene cut to Betty and Bruce, now in a cab. Unfortunately, this cab driver had no respect for traffic laws. He sped past cars, swerving left and right, and shouting things like "You're too slow" or "You drive like a woman" to the people he passed by, all while listening to rap music. Not quite the experience Bruce and Betty were expecting.
(1:12:33 - 1:12:41)
The audience wasn't sure how to react to this. Some laughed while others just stared in disbelief at the reckless driving they were witnessing.
Mr. Crazy Taxi continued to drive like a madman which only served to stress out Betty and more importantly Bruce. At one point, the driver wasn't even watching the road and nearly hit a guy.
Bruce's watch began to beep a little. No surprise there.
(1:12:41 - 1:12:52)
"This is literally one of the worst things that could have happened to Banner." Toru said.
"Are all cab drivers in New York like this?" Tsu asked.
"I don't know. I've never taken a cab before. I always either jump wherever I need to go or my buddy Dave gives me a ride." All Might said.
Eventually, Betty and Bruce made the driver stop and the two of them got out of the car.
"Are you out of your mind?!" Betty yelled as she stomped towards the window of the car to yell at the driver. "What is wrong with you?!"
"What's the matter, baby? You don't like a good ride?" The driver said, adding a kiss sound to the end of his sentence.
This only served to piss off Betty even more. She let out an angry grunt, causing the driver to realize he fucked up and he quickly drove away.
"Asshole!" Betty yelled, kicking the driver's car as he sped away.
(1:12:52 - 1:13:05)
"You better run, you jerk!" Mina said.
"Some guys have no respect." Jiro said.
"Well, at least that's over." Midnight said.
Betty let out one last angry grunt before turning to Bruce, who had a look of fear and concern.
"You know, I know a few techniques could help you manage that anger very effectively." Bruce said cautiously.
"You zip it. We're walking." Betty said.
Bruce nodded and the two walked to their destination.
(1:13:05 - 1:13:17)
The audience chuckled.
"Walking is probably the safest bet." Melissa said.
"At least then, they won't have to deal with terrible drivers." Compress said.
At Greyburn College, Sterns was shown leaving the building.
Betty approached him and introduced herself.
Sterns responded with a mixture of surprise and excitement. He seems to have heard of her.
"I have someone who'd like to meet you." Betty said.
"Okay." Sterns said, somewhat confused.
Bruce then approached. "It's Mr. Blue, isn't it?" He asked.
Sterns' eyes widened. "Mr. Green?" He questioned. He couldn't believe they were finally meeting.
(1:13:17 - 1:13:42)
"They made it." Kaminari said.
"The partners in crime finally meet." Momo said.
The group then went to Sterns' place. They sat down in his very cluttered office and talked.
"I got to tell you, I've been wondering if you were even real." Sterns began. "And if you were, what would it look like? A person with that much power lurking in him. Nothing could have surprised me more than this unassuming man shaking my hand."
(1:13:42 - 1:13:58)
"It surprised us too." Shoji said.
"I don't think anyone would expect Banner to turn into something like Hulk." Sero said.
Bruce and Betty looked at each other, probably thinking that Sterns isn't what they expected.
"But, look. We're not strolling into the park for a picnic, here." Sterns continued. "Even if everything goes perfectly, if we induce an episode, if we get the dosage exactly right, is that going to be a lasting cure or just some antidote to suppress that specific flare up? I don't know."
(1:13:58 - 1:14:17)
"So it might not even work." Power Loader said.
"That can't be right. Banner went through so much to get here. And now you're saying it might not work?" Gentle asked.
"Well... at least there is a chance that it does work." La Brava tried to look on the bright side.
"What I'm saying is that if we overshoot this by even the smallest integer, we're dealing with concentrations with extraordinary levels of toxicity." Sterns explained.
"You mean it could kill him." Betty clarified.
"Kill him? Yeah. I should say so." Sterns confirmed.
(1:14:17 - 1:14:33)
That shocked the audience.
"It could kill him?!" Iida questioned.
"D-don't do it then! There no reason to risk your life over this!" Toga said.
"Mr. Hulk... might die?" Eri asked.
Eri absolutely did not want that to happen. She really liked Mr. Hulk. This was the first time she had seen someone like her. She felt like she and Banner were connected. She didn't want him to die.
Bruce decided to bring up another possible outcome. "You should know that there's a flip side to this, too. If we miss on the low side, if we induce me and it fails, this will be very dangerous for you." He said.
(1:14:33 - 1:14:42)
"That's also true. Since they have to trigger Banner's Quirk during the procedure, if they fail to suppress it, both Sterns and Betty will be in immediate danger." Melissa said.
"So if they mess this up, they could either kill Banner or unleash Hulk." Todoroki summarized.
"This is far too risky." All Might said.
Sterns chuckled, not even slightly intimidated by Bruce's statement.
"Look. I've always been more curious than cautious, and that's served me pretty well." Sterns said. "So, are we going to do this?"
(1:14:42 - 1:14:53)
"Exactly! Curiosity never killed anyone." Mei said.
"Didn't it kill the cat?" Kirishima asked.
"If that's true, then show me the corpse as proof!" Mei said.
Everyone, aside from Mei, was unsure of if this procedure was a good idea. There were just too many risks involved.
Back at the military base, multiple soldiers could be seen preparing to leave in helicopters and other military vehicles.
(1:14:53 - 1:15:04)
"Ross is getting ready." Dabi said.
"Hopefully he doesn't interrupt the procedure. That could really mess everything up." Sato said.
Blonsky was shown inside a shower room, staring at himself in the mirror. Blonsky's back was shown and his spine could be seen growing to the point of protruding his back.
(1:15:04 - 1:15:31)
The audience was surprised, confused, and grossed out.
"What the heck!" Mineta said.
"That's definitely new. Is that supposed to happen?" Inko asked.
"I don't think so. It might be a side effect of the serum." Melissa said.
"So Blonsky's body is starting to mutate. That definitely seems like a bad sign." Izuku said.
Blonsky, now outside and dressed for battle, made his way towards the helicopter Ross was in. He entered the helicopter and took his seat.
"How you feeling, man?" One of the soldiers asked Blonsky.
Blonsky gave the soldier a maniacal grin. "Like a monster." He answered.
(1:15:31 - 1:15:54)
The audience didn't know how to feel about that line.
"Is he not going to tell Ross?" Iida asked.
"No, I don't think he will?" Kurogiri said.
"But he was specifically told that if there were any side effects from the serum, he should be taken off the team temporarily." Momo pointed out.
"I don't think he cares." Dabi said.
"He's too focused on beating Hulk. He isn't thinking about anything else." Aizawa said.
"Who cares about some stupid side effects? If he can still fight, then that's all that matters." Bakugo said.
Meanwhile, Sterns entered his lab and got everything ready for Bruce. He uncovered a table and set up all the machines.
"Okay. On the table." Sterns told Bruce.
(1:15:54 - 1:16:15)
"They're really gonna go through with this?" All Might asked.
"He went through a lot of trouble to get here. He isn't about to back out right at the finish line." Dabi said.
"All we can do is hope that things go well." Aizawa said.
Sterns strapped Bruce's hands and feet to the table. "These will protect you from yourself if you have a strong reaction." He assured.
"You can tell me later if you thought it was strong." Bruce said.
(1:16:15 - 1:16:25)
"I'd be more concerned for your own safety than his." Uraraka said.
"I doubt those restraints will be enough to hold Hulk down." Tsu said.
Sterns checked the machines and saw that one wasn't working properly. He responded in annoyance and smacked it, cursing the graduate students for the issue.
Bruce looked at Betty with a concerned expression. He was quickly beginning to lose faith in Sterns.
(1:16:25 - 1:16:36)
"That's not a good sign." Mineta said.
"Sterns really isn't making me very confident in this procedure." Recovery Girl said.
Sterns then typed into a computer. "This will be a somewhat... novel sensation. We have begun." He said.
Bruce's blood was shown being drained through some tubes to be mixed with the antidote. The mixed blood was then shown going back inside Bruce through some other tubes.
"The dialysis machine will mix the antidote with your blood. Except the antidote will only take hold once we've achieved a full reaction." Sterns explained.
(1:16:36 - 1:17:00)
Normally, Toga would love the sight of blood in this scene. But she actually had no interest in it. Knowing that it was Bruce's blood was an immediate turn off, considering the fact that his blood is basically poisonous. The other reason she didn't care about the blood was because she was far more concerned with this procedure. There was almost no outcome that she would like. She doesn't want Bruce to die, but she also doesn't want him to get rid of his Quirk and erase that part of himself. All she could do was hope that the antidote would only be temporary.
Meanwhile, Eri didn't react to the blood since she couldn't see it. Her glasses had activated for this brief moment. Trixter decided that this moment was a little too close to home for Eri. Seeing blood and needles was one thing. Seeing someone have their blood drained while strapped to a chair was something else entirely.
Sterns handed Betty a mouthpiece for Bruce to bite down on. She gave it to Bruce while Sterns applied an ointment on both sides of Bruce's head.
Sterns picked up a device and told Betty to take her hands off of Bruce. After she did as he said, Sterns proceeded to shock Bruce in the head using the device he was holding.
This shock instantly triggered Bruce's transformation. His body jumped and his eyes turned green.
(1:17:00 - 1:17:40)
The audience held it's breath as Banner's transformation began. There was no going back now. This had to work.
Sterns looked on in awe as he witnessed Bruce's transformation.
Bruce's body slowly began pulsating and turning green as he grew more and more.
Sterns was about to hit the button to administer the antidote when Betty stopped him, telling him that the transformation was not over. Sterns looked at her in confusion. There was more?
(1:17:40 - 1:18:05)
"What do you mean wait?! Stop him before Hulk breaks free!" Mineta yelled.
"They can't. Sterns said the antidote won't work unless they achieve a full reaction." Power Loader said.
"Which means Banner must complete his transformation." Nezu concluded.
Bruce continued transforming more and more. Eventually, Hulk's personality had come out and he began shaking back and forth, trying to break free.
Seeing that Hulk was beginning to tear out of the straps around his hands and feet, Betty told Sterns to push the button. Sterns, however, was unable to look away from Hulk. This sight was just to incredible.
Sterns then got knocked down by a piece of debris from the table and saw that Hulk was beginning to make the table sink from their weight.
(1:18:05 - 1:18:25)
"Why are you just standing there?! Administer the antidote!" Momo yelled.
"He's about to break free!" Kaminari shouted.
"This isn't the time to be awestruck you imbecile!" Endeavor said.
The audience was beginning to panic. This was starting to get out of hand.
Hulk sat up, growling angrily. Just as he was about to get off the table, Betty jumped onto him and attempted to keep him there.
"Bruce! Bruce, look at me. Stay with me." Betty said, trying to calm Hulk down.
While Hulk was still trying to get out, almost as if he could tell what they were trying to do to him, he seemed almost weakened by Betty's presence. He just couldn't push her off of him.
"The antidote, now! Sterns, do it now!" Betty ordered.
Sterns quickly went to the computer and tried to administer the antidote. But the computer wasn't working. "Oh, you've got to be kidding me!" Sterns said in frustration.
(1:18:25 - 1:18:43)
Aizawa facepalmed. "Why are you using faulty equipment for something so dangerous?" He questioned.
Sterns ran over to the machine containing the antidote and kicked it. This actually worked and the antidote was sent into Hulk's blood.
Hulk groaned in pain and had a look of shock, like he had been stabbed through the chest. His eyes turned blue and he reverted back to Bruce.
"Bruce? Bruce, can you hear me?" Betty asked.
Bruce didn't respond.
(1:18:43 - 1:19:23)
The audience waited silently. The antidote seems to have worked. Banner reverted back to normal. The only question was, did Banner survive?
"Please..." Toga begged.
"Mr. Hulk...?" Eri whispered.
"Bruce?!" Betty said, becoming very concerned.
Thankfully, Bruce had snapped awake and took a deep breath before looking at Betty.
(1:19:23 - 1:19:30)
"YES!" The audience erupted into cheers.
"He's alive!" Mina shouted happily.
"And now he doesn't have that awful Quirk anymore!" Toru said.
All Might let out a sigh of relief. "I was getting a little worried there."
"It's okay. You're okay. You're okay. You did it." Betty said as she placed her hands on Bruce's cheeks.
"He's fine. This is fantastic." Sterns said, blown away by the entire experience.
"It's over." Betty told Bruce.
Bruce was so tired that all could say in response was "hi".
(1:19:30 - 1:19:52)
"It really worked. He's finally cured." La Brava said.
"All of his work has finally paid off." Gentle smiled.
"Pretty big waste of a power, if you ask me." Shigaraki said.
None were happier for Banner's survival than Eri and Toga.
Toga found this outcome bittersweet. She was sad to know that Bruce really did erase his Quirk, but he was alive. That's what truly matters.
Eri was so happy for Mr. Hulk. He not only lived, but he is finally free of his curse. He will never have to fear harming people ever again. This did, however, make Eri frown a little. Eri had found comfort in the fact that there was someone else like her. But now, she and Mr. Hulk were no longer the same. He now had something she lacked. Freedom. He was finally free to be more than what his Quirk made him. He was no longer a monster. Eri couldn't help but feel a little lonely now.
Overall, everyone was pleased with this outcome. Regardless of how they felt about Banner; regardless of who's side they were on; they all agreed that this was best for everyone. Banner will still be arrested and tried for all the crimes he committed as Hulk. But once he serves his sentence, he'll be free to live a normal life and he can finally put all this behind him.
That is, if this actually worked.
