It was dark, pitch dark. There was no light in sight, just pure darkness. I had no idea where I was, it was too dark to tell. So, I did the only thing I could, I started to walk. I didn't know where I was going, I just knew I had to walk. After what felt like hours, I saw a bright light shining at the end of the dark room. I walked toward the light. It started to dim down so I ran faster, I knew I had to get into it before it was gone completely just before the light vanished I jumped. I was taken into a bedroom inside of a castle. There was a woman sitting on this canopy bed and she was sitting in the opposite direction of me. All I could see was the back of her but she had the same color hair as me but hers was long, she was wearing a white wavy shirt, grey joggers, and she had her hands in front of her. "Hello?" I asked, trying to determine who this woman was.
"Good, you're here. I've been expecting you." She placed her hands onto her knees and stood up. "Who are you?" I asked. "I think you know." She turned around and I put my hand over my mouth. She had the same blue eyes as me, and she looked so much like Leo and I. "You're dead?" I asked. "Yes, I am dead and so are you for a short while anyway." I knew who she was, this was my mother. "I'm dead? What do you mean?" She smiled walking up to me.
She held my hands. "We do not have very long, you will not be dead forever Orion's bringing you back." I shook my head. "But I still have so many questions." I said. "I wish I could answer them all for you but for now." She put her hand on my face stroking my skin. "For now you will have to live with them." She put her hand down. "Oh my dear daughter, I wish I could've watched you grow up into the beautiful woman that you are today. Sadly, life can be too cruel." She stroked my hair. "How am I here? Why did you say i'm not dead for long? What does that mean?" I bombarded her with questions. "Orion's bringing you back as we speak so you must listen."
She grabbed my hands again. "You must believe me when I tell you this because it's essential to your journey. You mustn't tell a soul. Do you understand?" My mother asked. "Yes! I understand, tell me." I replied. "I knew you could handle anything even as a little girl. Baby, your father's-" I jolted upright with a ragged and desperate gas. I felt like my lungs had starved for air for centuries. "Luna thank god." He hugged me. "I have to go back. Where is she?" I said patting the grass panting. "Luna, what are you talking about?" Orion asked, pulling away. "She was just here, she was there! She was going to tell me something." I panicked trying to find out what happened. "She who?" Orion asked, confused. "MY MOTHER! She was here and she was about to tell me something about my father but then I was pulled away."
Tears came down my face. "Luna, your mother is dead and has been for years." I put my hands on my head. "I KNOW BUT I SAW HER!" Orion raised an eyebrow. I started to grow angry, I was burning up, I felt like I would explode at any moment. "Do you not believe me!?!" I yelled. "Woah, Luna calm down. Your eyes are red." I put my hands on my head. "I'm sorry Orion, I think the orb is still affecting me." I sighed. "When I died I saw her. She was speaking to me." I bursted into tears. "Oh Luna, I'm so sorry." He once again gave me a hug. "Where's Leo?" I asked after noticing he was missing. Orion put his head down. "The eclipse order took Leo." Orion said. "What? Why didn't you go after him!" I yelled. "You were dead, how could I just leave you? If I had, you would be dead now." I tried to stand up. "No, we have to go after him now!" He grabbed my hand. "And we will! For now, you have to rest. You'll be no use to Leo if you can barely move. I know a place where we can lay low for a while, come I'll help you up." He stood up and grabbed my hand helping me up but I was taken into another one of Orion's memories. This one was different, odd even. Orion was holding a baby in his hands and he was poking at its belly.
The baby looked like a girl. I walked up to Orion. "Who is that?" I asked but no response. I had forgotten that I couldn't communicate in memories. I touched the baby. This felt familiar, almost like I had been here before. "You will do great things one day," Orion said to the baby then he booped its nose which made it laugh. I blinked a few times then I was back in Moonlit field. "That was odd." I said out loud. "What was odd?" Orion asked. "I think I saw one of your memories but it was just you holding a baby? It was weird." His expression quickly grew upset. "Did I say something?" I asked. "No it's fine, let's just start going. The eclipse order could be back any moment." And so, he helped me up and we began to walk out of Moonlit field. "Where are we going to go?" I asked.
"An old friend of your mothers." Orion replied. I could barely stand but I pushed forward knowing that I didn't want Orion to see my weakness, with Leo around it made it easier to be around anybody else but without him, I was lost. I trusted Orion with my life but I missed Leo. My slide started to flare up for no reason and I winced. Orion noticed. "I'm fine, just keep going." He stopped. "Luna, just look at yourself! You look pale." I gulped, shoving Orion away. "I'm fine, we need to go." He put his hand through his hair. "No Luna, you need rest." I rolled my eyes. "I will get rest once we get to our destination." I continued to walk, not giving Orion a chance to speak or not allow me to go. I knew one thing, I couldn't stop now. Orion said nothing. He sped up ahead of me and I continued to follow him. The entire way I felt out of touch with reality, in pain, and unaware of what was happening around me. Until, my face crashed directly into a tree. Orion raised an eyebrow.
"You're fine huh?" He stated. I was about to respond when my entire body flared. "AH." I screamed, dropping to the floor. Orion darted toward me. "It hurts!" I yelled screaming in pain. "May I?" He asked. I nodded, barely able to speak. He lifted my shirt looking for what could be causing my pain but there was nothing. "Luna, what could be causing this?" He asked. I was about to answer but the pain suddenly vanished into thin air. "It's gone." I said. "What?" He asked. "The pain, it's just gone!" I repeated. He looked concerned but decided not to press, so we continued walking. I could still feel the orb inside of me like a leech that refused to leave it was latching on for dear life and I wondered if that could be the issue. While I was lost in thought, Orion said.
